Great location and great value.

When we first arrived I found the receptionist was a bit short with us checking in. Didn’t explain much and when I asked questions about breakfast hours and more information- she seemed annoyed that I asked. Thankfully the next day after arrival the receptionists were friendly. One other thing I didn’t like or wasn’t aware was that the phones in the rooms don’t work when you hit button for front desk. I needed toilet paper and kept trying to call and the phone/front desk buttons didn’t work. I had to walk downstairs and was told that you had to dial 0. Which I didn’t think of or told to call. Aside from this minor experience everything was excellent. We had breakfast everyday, tried the bar and the food there too was great. We had a great comfortable trip. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel is slightly off the beaten path but still very central, which was a big plus. The hotel room and some of the furnishings are definitely a few years old, and there was some wear and tear on certain items, but overall, the impression was still fresh, and the room was a good size. The price for the room was ridiculously good, and I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone looking to save on accommodation costs and spend more on Guinness instead.

The receptionists were rather brief: I didn’t receive much information about the hotel or its amenities, and they gave off a slightly tired impression to me as a guest. The bed was a bit too short for me, with my feet sticking out – this may not be an issue for everyone, but it's worth noting for anyone taller than 185 cm.

Location was excellent. Staff were very helpful and we were greeted with champagne upon arrival. Room was comfortable and had a nice view of river.

Parking garage was scary!! We had midsize car, but the narrow width of the ramps and turn space made it very difficult to get up to the next level. It took us backing up several times to reposition in order to make the turn up the ramp. We had to go up four floors to find a spot and very stressful. This is the first time driving in Ireland. Can’t imagine anyone with a large car, or SUV, or truck being able to park here. Wish there was another option, or valet parking, as this hotel is a perfect location. Breakfast was only fair.

The beds were so, SO comfy. We usually fight for space on our bed and, inevitably, push eachother off the edge. But that wasn't a problem at all with our bed at Leonardo Hotel. The mattress was like a soft, fluffy cloud that molded our bodies perfectly. Went to sleep in a little under a minute, no joke. The location was very central to the City and had great access to Eyre Square for the Christmas Market (which was our reason for our stay here). The view from the window of our 2nd floor room was pretty. A photo is attached of the view when we woke up in the morning. The shower was breathtaking. They have Rain Shower heads, which are my favourite and are directly overhead and (you guessed it...) rain down on you. Simply divine.

Location. Unfortunately, we were in Galway during the Storm, Ashley. Beds were comfortable. We were on 3rd floor facing the river which was nice. Breakfast was affordable and plentiful. Large shelf in the bathroom was very helpful. Liked that the windows opened. The bathroom mirror had a great feature that stayed clear during a steamy shower. Having a bar and food available on premises was helpful with the bad weather.

Windows leaked during the storm. The european windows were old and rusty. Not enough places to put the luggage - no luggage racks. I had to use the window sill for my bag. Shower had a bit of a leak in the corner. Larger bathroom but very little room near the sink. Need more hooks for towels, clothes in bathroom. Not a fan of the half glass partition on the shower. It gets cold with no door.

The location right next to Quay Street/The Latin Quarter is superb. And all the rooms overlook the river, so there is not really a bad room. It was lovely to have the outdoor courtyard with plenty of seating. We enjoyed having a beer in the afternoon. The only downside was that the servers were having a hard time keeping up with all the people, so tables did not get cleared quickly. We also liked having the car park attached to the hotel, which made it very convenient. The car park is VERY tight so DO NOT try to navigate it with a large vehicle. It is very busy in front of the hotel due to the location. Despite this, we did not hear much street noise at night or early in the morning. Also, we LOVED the little welcome treats the hotel left for us. It was much appreciated after our long international flight and drive from Dublin.

The room got a bit warm at night, but it was also unseasonably warm outside. The rooms do have A/C (a rarity compared to everywhere we stayed in Ireland!) but they do not get super cold at night.

Extremely well located, very friendly staff. We got a room with river view so despite being in the heart of Galway it was rather quiet. Modern room, very clean. There are at least 3 nice coffee/breakfast places at 5min walk. Check-in and checkout were fast and super easy.

Parking is not free, it is €12/day (per 24h). But is it possible to change the ticket to a flexible one so you can go in and out as you want. Note it is very narrow so tricky to drive and park if you're not comfortable driving or have a big car. Go to floor 4+ for more space. Also A/C in the room cannot be disabled because of some AI optimization. You can turn it off but sooner or later it will turn on again automatically. We tried to set the temperature higher, lower, open the window, it ends up turning on every time. But it works well as system is quite new.

Great location in the bustling heart of Galway and pretty quiet considering the location. The room met all my expectations regarding facilities, cleanliness, etc. All the staff members I encountered were friendly and helpful.

Just a couple of minor items.... May have been unique to just a few rooms but around the bed in mine was difficult as there was only about 200mm between the end of the bed and the TV unit. Weird design choice. It was difficult to shower without flooding the bathroom. Room service didn't change the towels which would have been my preference in any case. However they folded and replaced them in their original positions rather than leave them hanging where we left them so we couldn't identify whose was whose.

Staff were very helpful & pleasant and they made us feel very welcome from the beginning. Location was terrific. Room was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The food in the dining room was also very good. It was a good shower with plenty of room.

The phone in the bedroom was not working. There were no drawers for clothes in the room which would have been handy. The safe in the room did not open with the passcode though the staff were very helpful to rectify the situation. This is not a criticism as the staff would not have noticed, but the heated mirror in the bathroom was upside-down. This meant that the bottom of the mirror had condensation after the shower while the middle to the very top cleared for viewing.

The location is perfect with everything Galway has to offer on its doorstep. The recent refurbishment is very impressive. Rooms have everything required for a very comfortable stay. I loved how the windows where we were staying at the front of the hotel were fitted with noise barriers. We still had a fabulous view but could shut out all the noise. Breakfast was delicious a great menu and staff kept replenishing the buffet so no matter what time you arrived for breakfast food was really fresh. Staff were really busy but very friendly and willing to answer any queries. There was an option to check in/check out on line.

I have nothing negative to contribute.
