The location was ideal and was in walking distance of everything. We were right in the centre of the main street, which had many different place to go for food. You are within 10 min walk to the train station and 25 min walk to Salthill. The price you pay is good for what the rooms are, the rooms wouldn't be great for a longer stay then a few days, as they are quite small if you plan to spend some time in them. The rooms were snug as expected by the images and name. The staff couldn't have been nicer and went above and beyond, which was great. The noise of the streets that other people had mentioned could not be heard were our room was, you couldn't here any of the outside noise unless you opened the vent on the window or the window it's self.

We liked every part of our stay so don't have much at all to say for the what we didn't like. Everything was great and we couldn't find any issues. Other than we wouldn't recommend this place to older people or people who have mobility issues or injury as you have to climb into the bed from the end of it by stepping up onto the end of it as the bed was inclosed by walls all around it other than the end of the bed.

I asked for a room possibly on the lowest floor and my request was granted, for which I am very grateful. The bathroom was comfortable, so was the bed, there was a kettle in the room which was helpful. My room was away from the front door so I didn't experience any noise given that the hotel is located right in the city centre. And then there's the location - the main street from where it's close to everywhere. Very friendly staff, if my fortunes ever change in Galway I will definitely be back. The room was very clean and the staff changed towels and tidied up every day.

A small discomfort was the lack of a fridge and a small table.

Room was actually larger than we were expecting with a small sitting area which was great for luggage. Tastefully decorated. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom was clean and well equipped. 24hr reception and easy check in. Location right in the heart of the action, great if you are just visiting for the one night!

Efforts had been made to make space for hanging things (wet towels etc) but more would have been appreciated. No windows (fine for just a night). Some noise from a nearby bar through the wall, earplugs were provided which was thoughtful, again, fine for a night and didn't stop us sleeping, but worth noting if you are a light sleeper.

A very central location. The front desk and housekeeping staff were all really nice and helpful. Extremely comfortable bed, good shower. While the room was tiny, it did have several areas to store things.

The room was very small! I don't know if this is the norm for Galway. It was a very nice room, but the size bordered on hostel size. Would have liked a few more hooks to hang items in the room and the bathroom (there were several hooks, but with a room this size, would like more). As other reviews mentioned, there was a lot of sound coming from neighboring businesses (i.e., bars/pubs). Our room was apparently one of the quieter ones and we really could only hear faint thumping from club music. It all stopped at 2am and was very quiet after that.

Loved the location so central, was afraid noise would be an issue but not at all. Shower was fantastic. Big bed and very comfortable

Would have liked to be able to get around the other side of the bed or perhaps even to get in at the bottom and one side. If the shelving unit was removed it would make more space and just leave shelves under the gap in the bed as i dont think they are essential or they could be moved over to the side with the mirror on it and put the mirror there instead of the hooks. But that's not a big deal wouldn't stop me coming back again.

Great location in the heart of Galway. Really tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, great use of space (it's snug but it works and it has everything you need), comfy bed and super helpful staff. I booked a larger room and made a special request that it was a quiet room. When we arrived we were told that combination wasn't possible as the large rooms are at the front on the hotel where you do hear noise from the street. We were given a standard room with a window away from the street and that was all we wanted. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!. They refunded the difference in price. Great little hotel!

Nothing. I wouldn't stay here for a week but it's perfect for a couple of nights where you're out exploring the city during the day and eating out in the evening.

Our holiday in galway was excellent. I was amazed by how the snug is located in the middle of quay street, it is very accessible to anything. The staff were all friendly and approachable. What I like most is that the room is very clean and comfortable which is the most important factor to consider for me. Thank you as well for the free upgrade, me and my husband really appreciate it. I commend the all the staffs specially the excellent receptionists and cleaners of snug for doing an excellent job.

I like the snug townhouse a lot, I just think that it would be better if there was a railing for hanging the clothes instead of the hooks.

The Snug is a very appropriate name for the accommodation, and although small the fantastic design, stylish fit out and comfort of the rooms makes staying here fun and a pleasurable experience. The locaction, right in the heart of Quay St was amazing and the staff very friendly and helpful. Our room overlooked the street and had little windows alcove that you sit in and look out over Quay St. So good.

Nothing. Can be a little noisy at Pub closing times so if you are light sleeper wear earbuds. It's a more than reasonable trade off for everything else that is so positive.

We stayed in one of the Snug rooms! It was small but the pictures matched perfectly. Everything was new and the bathroom was very nice and clean. Bed was very comfy. The location of the place is incredibly convenient because it's very central, but do be aware that it's right in the middle of the bars. Nevertheless, since our room was towards the end of the building, we hardly heard a thing (nothing on Friday, we heard the bass on Saturday but honestly it was very manageable). They even offer ear plugs but we did not need him. For sure would return if I ever go back to Galway!

Nothing, it matched my expectations.

Excellent location in the heart of the action. We could stay out late for music and had no worries getting back. Despite the location, our room was very quiet and we slept VERY well. The configuration of the room is quite tiny with very creative use of space.

Be prepared to literally CLIMB into bed. If you are ready for that, you'll love it. We live in the EU and were surprised at the UK power plugs... totally forgot that they are different. Not too much of an issue for charging our phones at night except that the room had no USB charger outlets. This could be a BIG improvement.
