The Rooms are very well equipped and spotless. The food at the dinner was excellent. Breakfast was fantastic with many variations available and the view of the bay from the small room at the front was just breathtaking.

I have only one gripe and that is that the Dinner Menu on the Website was not the same as the actual menu on the site. my partner is a strict vegetarian and it is difficult to plan for meals out so we always look at the menus in advance and plan our meals around that. We spoke to a couple that were staying there for a few days more than us and told us that the menu was the same all week. It doesn't take much to update a menu on line so its really lazy for any establishment not to do so.

Comfy beds, well stocked bedroom (bathrobes, toiletries, tea and coffee, iron, extra blanket). Breakfast was delicious, and we managed to get an early check in which was great as we weee travelling with small children.

We only stayed one night and really it was great. Being picky I’d say that the water pressure in our room for the shower was a bit disappointing but perfectly fine, just a bit weak. And at breakfast we all got served our cooked breakfast before my toddler who was losing patience to sit down, so maybe a policy of serving small children first, if only to keep the peace for everyone else! We had a great stay though, that’s me being picky!

View was just fabulous. It was wintertime and mostly dark when I was here but the bit I did see in sunlight has made me rebook a visit for next year. Food in the hotel was gorgeous both days - dinner and breakfast. Staff were so lovely and welcoming which made the stay for me. Hotel very easy to find, bed divine and room huge.

My room was cold despite the heating being on. It was only because I had a huge bay window (sea view) which seemed to let a lot of cold in. Massive curtains helped keep some of the cold out. I bet its stunning in summer. Wouldn't put me off returning.

Location

Paid for our dinner via card at bar counter after my pre booked meal €44. Then when checking out was told their was a room charge of €49.50 I explained I had already paid the previous night and offered to show this on boi account the difference was obviously €4.50 I was shown receipt large bottle of water which was clearly tap water. Yet I wasn't charged this when paying in the first place. Staff were understanding though and I hope it was resolved. Our room was very comfortable.

Gorgeous little boutique hotel. Very pretty reception area. Asked for room with walk in shower, and booking was changed without fuss. Stairs is a little steep, and no lift. Tasty breakfast, served to your table. lovely dinner in the restaurant.

hard to think of anything - maybe a biscuit with the tea/coffee in the room? Oh, there was no kettle, I assume we were supposed to use the coffee maker for water for tea, but isn't quite as hot as a kettle. Or maybe I just missed the kettle.

This is a traditional hotel that has all the modern facilities that you would expect. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel is centrally located and close to the sea front. I was concerned car parking might be an issues but found plenty of unrestricted spaces available in the street adjacent to the hotel. We ate our evening meal in the bar / restaurant which offered the typical range of gastro pub food. An enjoyable stay

Everything was fine.

The room was nicely appointed with quality fixtures, fittings and carpet. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel dining room and lounge were welcoming, smart and comfortable. They also have a bar dining area called Hickies which serves excellent food in tasteful surroundings.Everywhere was very clean and the staff are all super attentive and outstanding.

There was nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom, so once damp it was tricky knowing what to do with them. There were tea and coffee making facilities mysteriously found in the wardrobe! But finding an accessible plug and where to put the kettle was hard. I found a socket behind the wardrobe but had to put the kettle on the floor to reach the socket!!! Not ideal. A little bit of street noise but if you’re in the centre this is to be expected. It wasn’t a problem.

Lovely hotel, great location. Staff were excellent, really friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable, looked like they had been recently modernised.

On our first night unfortunately there was an alarm going off in reception which kept us awake from about 3am. Our room was right above reception so it was loud. We did flag it with the receptionist the next day but she didn’t know what it was. The window above the door in our room did have a blind but it didn’t cover it properly and so the room was very bright at night. There was also a gap between the floor and the door of the room which meant it was noisy as people were coming up and down the stairs. This wouldn’t put us off our stay as it really was lovely, but fixing these things would have made our stay 10/10.

The Bay view is one of those special places that will always stay in your memory. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly, I got a call from them letting me know my late check in would be after the dinner service had ended, this was great customer service. The hotel its self is tastefully decorated with a mix of modern design and amazing antique furniture, the bar & restaurant lighting was just right and the music was very chill, the perfect atmosphere for a drink and the super seafood. Can not recommend enough !!

Nice pub, beautiful rooms & great view!

Had a little hick-up the morning we were checking out. Apparently only one lady was capable of checking people out of their rooms & she was gone. The waitress took my email address and said she would have her boss email me the invoice, but I never received one. Since I booked through booking.com I wanted to confirm we were being charged the price we were quoted.
