Aran View is a beautiful hotel. It is at the top of a hill which leads down to the port and is about a half hour walk away from the port and around 20 minute walk to the bars and restaurants in Doolin. Sharon was a brilliant host. The hotel has several apartments in the courtyard at the back of the hotel and fortunately for us, they had a cancellation for the 3 nights we were there, so Sharon gave us the option of having a full apartment to ourselves instead of a room in the hotel, which was perfect. Breakfast was lovely. It is a bit if a walk to the restaurants, but weather was perfect, so was not an issue for us. Would definitely stay there again.
It was all perfect.

Located on the Coast Road above Doolin town, Aran View does not disappoint with great views to the Aran Islands and the Cliffs of Moher. We enjoyed these views from the comfortable sitting room on the second level as our guest room was on the back side of the house. Our room was comfortable, quiet and well appointed. The dining room is attractive and breakfast was quite good.
This property does not have a lift, so guests need to carry their luggage up the stairs (two floors in our case.) We knew of this and it was not a problem for us, but could be for other travelers.

My wife and I stayed at Aran View for three nights in room 228. The room was spacious with a king bed, full bath and ocean view. Sharon, is a wonderful host and person. She was so accommodating, she made arrangements for us to feed the lambs ( an atypical request) along with feeding us every morning with a delightful breakfast. The grounds and facilities have been in her family for four generations and it shows in the pride of ownership. Sharon made great local attraction suggestions, all were terrific. We spent two weeks traveling Ireland and this was by far our favorite.
We couldn’t stay longer.

Great view of the coastal area and surrounding rolling farmland. The Country House is beautiful and has nice gathering rooms. All these quaint places have plenty of stairs. It is located so close to Cliffs of Moher you can drive there in less than 15 minutes. The coolest thing was to drive 5 minutes to McDermott’s bar for a super Irish pub and live music that usually starts about 9-9:30 pm. Good food and drinks and people!
Slanted entry into our bathroom was unique!

The Aran View is a charming older hotel, well managed by Sharon and Laura who were very helpful to us and also very friendly. We had a large room, comfortable beds, breakfast was great with many choices and was served quickly. The hotel is just a minute or two by car from McGann's Pub and McDermott's is also close. O'Connor's is a few more minutes south. I would stay here again.
No complaints.

We had a fabulous stay from start to finish. We were a group of 10, and everyone’s needs were catered for perfectly. Great communication before the stay, with advice re restaurants, taxis etc. The house was warm and comfortable, and exceeded our expectations. Would love to have stayed more than one night !

The view from the hotel's lounges and breakfast area is absolutely beautiful, with the Cliffs of Moher just off in the distance. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast and served fast, which gave us that much more time to head out and explore the Burren! Laundry service was available (extra fee, but reasonable) and although they said it might be the next day before it was delivered, we got it back that night. Beer & wine are available in the ground floor lounge and are not overpriced.
The bathtub needed a nonslip mat, but one wasn't provided. Like most older buildings in Ireland, there is no lift, just stairs, something to note if anyone in your party has mobility issues.

The location was great - just a few minutes drive from the centre of Doolin where you can find several pubs and cafes. There was a lovely sea view too. Breakfast was plentiful and there were lots of options. All tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful, upgrading us to a larger room with a bed that suited us better.
We had to vacate our room due to a fire alarm early in the morning on our final day.

Highly recommend this property for your visit to Ireland.
