Francesco is the best. Very knowledgable about cruises and the city. Like a little mini-guide. The rooms are classical, mine had a nice balcony and view of the street across from the museum. Bathrooms are well kept and there are well-stocked complimentary snacks and drinks. The hotel is near the port enterence with several shops and resturants nearby. We had an issue when the chair my dad (who is a heavy man) was sitting on broke. He was just sitting there talking to me when it happened. I offered Francesco money for the chair but he declined and would not take it. I got to say, that was very nice of him and shows his great character.

As with most European hotels, rooms are small. We had three people and the second bed is a sofa bed. You also need to leave the keycard in to power the room. All this is standard in Italy and most of Europe, thus this is a general complaint not directed at the hotel. Even the cruise ship we were on had this keycard feature. For first time travelers from the US may find this to be alien. The bathroom however was a lot larger then the hotel we had in Rome and quite spacious.

Great communication from the start. We were greeted directly and given a full tour and run down of how keys and doors worked. The room included a lightly stocked mini fridge and snacks that were all included - a really nice touch. They also handled arranging a shuttle to the cruise terminal the next morning for a very modest price - while also fully detailing the least expensive options in terms of public buses. Easy walking to shopping and restaurants.

There is only one small elevator. This isn't the fault of the Guest House but a function of the building it is in. We didn't have any trouble with the elevator - just needed to be patient and careful not to load too many bags and people in at once.

Francisco was friendly, organized, helfull and considerate. The only thing I would like to point out is that we were directed to the cruise ship the long way. In fact the Museum guest house is located a walk away from the cruise ship shuttle just on the other side of the little castle by the port. Which could be a great selling point.

Very clean accommodation in a good location if joining a cruise. Staff were exceptionally helpful and facilitated a very late arrival.

Not particularly a dislike, but this is not a boutique hotel like I envisaged but rather a collection of rooms on the second floor of what I believe is a multi use building with some commercial businesses and offices as well as private rooms. Whilst breakfast is provided this consists of a selection of pre packed biscuits and pastries together with juices and yogurts in the room fridge, again not quite what I envisaged, but as we were only staying one night ahead of joining a cruise it was adequate.

Great location, friendly and helpful hosts, room was amazing. Breakfast was nice. Castle/fort was just down the street. Restaurants just up the street. They got us a taxi to take us to pier but you could’ve taken the bus for free. Had a great stay!

Couldn’t figure out how to turn the temp of the shower down. Probably a user error. Didn’t have a chance to ask because we were only there for one night. Not a deal breaker. Would’ve asked if we were staying more than one night.

The property was very well located, making it easy to get anywhere you needed to. The staff were fantastic at check-in explained everything to us gave us excellent recommendations for a restaurant and how to get around show us all of the features of the property and the room and we’re absolutely delightful It was a perfect place to stay for the day before our cruise and honestly, I consider spending several days there. It was just so nice. The fridge had a stocked mini bar that was complementary as well as a complementary Italian breakfast. That was also wonderful. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly and we were able to check our last minute details on the Internet with no problem. The room was impeccably, clean very comfortable. The air conditioning worked perfectly and you were able to open the window to see the street outside. The neighbourhood was clean, quiet and safe, able to walk to local shops and pick up the last-minute things we needed They for a taxi to take us to the port. It arrived on time and delivered us safely to where we needed to be without any hassle and the cost was only €20. Was excellent value for money I was very impressed

There was absolutely nothing that we didn’t love about this property

Everything was great here. The proprietor is very detail oriented and you can tell he has tried to think of every little thing that his guests might need. Really an exceptional innkeeper! Beautiful modern bathroom and the place is nicer than it looks in pictures. VERY clean. There is a little lobby/office so no problem with storing luggage but our room was already available even though we arrived very early from our cruise ship. Liked the town more than we expected to.

Nothing. Everything perfect. Thanks, Francesco!

Fantastic gem of a hotel!! A nice modern look and feel, with the latest amenities. Excellent service, at a great price point. Thank you for your efforts in accommodating Gluten Free dietary requirements. Best GF breakfast I've ever found while travelling. Well done, Francesco and Barbara!!

Our noisy room neighbours were loud. Not really a reflection on the facility at all, but simply some people who had no respect for others made it a bit challenging.

The bed was very comfortable & roomy! A continental breakfast was included. I really enjoyed the Greek yogurt & honey. Mmm! It was great having a fridge in the room which had complimentary treats for us. The host, Francisco, went above & beyond in coming to meet & greet us from the train station! (We’d had a two hour flight delay & we’d to wait 45 mins for a train & so this kind gesture was SO appreciated!🙏)

I wasn’t particularly happy with the small table & chairs but considering the available space, it was adequate.

Only booked a standard room and even though the room was quite small it was very well fitted out . Bathroom and included amenities were of a very high standard. The continental breakfast would be one of the best I’ve experienced. Added bonus of having a stocked mini fridge with water, cool drinks, yogurts all complimentary. The host, Francesco would be the friendliest most accommodating person I have ever come across with great recommendations as to where to eat. Would definitely recommend 👍

My only complaint is the the mattress protector was way too big for the mattress and therefore did a fair bit of slip sliding around throughout the night 😂
