Room was a great size with the bed on an upper level, nowhere unfortunately to sit if more than 1 person other than the bed was only 1 chair. Very clean room & bathroom within a great location to walk to all attractions. Breakfast was simple but fine, the coffee machine a little unreliable but was quickly rectified by the gentleman on service. The young man on Reception was very pleasant when we checked in. Good value for money for all round.

Quite a bit of noise coming from work happening in the garden courtyard area, not a problem for us as up early, but may not please everyone if wanting a long lie. Gent on breakfast could smile/chat a little more, as it wasn't the most welcoming for guests over Breakfast!

The location is perfect only 5 minutes walk from the railway station. and Room was very nice and clean I really like the view from the window which provides a beautiful picture Tuscany dwelling system and their tile roof design.

Breakfast was very low quality and the men's staff was looking at everything on every second which makes many peoples uncomfortable. I would agree with all the previous reviewers who mentioned this incident. Last day we decided to have breakfast outside at Shake café to avoid seeing the beautiful face of the staff in the very early morning.

The location is superb, right on the outskirts of the Centro Storico, and within walking distance of everything. It is on a quieter part of a street with a lot of restaurants and cafes, so lots of eating options close by. Florence is a lively city, and can be pretty noisy, but the rooms here had awesome sound proofing, so we slept wonderfully. I never expect much from breakfast on Italian hotels (at least not unless I'm staying at a 4 star hotel or better), but this was quite good. Room seemed newly refurbished, with new bathroom with a great shower. Hotel seems well-run and very clean.

Beds are firm, whether that's a plus or a minus is a matter of taste. They were on the firmer side for my taste. While there was a lot of variation on the breakfast buffet, the scrambled eggs were quite dry (but hey, there was scrambled eggs available!).

My husband, two children and I stay in the family room and it was perfect for our stay! The reception staff is great, and they are very helpful for everything you need! The hotel also gives detailed instructions for checking in and answer the messages very fast! The reception staff also give tips for places to visit in Florence, out of the touristic area, restaurants, and let us leave our bags there after the check out! The rooms are comfortable, and cleaned every day. The breakfast is very good and delicious, having everything you need! The location is great, in a quiet neighborhood, 5 minutes away from the train station and close to all other tourist area. We definitely recommend it! Thank Hotel Cara Mia staff for making our stay memorable!

The hotel is in a friendly pedestrian street with some bars and restaurants. Relative central and at walking distances to the Duomo, the train station, the University, actually mainly everywhere. The staff was friendly and the breakfast with plenty of options. The room was clean and modern and the toilet was probably renovated a short while ago.

I found the price charged for the spa expensive, so I didn't go there. It's a pitty they didn't offer a time-slot free of charge for guests of the hotel or a more competitive price.

The hotel was great and suited our purpose. It was tough putting three people in one room, but all we needed were three beds and a bathroom. You absolutely cannot beat the location. A five minute walk to the train station and easy walking access to all the amenities of the city. Hotel Mia Cara was great. Of course, you cannot forget about the friendly staff. We got there a little early and the gentleman at the front desk had no problem storing our luggage. The breakfast is also fantastic. Certainly not used to a breakfast like that in the US. If we ever come back to Florence, we’ll be sure to stay at the Mia Cara.

The elevator is a little small. So you may have to take a few trips if you have several bags. Not the end of the world though.

I liked the staff most of all. Very very friendly and helpful. In regards to cleanliness, it was super clean I think it was the most clean I have seen in hotels.

The hotel is a little bit outdated decoration wise, and I think water could be included.

The hotel is modern and clean although located in a very old building. Staff were exceptional. Location was very convenient. Situated close to the edge of the old city, it is close to buses that will take you to Pitti Palace but within easy walking distance from Uffizi Gallery, Ponte Vecchio, Leonardo Museum and other tourist attractions. There is a mini supermarket close by and a street full of upmarket shops. Also close to the central market selling food items with an outdoor market selling tourist items and endless stalls selling leather goods. The hotel provides a wide-ranging buffet breakfast with something for everyone. You can eat inside or if you are lucky, in the small outdoor garden, protected by a gazebo. Our room was small but functional. The shower worked well.

The hotel was faultless. The only thing to dislike is the crowds of tourists, even outside the peak season. However, we had no queues for visiting the Cathedral, Uffizi Gallery, Pitti Palace, Boboli Gardens, Leonardo Museum (well worth a visit).

The housekeeping staff is exceptionally lovely and the rooms are spotless. All of the staff was very helpful and accommodating. The room was comfortable and the room size was ample. The pillows were perfect. The breakfast was the most extensive I experienced over 4 weeks in Italy.

It would be nice if the breakfast foods were kept on a warmer during service. In spite of arriving for breakfast within the first 45 minutes every morning during a 6 night stay, the scrambled eggs, sausages, beans, etc, were always cold.

All of the staff arne soooooo friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is set in a reasonably quiet street with little traffic. The street has nice trattories with exceptional food and reasonably priced. It's near the tramline which is cheap to travel around on. It's about a 7-8 minute stroll to the main train station which has regular (and cheap) fares to local and further afield towns/ cities. The hotel is less than a 10 minute walk to the City centre which has many attractions (but can be quite crowded and pricy). The hotel reception can also supply cold drinks which is so nice after a long hot day.

Breakfast was very good both cold and cooked (but PLEASE invest in a covered hot plate for the cooked food).
