Hotel Marina is a perfect cosy hotel conveniently located in the middle of the old town of Mnterosso al Mare. Pleasant spacious rooms. Good bathroom. Good beds. Excellent breakfast with freshly made dishes from the menu. Friendly service. Even our arrival late evening, in the middle of the night, was no problem. We were a family group of ten persons at the age from 14 to 80 years staying at the hotel for four days, and all ten were excited about this pleasant hotel. We should also mention that the hotels own restaurant Da Eraldo 50 meters down the street, must be the best restaurant in Monterosso city.

Nothing. Everything was perfect.

We loved this little hotel room because it was very clean and and had a very comfortable bed and a very nice bathroom. We also had an excellent breakfast that was included that had a good variety of choices and was in a nice environment on top the hotel surrounded bay lemon trees. The staff was excellent and very responsive and friendly. It had a very good air conditioner and small refer which was a nice surprise! We were also able to borrow beach umbrellas, beach towels and a kayak. This hotel is a crown jewel!! This was probably our favorite place to stay during our trip to Italy!! I would highly recommend it!

The location was great-a short walk from the train station, near the main center of the old town, not far from the beach, restaurants, etc. The room was sufficient, more than I expected for the location. They really know how to provide the the extra details to improve your stay. Cold water next to the elevator was great, especial on a hot day. The hotel also has a restaurant a couple blocks away, which was one of the best restaurants (Da Erdaldo) we have ever eaten at in Italy. This was because of the quality and quantity of the seafood and again the extras they provide to increase the joy of the experience. The only downside was that the restaurant is closed on Thursday nights (the family needs some time off) so we were forced to eat somewhere else on Thursday. My wife loves seafood and she would eat there every night if she could. Breakfast was served in an idyllic setting each morning. On the 4th floor of the hotel they have a patio where you eat breakfast under lemon trees looking out at the hillsides. Breakfast had a few items out for self serve, but the rest of the breakfast was ordered off a menu (all you want) and made to order. Again the extra details on how they made the breakfasts was great! We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast each morning. We would without hesitation recommend the Hotel Marina.

We had a lovely room with beautiful white and beige lace curtains. We were happy to have a fridge, a water cooker, coffee, tea and sugaring our room. The bathroom was enough big and it was clean. The breakfast was fine, just enough choices that one tend not to overeat.

There was nothing that we didn't like. May I make a comment about the restaurant, Ristorante da Eraldo. I believe it belongs to Hotel Marina also. We had our dinner there on our last night and we ordered seafood soup. It tasted so good and we ate everything that they served. We have seen that there was not a mussel or green shell that had good meat in it. They all had some kind of very small dried meat inside that was not easy to take out of the shells. In fact some shells were still closed which normally indicates dead mussels. My husband and I talked about it at the restaurant but it didn't occur to us to tell the waiter or the cook about it. The next morning I had a mild stomach pain and I had to take a painkiller. Could it be from the shells?

Perfect location in the old town of Monterosso. Close to many options of eateries, and easy walk to the free beach. Friendly and helpful staff. We arrived early to check in and they allowed us to leave our luggage plus provided us with beach towels and an umbrella. They also helped with purchasing a daily train pass along the Cinque Terre. The accomodation was perfect for us, room clean and spacious. Amazing delicious breakfast options in the lemon garden, which if you walk up to the very top of the garden you’ll have a beautiful view. Best aircon, actually freezing cold, which was perfect to walk into on the 30° days. Don’t hesitate to book, we recommend to stay here!

The hotel is in a quiet side street, with a lovely roof terrace, where we ate breakfast. The small double room was fine for one person, but would be a tight squeeze for 2 (and no space for luggage). The bathroom is tiny, but clean. Breakfast was extensive, with lots of freshly cooked and cold choices, plus pastries, yogurt, etc. The reception and breakfast staff are friendly and really helpful. Overall I would recommend for a pleasant and quiet stay in a good location.

Anyone with long legs can't sit straight on the toilet, as the wall is so close. The bed was a bit hard, but this may be a personal thing.

I give 6 stars to the breakfast. They cook it right after we place the order. Even the breads are toasted-warm and display nicely. I love the smoothies (both lemon smoothie and mixed fruit smoothie). The hotel is located inside the town in a quiet neighborhood. We follow the instructions given by the hotel after we book, so it's very easy to find. Rooms are well decorated and very clean. The entire hotel is very cozy. They give us a magnet as souvenir when we check out. The restaurant down the street is also owned by this hotel. Food is good there too. Because we stay at the hotel, we get a discount dining at this restaurant. If we are to revisit Cinque Terre, we would stay at this hotel again.

If the restaurant owned by the hotel is open 7 days a week, that will be perfect. Also their kitchen is closed at 9pm, kind of early.

What a lovely, charming boutique hotel in Monterosso. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean. Hotel is small, and while walls not very thick between rooms, never disturbed or woken up. Quiet neighborhood. About a 10-15 minute walk to train station. A lot of restaurant selection. They have water bottle refill station. And wow, what can I say about the breakfast …. Lemon garden is so lovely. Breakfast included, among other things, fruit smoothies, selection of juices that included green apple juice (so tasty), crepes, yogurt, eggs scrambled or as omelette. And of course pastries. All of excellent quality. Service staff at breakfast are so friendly and accommodating - a wonderful start to day.

Reception staff welcome and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast service was efficient and prompt. The location is ideal situated in the old town and minutes away from the beach and history of the town. Bed was firm but very comfortable.

The upper sun decks had insufficient shaded areas. Our experience at their own restaurant was disappointing, with us having to send the food back. The steak was well done and tough, when a medium was ordered. The lasagne with Ragu was dry.

The breakfast was outstanding! Hot made to order omelets, scrambled eggs, waffles. The breakfast wait staff, a young man, was exceptional. The breakfast cooks were so responsive and fast with preparing all orders. The outdoor breakfast area amongst lemon trees was beautiful. The hotel is in old town Monterosso which is the least hilly of the 5 villages so rolling our luggage from the train station to hotel was not a major undertaking. The hotel also has a small elevator.
