Absolutely loved our stay here! A family run hotel with lovely friendly staff, they always said hello when we walked in. The hotel is situated at the northernmost end of Monterosso, a fairly easy level walk from the train station, there are a few stairs at the entrance but a lift inside. Our room didnt have a balcony but the big windows opened out and we had a nice view of the outdoor terrace area and a glimpse of the water. Downstairs is a large lounge area and a bar. Breakfast included was a good selection. The room was spacious enough, beds comfy and plenty of storage space. No kettle or fridge in room. Bathroom small and the shower was annoyingly small, no room to bend over if you drop the soap. Location was excellent, easy access to plenty of cafes & restaurants, easy walk to train station and maybe 15min walk to old town & ferry. Would definitely stay there again.

We were delighted with this lovely boutique hotel in Monterosso del Mare. The photos do not do it justice. It is hard to find accommodations in Cinque Terre that don't require many flights of stairs and with certain comforts. The place was beautiful, clean, comfortable beds, A/C, excellent shower (obviously - small bathroom/shower as throughout most of Italy). The breakfast was outstanding. There are beautiful outdoor patio spaces in front and to the side which were underutilized - wonderful place to sit and have a drink, with sunbathing chairs and firepits. The hotel has a small bar. They provide towels for the beach, upon request. The staff (owners?) are delightful people who are very friendly and accommodating. The location was quiet and we found several outstanding restaurants nearby (suggested by the hotel). It is very near the beach (several open beaches and several paid/cabana type). There is a lift, so you don't have to cart luggage up and down stairs. The location may be a problem for some, but was fine for us. It is at the far end of the frontage of Monterosso's "new" town beach area. Any hotels of any size have to be located here, and they are the only ones of this type that you'll find in the five villages. So, there is a little walk from the train, and a longer walk to the ferry. HOWEVER, The walk. is almost entirely FLAT and this is important in Cinque Terre. We had no problem rolling our luggage to the hotel. (but you'll have to carry up and down from the train track!) (I think you actually can order some kind of taxi, but we didn't bother).
We had an issue with the A/C being too cold and the ceiling fan wasn't working (which would have been our preferred alternative). These could not be fixed during our stay and so they provided an extra blanket. I'm sure this was just an issue with our room and not a widespread problem here.

The hotel is conveniently located with respect to the station and beaches. We had a room with nice view on the sea, but this is uncommon for the hotel location. Breakfast was good but quite ordinary. The room was smaller than we expected and sufficient for short stay.
The design of this particular double room was quite peculiar. A step in the middle of a bathroom is inconvenient, A shower is high with respect to floor and inconvenient to get out. There is a shelf in a room with a TV at the head's height one needs always to be aware of in order not to injure themselves.

This hotel has a great location at the farthest end away from the main square. So, if you want quiet at night when others are still hooting it up, you'll be very happy here. The staff were wonderful and the room was perfect!
The walls were a bit thin; you can hear someone peeing in the toilet in an adjacent room - as if they're in your bathroom! And, if you like buffet-style scrambled eggs as part of a continental breakfast (I personally do not), then you won't find those nasty wet eggs here. ;-)

Hotel very central to all the activities - staff extremely helpful with information / advice / suggestions
Nothing unusual with this hotel - we struck the same issue most places we stayed We were on the road in Europe for 40 days living out of our suitcases hence we had a larger size suitcase each which there wasn’t enough space to open one at a time let alone both Any stacker type options available apart from getting a larger room ?

The staff is lovely! They provide all necessary information. Even they offer an umbrella for the free beach. The location is incredibly good. The beds are comfortable and the air conditioning is quite good. I spent six days in this hotel, I felt like at home. Grazie mille!
Wifi connection could be better. In the room, I had to use my internet connection. The breakfast is good overall but they can add some other cheese

Location was brilliant. Lady owner is an absolutely beautiful lady, very kind. Balcony area was beautiful in the morning with a coffee. Birds and family cat entertained the toddler. Fabulous bar and area to relax after a long day
No restaurant in the hotel. Only breakfast. Could do brilliantly. I needed food for a toddler and nowhere would cook a takeaway portion of food. So hotel food would be brilliant. Didn't like the smell of smoking in the halls, obviously people were smoking in their rooms. That's a personal pet hate. Language barrier between owners and myself..I have no Italian.

The wife and I loved our 5 night stay at Hotel Cinque Terre. The staff are incredible and work hard to ensure a wonderful stay. If you are thinking about visiting the Cinque Terre region, I would absolutely recommend Monterosso and this hotel... easy access to and from the train station and a perfect base to explore this beautiful area.

Loved the location near the train station as we had a lot of baggage with my daughter finishing three months of study abroad in Florence. The flat ground made it easy to get to the hotel. Our room was very clean, staff friendly and fun, food was fine with plenty of options. I loved the rattan furniture, the birds, the fountain, the flowers, and it has an elevator. It was crowded in Cinque Terre, and because this is in the newer part of Monterossa, it's not on every tourist's "must see" list, so we got a reprieve from massive amounts of visitors. You have to get up early and do things, or do them in the evening when the train and boating-in folks are gone. I loved the beach right by us. When it was time to leave for Milan, we were able to get a direct Intercity train to Milan, so there was no changing trains with all the baggage. I would definitely stay here again even without the baggage. I'm usually a carry-on only traveler. I loved the hotel and Cinque Terre.
Really, just wish there weren't as many tourists. One day, we were in Vernazza and it was packed so we went back the next morning at 9 and had it all to ourselves. As to the hotel, there wasn't anything we didn't like.

Good location with ample parking available. Monterosso is the easiest of the Cinque Terre towns to reach by car.The staff were very friendly and helpful. The accommodations quire comfortable.
While the breakfast included is very convenient and good, a bit more variety would have been appreciated. Also the selection was greatly reduced if you came during the last half hour.
