The room was clean, stylish and cozy. The bed was comfy, as were the pillows. Daily cleaning was provided. Lots of helpful & unexpected amenities like shower gel and soap, tea, kettle, fridge, mineral water. Great location within walking distance to all major sites. Safe district. Super helpful and responsive host Ovidio. Supermarket in front of the entrance (helpful for a quick snack). I wasn't expecting a lot, but the place looks lovely (pictures don't do the justice) and I really enjoyed my stay there - much better than any hotels I've seen on Booking.com.

NOT a complaint - just advice: it takes 1-2 minutes for hot water to reach the shower, just be patient.

The location of Maison de Marta was handy for the Vatican, Pantheum , Trevi fountain, Spanish steps and buses going everywhere else including the airport. The area felt safe. The place is old but clean and comfortable. The lift was an old fashioned cage and it was like going back in time. Ovidio was so thoughful and kind. He explained where to go and what to see and how to get there on a map and provided a kettle and iron when I asked and even included coffee and sugar and an assortment of teas . My room was small but functional and I would have no hesitation staying there again or recommending to others.

The place was very easy to find and there is lots of transport around. I would suggest using FREENOW if you would like to book a taxi and it’s cheaper than getting a taxi on road. Also depending on where you are it comes in minutes of booking. There is also buses that can take you to most famous tourist attractions like Spanish steps, fountain trevi, colosseum. There is also a few metro lines and termini station which can take you to other parts of Italy. When we got to the venue, the staff was very welcoming, gave us a map and explained how we could get into town and offered to help us plan our day. Showed us around and how to use the things in our room. Was always available by reception or by phone.

The shower was warm and sometimes you have to run it a bit before it gets hot. Once it’s hot it’s good to go.

The room was clean, big, quiet and there's an AC you can control yourself. The bed was comfy and, with the crazy heat outside, I really appreciated the big water bottle upon arrival! The staff were genuinely sincere and helpful, the check-in and communication was very smooth. The location is excellent - within walking distance to all the major attractions. Plus, I travelled alone and felt very safe in the area (which is really nice, more residential and less touristy yet has all what you might need - good places to eat, supermarkets, shopping streets etc).

Our host was very very nice and helpful and the room was cleaned every day. Maison de Marta is located in a very good area, we had everything so close. If we go to Rome againt, for sure we would stay here. Thanks.

It would be cosy to have a kettle in the room with morning tea or coffee but it was not a bad experience at all, given that there are some coffee shops with breakfast options in the area.

It was an old building, so whenever someone closes a door, you hear everything so if you are a light sleeper, might be a bit tricky. Also the plugs were old, it was difficult to keep my converter connected without it falling. Other than that, all was good!

-location in walking distance from everything you want to see, but if you don't want to walk, bus station right next to hotel. Nice restaurants close to hotel. -shuttle for Fiumicino airport stops right next to hotel -the room was clean -the best this hotel offers is the staff, especially Ovidio who is exceptional in his hospitality. He showed us the map of Rome and explained how to do the sightseeing so it was super easy. I appreciated that our room had an extra bed. Also he took care that we reach the airport on time, even though we never asked for help. I wish everyone in every hotel I visit is like him, traveling would be much nicer

We booked here for four nights and were very happy with our stay. The location of the guesthouse was second to none with easy walking access to virtually all the places we wished to visit and the ones further away were easy to get to using the nearby metro. A real bonus is the shuttle bus for the airport stop just round the corner so couldn’t be more convenient for returning to airport to fly home.Our room had a full length opening window looking out onto the street and the piazza just round the corner was a lovely place to sit and enjoy the sounds of Rome. overall we would highly recommend and found the owner, Ovidio to be very helpful and a lovely host. In general the owners went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable and comfy as possible. If we return to Rome we certainly would book here again.

We were not too impressed with the cafe we went to each morning for breakfast , with ticket from Marta guest house but this was not the properties fault…. and was not a deal breaker for us, would return again.

The location is excellent, Ovidio is a great entrepreneur who helped me during my stay while providing city map, necessary details. It was good to realize that complimentary breakfast is included. Everything was pretty good. Thank you for welcoming me during my stay. If you are looking for a budget friendly option, this is the great choice :)

Perfect location for seeing all the main sites. We walked everywhere from the hotel, including the Colosseum. The guy at reception was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are not fancy but they are nice, cleaned every day, strong shower. Someone else said the wifi was not available in the room, but I had good reception and the wifi was fast. I really liked the old style building with the antiquated elevator. There's a supermarket across the street, which is handy. I highly recommend Marta Guesthouse.

My only criticism would be that the old style windows let in a lot of noise from the street. I always travel with earplugs though, so it wasn't an issue for me.
