Situated in a perfect spot, minutes from centre, transport, etc. Room was very comfortable and all staff friendly and helpful. Enjoyable cocktails on the roof terrace and a great choice within buffet breakfast to start the day.

Large comfy room with good size balcony looking over the pool. Breakfast choice was excellant. Both pools were lovely although not big but great for a cool dip. Muhu bar on roof was fantastic. Friendly professional staff. Location is spot on for restaurants, bars, train station and harbour. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

Bathroom was large but shower cubicle was extremely small and a struggle for an average size person to use. Lots of wasted space in bathroom to expand shower. Pool towels all stored in 5th floor bar and had to be signed for and returned there. Pools are on 1st and 6th floors so quite a trek. Both room door and bathroom door had expanded and it was a struggle to open. Came back after a day out to find cleaner had left our room door open due to this issue. Luckily no on else had entered. The door to the pool on 1st floor kept slamming and very annoying when your room is directly above. Maybe have it propped open during the day.

The hotel was lovely from our arrival to our departure. Every staff member that we encountered was fantastic with the exception of Francesco in the dining room who was double fantastic.

We absolutely loved staying in Hotel Michelangelo for our short break visiting Sorrento and Positano. The hotel exceeded our expectations in so many ways, especially the room was absolutely wonderful. It was recently renovated and so beautiful and comfortable. The location of the hotel is superb; the main train station is only around the corner 3min walk away and there was a bus direct from the Naples airport to the train station and back. All main Sorrento streets are a few minutes away, a small supermarket too and can a wonderful pizzaria Da Franco is nexdoors. The hotel breakfast was plentiful and if only the weather had been a bit warmer, there would have been three different pools in the hotel to choose from.

We can not fault the hotel on any way.

We loved how central it was to the main town where resturants and shops were. Super close to the train station and about. 10-15 min walk to the beach/port. Boat trips to Capri, Positano and Amalfi were easily accessible. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Evening turn down service was greatly appreciated and a very nice touch. Beautiful hotel and lovely views from the rooftop pool/bar. The sky bar at night was so relaxing and always had some live music playing, cocktails were so tasty and the ambience/atmosphere was spot on. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family and would definitely come back! 😀

We really enjoyed are our stay here. ALL the staff were very welcoming and friendly. We found the rooms and hotel very clean. Excellent Location - 2 min walk to the bus/train station, 6 minute walk to the main centre and 15 minute walk to the ferry There was a great selection at the buffet breakfast - something for everyone. We had lunch on level 5 - massive portions and great prices unfortunately we didn't have enough time to try their dinner menu! We were concerned about the train station outside our balcony but we didn't hear it the whole time we were there - so don't let that put you off :-) If I'm ever back in Italy I will be staying here again!

The hotel is ideally located just an easy, short stroll from the Main Street. Breakfast was great. Staff were wonderful, in particular those at breakfast. Always with a warm smile. The pool was nice…

From the images, some rooms were a lot more modern than others. We had an older style room which was fine but we had hoped for a more modern room. Our balcony view was overlooking the railway line. Surprisingly though it didn’t bother us at all in terms of noise. The shower head was quite poor and needs a deep clean or upgraded. Water sprayed out different angles. However I’m sure if we had of asked it would have been fixed. The poor is lovely but the opening hours are short - 10am to 6pm. After a long day exploring it would be great to be able to cool off in the pool. These are relatively minor complaints and we had a great stay.

Hotel Michelangelo was a fantastic place to stay in Sorrento. The staff was very helpful, the breakfast was plentiful, fresh and a great start to our days. A short walk down the street is a bustling square with great shopping, restaurants and people watching. We relaxed in the pool which was so lovely given we were there during a heat wave. The rooftop bar/restaurant served delicious food and drinks and was delightful in the late evening to unwind after a busy day of sightseeing. It was a short drive to see Positano and Amalfi and a plus to not have to navigate hills and stairs all day at our hotel. I highly recommend Sorrento and especially Hotel Michelangelo.

We asked to have the bed separate into two twin beds which was not done.

The location was perfect for mooching around lovely Sorrento. Close to train station and buses for exploring further afield. We stayed for 5 nights which was plenty of time. Visited Amalfi by ferry, Positano by bus and Pompei by train. The hotel was great. Wonderful breakfast. Very friendly attentive staff.

Downstairs inside bar not always open as roof top bar open instead but it was a bit too chilly in the evenings for us to sit outside. Our kettle plug didn't fit socket properly so we had to hold it in place to boil the kettle. A bit stingy on re stocking tea/coffee making supplies in the room.

The location of the hotel was very good for us as train travelers, may be 7-8min on foot from the train station in Sorrento it was also not far from the city centre, may be 10min walk, easy we had a double-room with a balcony, looking over the pool, therefore we had a nice view and it was also rather quiet, we only heard the train from time to time value for money was pretty decent as we only paid 126 EUR including the city tax (incl. breakfast, 2 pax) the room was also spacious friendly staff at breakfast, it was no problem to order a Cappuchino or Espresso or tea which they served to your table (no extra charge)

the hotel is a bit worn down, everything seemed to be a bit old, not quite up to the standard for a 4* hotel in the bathroom the shower was really small, just enough for 1 person and the shower head also quite old & small the breakfast had a lot of different choices but the quality we found wasn't all that great, particularly the available drinks were not good at all (juice was whether fresh nor tasted accordingly just colored & sugared water), the coffee from the self-service area / machine was not drinkable (only the one you had to order extra - it was included though)
