Very close to the Station Venice Santa Lucia, 5min walk without bags 10min with bags ( stairs & 1.5 bridges) Reception is in a different hotel still very close And clear directions were given. Vaporetto line 2 will get you home, and it's up the Grand Canal. Tip: Get a Vaporetto/water bus pass for the duration of your stay. 1 3 5 7 days can be bought at the tourist information at the train station. Water taxi to the Mecure hotel (it's on the opposite side of the canal). Breakfast options: x2 in the little plaza 2 doors down. Opening at 7.30 closes 21.00/22.00. There are many if you wander further. Approl Spritz at sunset with a little snack, sweet or savoury. Remember, anytime is gelati time! Cicchetti bars: Don't waste money on a tour unless you are time poor. See something you might like - stand at the bar - pay/eat/go. The same applies to having a coffee or spritz.

Nothing it was heaven. But for light sleepers - be warned the bell will wake you up at 7am. And the delivery boats start earlier. It's the charm of being in Venice

The location is only a 100m or so from the grand canal and very near the bus depot and railway station, I was able to come out the front door and take in the vibes of Venice.

The hotel does not have a sign up or a reception. An A4 notice on the door has the telephone number and address of a nearby hotel where I needed to check in, Then I was given the door code and room key location. That said the rooms are superb and the location is excellent.

We had to check-in at another property to get our keys. The other hotel was around a 10 minute walk which doesn’t sound much but in the heat with heavy suitcases and two children - it was inconvenient.

We wanted to be located near to the Tronchetto as we were travelling on a transfer bus to a cruise ship so the location was perfect. It was a short walk to the people mover. We walked around Venice which wasn't a long walk. The room was beautiful, very spacious and clean no complaints.

The check in was at a sister hotel which was a ten minute walk away. The outside appearance was not the best when we arrived. It was self entry via a given code on check in and collection of key as reception in hotel closed so not a real problem

Conveniently located close to the station. The room we stayed in was a lot more spacious than typical for Venice, and it was clean and decorated in a what feels like a "venetian style". Even though from outside it looks run down and desolate, inside it's a typical classic hotel. The wifi worked well.

I didnt like the fact that they state that reception is temporarily moved to Hotel degli Artisti due to low season, but reading reviews one can easily see that's what they're doing at least for a year even during high season.

Really lovely authentic Venetian hotel, beautiful rooftop terrace! The location was excellent super close to train and bus station but also 2 mins off grand canal. The little restaurant “barcollo” was fab food and excellent value! However the beautiful young lady on reception was the star of the show for me! I had hurt my ankle and had really struggled with my luggage to get over a big bridge to check in at agli artiste the sister hotel a few minutes away, when I had to go back I was in pain and close to tears, this darling girl ran after me and insisted on getting my case back over the bridge for me! Her kindness changed the whole mood of how I was feeling especially being alone on holiday and feeling a bit vulnerable she was an absolute credit to the hotel! I cannot thank her enough!

Nothing too not like! Only down bit was Air con couldn’t be used until 16th May which is fair enough, it was a very budget price hotal after all!!! Photos show each way view from outside hotel front door

The accomodation was great: location close to the station, with nice restaurants/cafes close by, but still in a quiet area. I had a view over the canal with some gondolas passing by from time to time ❤ The room itself was big and comfortable, same goes for bathroom. The quality for the price was really great! Staff at the reception of the hotel where you need to check-in (just round the corner from the train station) was very helpful and friendly. Oh, and the terrace at the top of the building! Really amazing. I would definitely stay at the same place again!

I didn't find anything to dislike.

Check in was easy, and the bag drop off area was very convenient. The ladies at the desk were very helpful with directions and information. The apartment itself was SO beautiful and very comfortable!! A bonus was that we were on the highest floor and not many people went all the way to the upstairs patio. It felt like we had a penthouse suite to ourselves! The location was very convenient and nearby plenty of good shops and restaurants.

The bag drop off area made us a bit nervous, but thankfully everything worked out well! I could tell we were not the only ones nervous about the arrangement, but thankfully the front desk ladies seem to be vigilant.

The location was excellent, and the room was newly renovated and had a view of the canal. It was a 7 minute walk from Piazza Roma where the Rental Car place and bus station was nearby. Being a short walk to Piazza Roma is good because you see everyone carrying roller-bags around Venice (the city is only walkable or boatable - no taxis) so being close to the bus/rental car/train station is a shorter walk compared to places further away. Water taxis are expensive.

The hotel was hard to find. The Google maps put us in the vicinity but there was no hotel sign. You have to look for the building number (202) above the door which looked like a random building - but not a hotel. Also, the check-in process was confusing, as there are no people at the hotel location. You need to check-in at a nearby hotel (5 min walk) to get the room key; however, they explained this in an email which I forgot (my fault). If you are carrying your bags it was frustrating to go back and forth to the check-in hotel and the final hotel over bridges etc.

The hotel was very close to the bus station, which is convenient if you are leaving Venice by bus. It's within walking distance of the train station as well. It is also reasonably close to the public boat stations corresponding to the bus and train stations, so catching a boat to explore the town is pretty easy.

The reception was in another hotel, which was weird. It would have been nice if they had kept some snacks or some water in the room.
