We arrived earlier than the checkin hour ( around 11:30-12) and the person at the reception checked us in anyway which was great because we were traveling with a lot of luggage and a 2 year old baby. The lady taking care of the place was super helpful and very nice! She received us while the final touches were made to the room and served us some water and an orange for our son! she also gave us very good information on things to do in Venice and where to go. The room was very big and very very clean! and was exactly like the photos! The room was modern and everything looked absolutely brand new! The bed was comfortable! the walk in shower was amazing! We stayed in the Deluxe room which is at another location(very very near) which turned out to be great because it was in a very quiet area and also super close to main point of interest. the breakfast was served in the room and it was amazing and was more than sufficient for us!!

The location was superb with easy access to the center of Venice. The hotel was exactly as advertised, old school splendor which felt fitting when staying in Venice. Breakfast was adequate, there could have been a bit of a wider selection but it was sufficient, but that's why I gave a slightly lower score for facilities. The standout for us was the friendly and welcoming atmosphere created by the staff they were excellent and it really doesn't make a difference to feel welcomed. I would highly recommend this hotel and stay there again next time I am in Venice.

Breakfast as per my previous comments but it was fine.

Very convenient city centre location. Good size room beautifully decorated. Nice bathroom with plenty of hot water for shower. Lovely breakfast with fresh fruit and pastries. Freshly cut watermelon was a welcome surprise from Lia, our friendly, attentive host. David also gave suggestions for restaurants and made us a reservation at Ristorante San Marco which was great. We were leaving before breakfast but Lia again left a tray of breakfast things on our bed so we could make our own.

No tea / coffee making facilities in room!

This little gem is so nice and oldie world. The decor was really nice. The rooms where very grand. It was very easy to find and a 2 minute walk from the water taxi at San samuele. The staff was really nice and pleasant. The breakfast in the morning was really nice. Leah was very attentive to everyone. Nothing was too much trouble for her. I took the wrong travel plug for my phone. Leah helped me out with one until I could get my own. She asked if we needed any information on Venice. She was really helpful. I would definitely stay here again !

The room was beautifully decorated with classic pieces of furniture and the staff were so lovely and welcoming. My daughter loved the lady that did the breakfast service - she was so warm and friendly! It’s a shame we couldn’t get her name.

The place is just a 3/4 minute walk from the San Angelo station but our flight was early in the morning and we discovered that there’s no transport from here. So if you have early morning or late evening flights, go to Rialto for connections to the airport.

The staff were so thoughtful it was my 60th birthday and I came back to our room where they had sprinkled red petals al over the bed and put a note in a heart shaped space wishing me a happy 60th birthday along with a beautiful bottle of Prosecco in an ice bucket on a beautiful silver tray with more red petals. Truly outstanding staff especially Leah who was absolutely amazing she really made our holiday so special. I can’t thank her enough. So kind and considerate. The breakfasts were delicious incredibly fresh croissants and deli meats and cheese. We were a 7 minute walk from San Marco square but it was quiet and peaceful good for families.

Nothing

Room was good. We booked a double room, but found it too small for 2. Yet we managed it. The air conditioning in the room was great, except for the last night. Overall the stay was great, I will stay there again, but in a bigger room.

No kettle for tea in a double room. The air conditioning did not work on the last night. It was like our money had run out. Sleepless night before we left, was not in good taste. Breakfast could do with some variety, like scrambled eggs sometimes. Baked beans other times . Brochures about the city for guest to pick up would have been brilliant.

The bed was very comfy, with hard mattress, just the way I like it. All the furnishings, in the room as well as in the entirety of the hotel in general, was very beautiful, elegant and stylish, with the charm of old Venice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, despite the limited selection. The entire atmosphere was very cozy and familial - not like in a generic, big hotel, but more like in a family home.

There were some mosquitos that made our nights difficult, although of course that's not the hotel's fault. Just watch out for the little beasts. The hair dryer in our room was defective, but once I reported it, we immediately got a replacement, so that's OK too. There is a bathtub, which is good, but 1.) on one side, it's bottom felt weak, as if it might rupture if stepped on too heavily and 2.) there was no shower curtain, so showering always made the bathroom's floor very wet, however careful we were.

Wonderfully quiet and peaceful - excellent sound insulation. Lovely bathroom with powerful shower and bidet. Charming and professional family-run boutique hotel. Very hospitable and traditional Italian culture style. Super location - 100m from the boat stop, close enough to the main tourist area but hidden away from the hustle and bustle. Generously sized room with fantastically comfortable bed. Great sleep.

Very minor point (which should NOT detract from the overall highly positive experience and definite recommendation to visit): tea/coffee/kettle/water not available in the room. Some people might complain at the lack of 'hot' options at breakfast. Booking info. makes it clear that breakfast is continental only.... and it is a generous continental breakfast with everything you would want :)

Location was fantastic. Room was great. The room adjacent to our bedrooms was a fantastic room for all 5 of us to meet and socialise.

The only down side was the air conditioning in our room had a leak during our last night which woke me up at 1:30am and kept me awake a few hours trying to dry the bedding which was wet from the leak. The only other minor thing we found was the lounge room we used to have a gathering before and after going out had a timer on the lights which went out every 30 seconds to a few minutes. We tried using our room key cards but that didn’t work. Might be an idea to let people in rooms 7 & 8 have a key to keep the lights on in lounge.
