My original booking was at the Takimoto Inn (now known as Adex Inn) which is the smaller sister inn of the famous Takimotokan. Due to sudden renovations, we were allocated rooms at the much bigger and luxurious Takimotokan. I'd known about the praises surrounding the hotel, but I wasn't aware of the reasons why until now. It was fabulous. Wonderful onsen. Delicious buffet. Excellent location. Beautiful interior and facilities. First, the onsen. I've visited the hot spring facility before as I had stayed at Takimoto Inn in 2019. There are many different types of hot spring to soak and relax in. The most recommended one is the sulphur onsen, which is guaranteed to make your skin as smooth as silk. The outdoors bath is amazing too and even more so if it happens to snow. Second, the dinner buffet. At only 4,400 yen per person, it was definitely value for money. Unlimited crab legs, sashimi, and ikura (salmon roe). The wagyu beef was absoutely delicious and all the desserts were delectable. My most favourite dessert would be the yuzu ice-cream. The only drawback was that you had to pay for drinks, though water was available for free. Third, the room. It was beautiful and warm. The beds were comfortable and everything seemed to be designed for the convenience and comfort of the guests using it.

The breakfast buffet had very limited choices and was definitely not worth 2,200 per person. I wish they would serve kaisen-don (seafood rice) just like most traditional onsen hotels and offer more Western dishes, such as yogurt and cheese.

The access to the onsen was amazing, and the lobby/ Caffè was delightful. Beds were very comfy

Bathroom is very dated and tap was rusty but we just used the onsen instead.

The hotel is located in the middle of Noboribetsu Onsen, in front of the Dai-ichi Takimotokan ryokan. It was unfortunately pouring rain the day I arrived in the late morning, but I stayed in the Adex Inn café to do some work and they have a nice choice of snacks and drinks (it's also great for a light breakfast). When I could check in (it's a self check in but it's pretty easy to do so), I had access to the onsen facilities at the Dai-ichi Takimotokan which are absolutely incredible. The room was quite big, clean, comfortable and bright. It was western-style as well. They also have a sento inside the Adex Inn hotel but I didn't use it because I spent plenty of time in the onsens. It was a very nice place to stay at!

The wi-fi connection was a bit unstable at times, so if you can, it might be better to use the tethering.

This hotel is amazing. Fantastic facilities. The bed was really comfortable. There are lots of little touches and an amazing bathroom. It's right in town and the sister hotel to the huge luxurious one across the road, so as guests here, you could visit the Grand Bath there for free as often as you liked. Easy to walk everywhere. The room I had was really quiet. There is a great cafe on the ground floor. They make a really good ham and lettuce roll. The best is freshly baked and nice and crunchy. Unfortunately, the bakery section is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, so no baked goods. This hotel also had its own onsen. I tried it out. Same water as that across the road. Relaxing and a pleasant temperature. Great washing facilities with quality products. I recommend trying this onsen as well as the Grand Bath.

Great location in the heart of Noboribetsu Onsen town. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the check-in process was easy. There is a delicious pastry restaurant on the first floor. The hotel is conveniently located between two bus stops and is just a 10-minute walk to the main bus station. The bedroom was very clean, equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay, including a mini fridge in the room. Totally recommended, and we will definitely be back!

Nothing.

It is very near to Hell’s Valley, about 5 mins walk away. I love the fact that we can use the onsen opposite adex inn at Dai-ichi Takimotokan. The onsen at takimotokan is huge with many different kinds of onsen, overlooking Hell’s Valley. I like the lobby at Adex inn with a cafe/bar, looks like they just renovated it, very modern and comfy. Food choices can be limited at night but it is conveniently located along the shopping street with convenience stores available. Buses are available too.

The bathroom is a bit dated and old, some mould seen. But it was ok as I showered at the onsen area instead.

The location was very good (close to nearby attractions) and access to the onsen at the hotel across the road was definitely a huge plus. The hotel lobby was very nice and modern but the rooms are slightly dated (this wasn't too much of an issue, was kind of charming). Overall, it was a decent place to stay.

The bathroom was mouldy around the edges of the sinks and also the steelware was rusty, as was mentioned by other reviewers, but we simply used the onsen showers so this wasn't too big of an issue. The duvet was a bit thin.

Our room was better than expected, I think it was recently refurbished. The beds were comfortable and the location is excellent. We were also given access to the Grand Baths across the road.

It's a little noisy when people are coming and going but was quiet at night. The WiFi isn't great so trying to stream was an issue. And the coffee cups didn't have handles so not great for a hot drink. All minor issues.

The access to the Daiichi Takimotokan baths across the street until late at night and early in the morning was amazing, the highlight of my trip to Hokkaido. Location is also perfect for experiencing the Jigoku-matsuri and the Jigoku-dani itself. The hotel itself is easy to use and clean. Check in is by machine but staff were there to answer any questions.

Nothing in particular. Wish i had stayed longer.

While the inn has its own onsen, guests of the inn can use the awesome onsen facilities of Dai-ichi Takimotokan Hotel just opposite the street with the room card. The inn is clean, comfortable and the cafe at the lobby has great coffee and sandwiches at affordable price. Check in and check out via machines is a breeze, although the friendly cafe staff is there to help if needed. Hell Valley is within walking distance; and trail heads to various scenic spots start nearby too. The view from the 7th floor room is fantastic. Woke up to blue skies and green mountains.

The bathroom is very compact. But didnt bother us much as we used the onsen opposite for bath.
