The location and charm of this hotel is why we returned. Rooms are very small and because we booked at the last minute over new year, don't want to pay a premium price we took the small room. Only just enough room for our one suitcase and two small hand carry bags, no robe, hooks on wall only to hang clothes and very little floor space. Window looked straight at a wall. Temperature was comfortable, everything clean but this room more suitable for a single traveller. Lovely hallway decor and friendly staff.

Very disappointing that no breakfast was available at the hotel due to new year holiday. The dining area was totally closed for the holiday period, not ideal for a hotel. The staff also had trouble booking us a hotel to airport although we booked an uber easily with no trouble.

Location was great. About 10-15 min walk to the main Entry to Shibuya, close to the Shibuya crossing, however along the way we noticed other entry points. Hotel was in a cute alley. A few bars, restaurants and other hotels. Walking through it led to other cute alleys and to a main road. It ws fantastic. Close to 7/11 and family mart. Close to a few big shopping stores. Loved the location. Room was bigger than the APA rooms. Still small, but it was okay for two people. We just used our room to shower and sleep (bed was comfortable) They leave complimentary water everyday and provide a clean robe. I read alot about bathroom having no privacy. They've fixed this up with blinds and a shower curtain. No issue there. I really enjoyed my stay and staff were friendly.

Great location with plenty of restaurants and shops and walking distance from shibuya scramble crossing and the station. The hotel had a cool vibe and the room was lovely. The shower area was fantastic. Staff were lovely too

The view from our room was a brick wall but it did mean it was quiet considering where it was

This hotel's location could not have been better, literally two minutes walk to the main road of Shibuya and 5 minutes to the Scramble. You would never know how close you are to the attractions as it just slightly around a curve in the main road so it's peaceful with 7/11 right next door. But as soon as you walk 2 minutes, Downtown Shibuya in all its glory!! I can't recommend this place enough if you're looking for affordable, no-frills accommodation

Rooms are very basic but still quite spacious for thi sprive point in Tokyo. Bathroom a little run-down but still functional and clean

located right up the street from shibuya crossing/station. down the street from a few clubs. noise wasn't bad at all,. restaurants located near by. convenience stores close by. walkable distances from main attractions. beds were wide and comfortable. first bidet I've experienced with an oscillating cleaning head. AC/Heater was nice and steady with keeping our room nice and cozy. quite spacious area where we could lay out our luggage. staff was nice and accompanying. provided us with a scale to help prevent overweigh luggage. allowed us to leave our luggage in lobby until our flight, huge plus. gave a bottle of water a day which was nice

Shibuya Hotel En is the perfect hotel for Tokyo and exploring the Shibuya neighborhood. It's a short walk from the train and surrounded by endless food. Although it's in a busy area, it's quiet at night so long as your window seals shut. The staff were very accomidating for our oversized luggage storage. I really enjoyed the quality of the complimentary coffee in the rooms as well.

Our first stay was perfect, though our second stay was also wonderful, there was an issue with our window sealing shut, I am confident they will fix this for future guests.

The hotel was a 5-minute walk to the scramble. Super clean and comfortable. Water and coffee were provided.

On a weekday the noise from the street was minimal. Come the weekend, there was a 'nightclub' style venue next door and you could hear the distant bass from the music. More notable were the patrons on the street. We were so exhausted from all of our sightseeing that this hardly kept us awake though.

(STAY 7 NIGHTS$2804 AUD); Rooms were larger than most in Japan, we had 2 double beds "comfort" room. crammed with 2 large suitcases alas, we managed to hide one in a corner and play hop scotch to get the window open. The other on the desk and chair. Few items in the closet on hangers and backpacks stashed in there too. Beds comfortable and big Location was great 10 minutes (unless you get lost) to the Shibuya station, Nightclubs a few doors down (heard nothing in the night, we were on the right hand side which faced away from majority of the clubs. Heaps of cafe's and restaurants, we barley touched the surface of all the places near us. Did not try the food within the hotel. Shibuya station is a little confusing at first due to the many entrances to different lines... research before going what lines you need. We used many JR lines, Shinkansen, JY and more... If you're looking for traditional Japanese touches, look elsewhere. Not one person was Japanese but all spoke great Japanese.

(STAY 2 NIGHTS $714 AUD); BEDS: pillows were disgusting texture, clumping all throughout and soft, I slept with mine folded in half. We stayed again at the end of the trip and it was regrettable, we were placed on level 5 in the same room layout, the room was dusty and crusty, the refrigerator was rumbling like it was planning for takeoff and we had to unplug it at night, luckily it was very cold at night so our goods in the fridge did not spoil. Was greatly unimpressed that from our last stay there was a significant drop in quality.

++ Location: Excellent location only a short walk from all the shops, restaurants, and tourist spots. + Public transportation: 10 minute walk to Shibuya station. + Thoughtful additions to room: The room had thoughtful additions such as shoe horns, toothbrush/toothpaste, an extra chair, a full desk, which added more comfort to the room.

- Noise from nightlife: If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs. Expect noise of nightlife to continue until 4-5 AM (especially during the weekend). If you like nightlife, this may be more of a pro for you.

The location was tremendous. Right in the heart of Shibuya but tucked away just enough to not be too crazy. It is on a back street with many restaurants and bars. Quite a fun night life area.

There is barely a lobby. No real reception, no seats, no bar, just a desk and we rang the bell each time to get staff to come and greet us. The staff was always friendly when they came out, but just an odd hands off approach. The room was nice but the beds lacked side tables. Come to think of it there was only one small table in the whole room.
