The location was great! Real close to the Senso-ji temple (literally can see it out the window in the living room on the 8F) and the Nakamise Shopping Street. In a pinch, you could go to the 7/11 about a block away. A lot of restaurants in the area. The bathrooms were very clean. Internet was very fast; didn't feel like it was slow by any means, especially with everyone there.

My friends and I stayed in the private room with 3 beds. For some reason, I could not figure out how to use the remote for the AC system. English is my primary language so it was difficult to understand each time I tried to translate it on Google Translate. It came with instructions but didn't understand what was displayed on the screen. As I kept pushing buttons, I got the AC unit to blow air.

The location is perfect. Asakusa is 2 minutes away from the hostel. The cleanliness was very good. The room was very comfy, and the bed was very comfortable. I slept very well. The view from the hotel's kitchen was nice. The kitchen was pretty big, and all utilities were available. The owner of the hostel is a friendly man. Staff member Mr. Miyasaki is hospitable and great to have conversations with.

There is no AC or fan in the elevator. It was always very hot, and it smelled like sweat. The toilet and bath are always clean, but they smell bad because men do not aim properly when urinating; urine is around the toilet, and the fan is not effective. It smells especially bad in the summer. The kitchen was very hot, and they always kept the AC at a very low temperature. When I was working during the day, I didn't feel comfortable. I talked to the staff about it, but they didn't do anything. Their washing machines and drying machines do not work properly. I don't recommend it to use it. I spent 1000 yen on them, my clothes were not in good condition. Never use it.

Excellent location.

Absolutely no flexibility from the staff. Leaving luggage there until 6pm on check out day would have resulted in 500¥ fee.

The locationof hostel is great! Approx 10mins from the city Asakusa Metro Station. Towels can be rented for extra fee. Enough and clean kitchen. Shampoo and bodywash were provided. Lockers are available for small backpack. Very nice and friendly staff. 😊

You can leave your luggage until 5pm only and additional charge thereafter.

When we booked the hotel it was rated a 7.7 and it has since jumped up to an 8.3, which leads me to believe that the rating fluctuates pretty regularly. We were skeptical of this accommodation because of the average to low rating, but were pleasantly surprised with how comfortable it was. The location was extremely convenient yet still quiet and comfortable despite being only a few minute walk to senso-ji, which attracts hundred of tourists daily. The ac was nice and cool for the september months, and the volunteers at the hostel were very helpful. The receptionist helped us check in even despite us arriving past check-in time, albeit only by 10 minutes. Tenten exceeded every expectation I had and, for the location and comfort it provides, it is an absolute steal.

The rooms were a bit small, but that's to be expected. The shared bathrooms could also have done with more frequent cleanings throughout the day. Having one unisex bathroom is a bit strange and something I may have had more of a problem with if we hadn't stayed here during the off season and the bathrooms had seen more use and been busier.

Amazing location being literally at the backdoor of Sensoji. Short walk away from Sumida Park. Several konbinis nearby. Very lively neighborhood esp being so close to Sensoji. Ground floor common space is shared area with a private eatery. Top floor common space is spacious with a very good shared kitchen. Stairs connecting each floor is a good hang out space. Many washing machines and dryers. Medium room size with spacious capsules. Big lockers provided. Plenty of showers and toilets.

Far from station about 10 min walk from Asakusa Station. Hostel room gets pretty musty, must open windows for fresh air. Thin mattress and capsule curtains have huge gaps but thick comforters. Towels not provided.

I liked the location. It was in Tokyo but not a very busy part of Tokyo. It's in close proximity to the Skytree and the Temple (forgot the name of it). It's also near a lot of shops. I went to Uniqlo probably 4 or 5 times while I was here. Oh yeah, I also liked the living room area on the 8th floor. Good place to chat with people, eat food or work on your laptop. The 8th floor has an amazing view. You can doze off up there too and no one will bother you. Good location. I might stay here again one day.

I booked this place twice. One for my first week and then again for my last couple of days in Japan. The room I had the first week only had like 2 or 3 other people. The room I got the second time had a bunch of people in it and it smelled like feet. They did say I could change my room for 700 yen but I just stuck it out. I also didn't like having my suitcase out in the open. I think next time I'll book a private room so I can leave my stuff laying around and not have to worry about locking it up.

- brilliant location, can’t recommend Asakusa enough - nice clear rules and instructions for everything - option to have food there - kitchen and lobby area - good showers - everything was clean -comfy beds - shampoo, conditioner, shower gel provided - helpful, friendly staff - curtains to close on bunk beds and light doesn’t keep you up - I felt so so safe walking around at all times

- others waking you up in the night moving around in their beds. You’re better off in a top bunk else you’ll hear all movements from the person above. People come back late and mess about with their suitcases which is annoying. Make sure you have your earplugs - we had a few instances where people had their shoes on our storage box and people had their rucksacks on the floor. Suitcases don’t fit in the luggage boxes so lots were balanced on top. Just annoying that people can’t be considerate of others!

Very clean and organized, the hostel is simple but has all you need and the room was more spacious then expected (Tokyo is known for very small rooms so I set my expectations very low), they provide some basic shelfs in the room so you get to keep your belongings nicely organized, also a small desk and stools, handy. We got the private room with a bunkbed. My husband height is 6.1, and the bed was not too short for him! The location and view from the top floor lounge area are the best things they have, beautiful sunrise and sunset with astonishing view to the senso-ji temple! You will fine anything you want on that area, I really recommend staying on Asakusa! Oh, they also offer coin laundry, affordable and good!

Facilities are on simple side, not that I didn't like it, it was fine, but very simple. I didn't like the mattress, too hard for me, but it is normal in Japan.

I really like location of this guesthouse. Even though it’s in Tokio neighborhood is quiet and most importantly close to Sensoji temple (you can even see pagoda through window in the kitchen). Room and bathroom was clean. Wi-fi works perfectly. Very nice kitchen on the last floor.
