This hotel is ideally located just across the street from the UN Compound, and right next to a 24/7 grocery store and a delicious Lebanese restaurant, which makes its location ideal for those who are on mission to the UN in Nairobi. The hotel itself is very clean, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom has hot water, and and the staff are really helpful. It’s a practical place with a great value for money!

The rooms don’t have ACs but the hotel provides a standing fan that does the job perfectly. The breakfast had limited choices but is good if you just want a quick coffee and a small bite. Anyway there’s a coffee shop right next to the hotel if needed.

Perfect location for travellers who would have meetings at the Gigiri UN compounds. There are some places to eat nearby; even the hospital. You can go to village market for more options. All your needs could be found within walking distance.

There are a lot of construction works on the main road. It is dusty, bring your masker!

If you need to be near the UN, the Gigiri Express Hotel is ideal — just 5 or 10 minutes’ walk from the UN front gate. Run by cheerful, helpful and pleasant young Kenyans, it is simple and straightforward and does exactly what it says on the tin. The wifi is excellent — very important for people who are in Nairobi to work.

It would be nice to have a bedside light. Next time, I’ll bring an extension cord so that I can put the table-lamp beside the bed 😊

The location is great especially if you have business in and around the United Nations Complex in Gigiri. The Rooms are spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed. The room is supplied with adequate drinking water and tea / coffe making service.

The breakfast is not good. And the breakfast area is not cleaned as clients exit. But the compensation is the hotel shares a wall with a small shopping center with a grocery store and a food court where you can buy food of choice.

Breakfast was the minimum item, but one can choose it. If someone stays embassy work or UN office, then it is the nearest and cheapest stay. The room was clean and had no toiletries ( Only soap and handwash).

There was no shampoo and toothpaste in the bathroom.

The hotel staff are friendly and courteous. Its like home away from home. They do their best to accommodate the needs of every guest. I always have a good stay here. There are an array of restaurants, grocery stores, the mall and other essential facilities nearby. The neighbourhood is safe and everything is in walking distance. Whenever you visit Gigiri and wish to stay in an affordable, comfy boutique hotel...this is your place. Just prepare to walk the stairs because there are no elevators.☺️

Good break fast. However, because the hotel receives several guests from different parts of the world with different cultures and food requirements. Based on that, if it is possible the hotel should provide all types of food.
