On the beach, good views of Carlisle bay, ample of beds both on the beach and by pool side, choice of two pools and kids pool

On arrival, they had difficulty in finding our booking, no one helped or offered to take luggage to our room. Shame for 5 star. No welcome drink. WC flush not working but was fixed on reporting. They should check all facilities before room allocation. Room clean- towels not replaced and had to ask. Even toilet roll not kept on last day. Could do with new beach towels . Regrettably not a 5 star service at hiked price

Location was great, with great accessibilty as was the beach. Staff were friendly especially at reception and breakfast. We were relocated on Day 2 to an incredible beach/pool view on the southern block. Breakfast was excellent as were the sunset cocktails. Free Turtle snorkelling outside the hotel grounds, horses at 6am and some really nice food stalls (outside the hotel) Cuz’s Marlin sandwiches, next to the beach cocktail van (The Happy Hour Spot) and Lobster Alive Sunday lunch with love music on the beach, 15mins walk north, were highlights.

We’ll put it down to Covid and restrictions, but the pool side staff could be more cheerful and attentive. Don’t accept a north facing room over the carpark and service area - that's not why you book a Caribbean trip or on an anniversary.

Stunning views from room. Very clean, some staff very friendly and helpful. When we had a problem with our room key, the deputy manager and maintenance manager were amazing. Private beach was fantastic, maintenance incredible. Food was delicious. Very comfy beds.

No hot tub all week as it was closed. The lifts were very slow, half of them didn't work and were out of action. The pool side bar staff weren't very friendly or helpful. Everything was quite overpriced compared to other places.

We were stuck there during Hurricane Beryl and the property took excellent care to ensure we were safe and informed. The location is excellent - right on the beach and all the food we had tasted very good.

They did not have too many vegetarian options. Many times, the only veg choice was a salad and/or fries. Additionally, during the hurricane, we were provided the same set of dishes for around 3 meals in a row. This is understandable since they were short staffed, but it would have been nice if they had lowered the prices of the meals since we couldn't go anywhere outside either.

I was last at this in 1990. It was okay back then but kind of dreary. Fast forward to 2024 and i was awe struck on arriving to the hotel. It had a happy colour and feeling about it just frombthe exterior view. Was met at reception by a cordial team and checkibg in took mere minutes. On arriving at my room, i was amazed at the airiness and openess of the room with a beautiful view of the ocean. From the casual atmosphere of the pool to fine dining in the restaurants, I was forever impressed. Already making plans to return with my family next year.

A good hotel. Reasonable size room with comfy bed. Nice view from the balcony (premium king size room with ocean view). Good location short drive from various restaurants and Bridgetown center. Old fort and lighthouse on-site - sightseen can be done from the balcony of the room. Early check in, thanks to Natasha, and late checkout are much appreciated.

The pool area requires some maintenance and upgrading. Sunbeds were not particularly comfortable. The beach is not swimmable due to high swell.

The staff were very nice. The location of the resort is very good and the resort opens up to a nice spot on the beach. Lovely watching sunsets from there. At first we thought the prices were expensive but when compared with the rest of Barbados, they are average so actually it was worth staying in the hotel to eat sometimes. You can tell the hotel was built a while ago, but it doesn't feel old as the rooms and facilities are very good. The pools were great for kids and really not crowded at all compared to other resorts around the world- no need to put your stuff down on sunbeds in the morning! We also walked up the beach to a good surfing spot and the kids had surfing lessons at Brandens surf break. We loved having lunch at the beachside restaurant, coffee shop and buffets for breakfast and the rum bar/restaurant for dinner. Also great to have evening entertainment on most nights (although not sure they do that in off-peak periods).

It was a lovely place for a holiday. The main activities in Barbados are beach/pool stuff so a week of that is probably enough

As a Hilton Honors member, we were upgraded to a room in the Fort Tower overlooking Fort Charles, Needhams Beach and the pools. This is the best position . The room was large, particularly the ensuite which had a bath and a very spacious shower. We had 2 excellent dinners in the Lighthouse Restaurant which were reasonably priced. We bought breakfast from the coffee shop and ate on our veranda overlooking the sea, much better than the US$38 breakfast on offer. We were given plenty of water, coffee and UHT milk by the women cleaning our room who were friendly and hard working. The location is excellent, just a 2km walk to the town centre, most of which was along the magnificent Peebles Beach. Reception granted us a later checkout (12:30pm), another Hilton Honors benefit. Btw, I’m from AUSTRALIA, not HongKong which Booking.com seems incapable of changing.

Nothing really. We loved our stay. Just an observation. The hotel was apparently built in 2003 but looks much older with the external stucco surface falling off in a number of areas. Our room was freshly painted and clean but the bathroom appeared a bit tired.
