Hotel Review: A Stunning Oasis in Vientiane We stayed at this hotel for two days upon our arrival in Vientiane, and it was truly amazing—highly recommended! We had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. First of all, we chose the airport pickup service, and it exceeded our expectations. Not only was the driver there to greet us, but a staff member from the reception was also present. They welcomed us with a traditional local treat and refreshing cold water. Despite the short drive, the staff member gave us an insightful introduction to the city, making the ride both enjoyable and informative. It was such a warm and thoughtful welcome that made us feel instantly at home. At the reception, the team was incredibly kind and accommodating. The check-in process was quick and efficient, and even though we arrived early, our room was already ready. The property itself is absolutely stunning—an oasis of peace and greenery right in the heart of the city. Our room was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and perfectly located. It was the ideal place to relax after exploring Vientiane. The breakfast was excellent, with great attention to detail and delicious options. We also dined at the hotel one evening, and the food was fantastic. The service was attentive and professional, ensuring a wonderful dining experience. Overall, we had an amazing stay. The combination of exceptional service, beautiful surroundings, and a serene atmosphere made it unforgettable. We highly, highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vientiane!

It is not close to downtown and they do not provide a shuttle, which actually was specified in the booking.com description

The room is old fashioned but very clean with all basic amenities like aircon, wifi, tv, fridge, electronic safe, bathrobes, etc. The pool is big and has depth over 7feet on one side. The user has to be careful about this. The stay is comfortable. The American style breakfast is good with not much of local dishes.

Upon check-in we found the bathroom was not cleaned properly. We have to call the staff repeatedly to clean the bathroom. Tea-coffee maker was there but no pouches of tea/coffee, sugar and milk powder was provided. However , those were provided upon request. There was mosquitos and insects in the room.

The hotel is in a great location, with beautiful rooms and grounds. The restaurant was so lovely with delicious food, especially the breakfast options and great coffee! The staff were amazing, very helpful for anything we needed included organising drivers and taxis, and anything we needed for the room etc. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved everything, but it would be great if there were a few more pool lounges in the sun, they were hard to get when people camped out there all day!

The moment you get picked up at the airport you feel welcomed. Then walking up the path to the reception is like a breath of fresh air. The workers are sweet and caring but not in your business. The food is wonderful. Breakfast, appetizers, dinners-meals are well prepared and tasty. The ladies are sweet and pleasant in the restaurant. The property and pool are well maintained. While staying at this property there was flooding everywhere in the city, along the river, and even areas such as Buddha Park. Even the Malls within a few minute walk were sandbagged to protect against the flooding. Our hotel took care of us and other guests as though outside upheavals didn't affect us. They set up train trips and taxis for us. We were so happy. We stayed another 4 days. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our time at Green Park Boutique Hotel. The rooms were wonderful. Chairs to sit in. A comfortable bed with quality sheets. Nice size rooms. We enjoyed the people. They cared about doing a good job. The breakfast and food is very good. The pool was cooling but not cold. We were served cold water and food while swimming. The location is better than we could have imagined. We highly recommend staying here.

Only because you asked...The shower is a big step into a bath tub. It is not a walk-in shower.

We booked for a special occasion: my daughter turned 10 and wanted to spend a night with 3 friends at the hotel. I booked and went there to discuss the possibilities and the management and staff have been super accommodating. On the check-in day I also invited the parents to stay for drinks at the bar/restaurant and they drinks have been very good indeed, the staff extremely well trained and kind, throughout the stay. Being a cocktail lover I was surprised, The hotel offered a Birthday cake to my child which we cut at the Restaurant. The breakfast is really good, you have buffet but also can order from a big menu, sweet and savoury, the cappuccino is excellent! The pool is beautiful and just beside is a stunning lotus pond. As we live in Vientiane we have all been pleasantly surprised by the tranquil atmosphere and the wooden architecture, our finding was: we feel like in Luang Prabang in the middle of Vientiane. Everything was good about the stay. We are grateful and will come back for the happy hour.

Wonderful staff who were always there to attend to our every single need. The hotel is situated away from the centre, but taxis are cheap. Although there is traffic outside, once inside the hotel it is perfectly quiet. Large pool in a lovely garden. Very good food for lunch and dinner.

There could have been a few more sunbeds by the pool. Breakfast was lovely with a lot to choose from, but the butter tasted rancid. Everything else was delicious, however.

GREEN PARK BOUTIQUE HOTEL A super find in Vientiane.  We loved it for its colonial feel, fabulous rooms, lovely pool area and friendly helpful staff.   Quiet location.   A walk to bars and restaurants but worth the walk to stay somewhere so lovely.    We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel.  It was charming in every way.   A special thank you to Mong who was fantastically patient, helpful and everything was done with a cheerful smile.  He was a star of the show.

The beauty of the hotel with simple teak and carefully selected art, but even better was the garden.we could sit on our verandah and look onto an ornamental pool with the scent of frangipani. The staff were so welcoming and attentive. Even if we stopped a short while in the lobby, someone appeared with glass of iced water. The breakfasts were the best we’ve had in 5 weeks of holiday.

The problem in Laos is that if you pay by credit card a 3% surcharge is added. In Vietnam, the hotels just waived it for us. The problem is the ATM only releases 3M of their currency at a time which is only about $150. So if one stays at a nice hotel, there would have to be many withdrawals, not convenient. I think that Laos Tourism should consider a policy of encouraging hotels to not be charging a surcharge.
