Excellent location - minutes away from the Dutch Square and Jonker Street. Walking distance to most tourist sites. It's a lovely building, simple, clean and the staff were very friendly, always smiling and extremely polite and helpful. Very comfortable bed.

Even though the rooms facing the inner courtyard were quiet, where you couldn't hear any of the outside noise from the busy restaurant and bar areas, if you're a light sleeper then be warned that the rooms are not really soundproofed. One morning I was woken up by what I believe to be someone cleaning the floors outside the rooms, around 6am or 7am!

The Ginger Flower's location is second to none. I was able to drop off my shopping and take a mid-day shower because it is so close to everything! The staff members are soooooooooooo adorable and friendly.

It's a historical building with minimal sound proof. Bring yourself a pair of ear plugs, protect your sleep from those fancy rickshaws blasting music to its maximum column. The booking.com price does not reflect the latest Maylasia SST increase from 6% to 8%. I was not aware of the additional cost required to settle upon check in.

Located in Jonker walk, very convenient to walk around and explore the whole Jonker street. We reached Jonker early and parked our car behind the hotel before exploring the place. Then we intended to inform the staff and went off, but they let us checked in early. Staff is very friendly and smile at us every time we came back to drop our shopping goods before going for another round. The room is pretty basic and very clean, sheets set is also very clean. Overall satisfied with the stay.

I would recommend having one more table in the room. There is one small table but it's full of items like water kettle, cups and utensils. We were there for one night so it was still manageable. Parking is only 2 slots behind the hotel, not sure if they have other parking spaces nearby. We were lucky to have the parking slot :D

I loved the location which is right in the centre and round the corner from Jonkers. The building and rooms are gorgeous and I had a deluxe room at the back with a little balcony and shuttered windows. I didn't have the breakfast option so can't comment on that but the staff and the welcome were really lovely and helpful.

Probably the road noise (and street singers) which are clearly audible until about 11:30pm. The road isn't that busy, but there's no sound proofing due to the age and style of the property. Glad I packed ear plugs!

Friendly Staff Clean Rooms Good Location

1. The label on the fridge states all drinks inside the fridge are complimentary so we consumed them. At checkout, staff says only water was free. In the end, I paid RM54. Please re-phrase your label. Very misleading. 2. The bigger rooms that I booked were on the 2nd floor. My group of senior ladies had a difficult time using the staircase, as there is no lift. The staff suggested we move to the smaller rooms on the 1st floor, which we did. 3. The location of the hotel was good, near Jonker Walk. However, walking from the hotel to the Jonker Walk using the front door was very dangerous. Vehicles were less than a foot away from us. Overall, Rooms were not discounted when we stayed in smaller rooms on the ground floor. We were charged drinks we thought were complimentary.

The location of the hotel is excellent, just next to the Melaka River and Jonker Street Night Market, easy to visit the prominent attractions. The bed is very comfortable and the room facilities excellent. On site staff is amazing, very friendly and helpful.

The room size is tight and has no space for luggage bags. If you like total darkness for sleep, you may not like some rooms here. Our room window lets light in from the space above the wooden shutters (about a foot gap from the top window sill to the shutters).

Incredibly atmospheric beautifully renovated boutique hotel in the heart of old town Melaka, you can walk to everything from here. Nearby superb dining and nightlife options. All the amenities of a 5 star room, mini bar, bath robes, slippers, luxury toiletries etc. My room was petite but very well serviced.

Whist the rooms are luxurious in terms of amenities, they are small. Ideal for me as a solo traveler, but for a couple with large luggage it would be a tight squeeze. If you are two sharing it is worth booking the largest rooms they have.

The security - 24 hours with staff at counter accessing guests going in and out. Guests can only enter the main door through the staff at coubter. This ensures that no other than guests can enter the premises.

Laundry - a few of the thick clothes received were not fully dry. My advice is to check all items in the room upon check-in. They thought we spoiled the water flask when we asked to replace one(we only realised the cover was broken when we want to boil water at night). We were asked to pay for it, which we did not. Though they did not insist but just don't feel good with that!

The location was perfect, right near all of the sites and Jonker street, but tucked 1 block from the noise. Our room was super quiet and we were surprised the next day to see how many rooms had been occupied as the guests were quiet too. The staff was very accommodating from opening doors, getting us in a parking spot right at the hotel, early check-in, to all of the check-in and check-out procedures--a very pleasant experience. We had friends stay 1 minute walking distance from us and they did not sleep at all due to all of the street noise.

Hotel location was very central, walking distance to Jonker Street for all your eating and shopping. There was allocated free parking behind the hotel (1 or 2) and we were fortunate enough that it was a rather quiet day for the hotel so we managed to snag the parking lot. We had the premium balcony room, which view half overlooks the Melaka river so it was quite nice. Room was clean and comfortable, spacious enough for 2 for a short stay. It was 31st December, so we had wonderful exclusive view of New Year fireworks from the privacy of our balcony! What a great experience.

Toilet was abit odd with the door having a pretty big gap below right in front of the toiletbowl, it might get awkward for non-couples who share a room (what with the sounds and smell). Otherwise, the toilet was clean and had a modern design. Do need to take note that being at such a prime central location, it was VERY NOISY throughout the night(up till 3-4am) - it was NYE so perhaps parties also went on later for that particular night, so it won't be a good idea to take the balcony room for light sleepers.
