Lovely, clean, excellent location just a stones throw from the city centre. Free parking very handy. Room service all night was very good. Breakfast buffet pricey (20euro a head) but tasty and varied. Everyone was helpful and friendly.

Booking.com said our booking included free spa access, however this only included the pools and gym - did not include sauna or steam room which were an extra €10 per day per person. I thought this was misleading or poorly explained on booking.

The Asian buffet was fantastic!

The indoor pool and jacuzzi were quite cold. We noticed that a towel which was left on a sunbed by someone, stayed there for 2 whole days. Who is responsible to clean everyday? Besides, quite a few machines were out of order in the gym. Not up to standard for a 5 star hotel.

the fact that there is no privacy on the balcony and that guests are able to smoke out there allowing the smoke to drift across onto neighbouring balconies and into the rooms.

The rooms are clean and the staff was gracious and accommodating. We were given a welcome drink as we checked in, which was a nice touch. The location is great and there is an offset bar that is open 24 hours. The included morning breakfast is robust and our family loved it. You have so many choices from omelettes to crêpes, yogurt, cereal, fresh fruits, and cheeses, the list goes on. Amazing pool and private beach.

Our room would get particularly warm at night. It didn’t seem like you could get it any cooler at the lowest setting on the AC. Rooms are also seeing their age, although there is something nostalgic about the overall decor.

The hotel lobby bar is nice, comfortable to sit with friends enjoying a drink there. Forgot to bring the electrical adaptor charger as Malta is UK system, the hotel lent a charger to me at the reception, it is highly appreciated that such service is available. So close to the central town, bus station and also the ferry service to Sliema.

There was strange noises at night, seems like constructions related, or maybe water dropping from the heating or air conditioning system, a little bit annoying if people are sensitive to noises or with light sleep.

We had booked the room for 3 people but the hotel hadn’t supplied the extra bed. There were cups and towels for 2 people so we had to ask for this to be rectified which it was done very quickly. The orange juice for breakfast was orange squash not freshly squeezed orange juice which is what you would expect from a 5 star hotel

We loved the location. Close to the old town and right on the Mediterranean. Loved the pool area at sunset. Rooms were spacious. Lovely breakfasts. Turn down service at night was a treat.

Rooms were a bit on the tired side (needed a coat of paint perhaps). Lots of bus tour groups made it very busy at times particularly at breakfast.

Just a little ‘dated’ … the shower was lovely once we had worked out how to use it The fridge … someone must have fiddled with the setting… our milk was frozen 🥶 The hairdryer … not expected for 5 star ⭐️

All the staff where helpful and very friendly. Food in the hotel was very good with plenty of variety.

Only draw back was location. Although not far from city centre it did require walking up hill for some distance. Not easy when one has a medical condition. However, I believe there was a shuttle bus but this had to be booked in advance.

The hotel is located in a very convenient place! our room had an exceptional view, clean (cleaned twice every day - thank you for such service). There were no problems with late check-in and last day leaving the suitcase in the storage room. Breakfasts are very varied, tasty and everyone will find something for themselves! We recommend choosing the hotel! WITH ONE "BUT" - this is not a hotel for coffee lovers, definitely not!

three things that resulted in the lower score (not 10 but 8): first - no coffee maker in the room, while it was specified in the room description on Booking.com; secondly - there is no coffee machine at breakfast to make your own coffee, the coffee served in thermoses is instant and not good enough no taste. Real coffee for an additional fee (in a five-star hotel!!!! I must pay for real coffee, we travel a lot, but this has never happened to me!!! in any stars hotel); and thirdly - constant noise from the central air conditioner or central ventilation room located on the side in front of the main entrance to the Hotel. Even though the window was closed, the annoying noise could be heard all the time. A big minus for such an inconvenience.
