Fantastic quaint and quirky boutique hotel in a great location in the heart of Valletta. Hotel owners and staff were excellent too; very helpful with every request. Breakfast has lots of choices from frittata to cereals and pastries. As others have commented, there isn’t eggs or toast made to order but everything on offer is fresh or home cooked. Lots of fresh fruit every day and different cheeses. Owner also makes wonderful home made chutneys. Rooms and decor are very unique! We had the penthouse and loved the views across the harbour. Also loved two showers in the room. A real time saver in the morning. Owners very kindly let us stay longer in the room on day of check out as we had a late flight back to UK. Fantastic week’s stay for our first trip to Malta. Would definitely return.

The penthouse does have a spiral staircase for its three floors. For some, that may be troublesome. But not a problem for us. The bed was also a double, which may be small for some. But, again, not a problem for us. The only problem for us was the street music at night. We are early to bed sight seeing older folk. But, if I came again, I’d just bring ear plugs and that would sort it! Can’t say this small issue would stop me returning again. Hotel is great .

Very nice boutique style of the hotel in the middle of one of the busiest street in this part of the Valletta. I have stayed in huge suita; the room was very spacious. Room was clean; very hot shower; good aircon; coffee machine was there as well. Room is facing the street; you can here some music in evening, for me it was great; i really felt the vibe of the city. Breakfast is little bit different than you get in most of the hotels - there is no bacon or eggs, but you have options such us: home made quiche and pies; cornflakes; fresh cheese and ham; yogurt and butter; jam; salad. Anyway if you wanna English breakfast; scrambled or sunnyside or egg Benedicts there is so many brunch and breakfast places around the hotel. The same for lunch and dinner - a lot of options. Spar grocery minimarket is 3min of walk away. Staff is super nice, helpful and polite. Definitely I can recommend this place.

I like the concept and styling of the bed, but unfortunately bed is too small. Me and my wife slept whole night in the sam position, because we were afraid if we move someone of us will be kicked from the bed hehe. Upgrade the bed, it should be much bigger, there is enough room to put.

Location, very central. Size was perfect. Breakfast was good. Very welcoming staff. Clean room with all amenities like the fridge, iron, cork screw, etc. Elevator!

Can be noisy for some so be careful if you get the street room(s). The Lucia ROOM; get rid of the dead plants, one healthy one would be great. A barn door between the sleep room and the lounge area would help with street noise and would satisfy more guests. The window/ balcony area would be much more useful if it was set up for better street viewing, music listening, etc. comfy chairs with foot stools.

Fantastic location in the heart of Vallette Large room with separate sitting area and large bathroom. We did get an early check which was great.

Our room didn't match the description on their website It promises 'sophisticated and elegant prestige room with Damask curtains and overhead rain shower.' Our experience was a shabby chic, ecclectictly decorated room with broken floor tiles, and although the shower was powerful enough, it wasn't a rain shower. The hairdryer provided only blew out warm air, and as I only used it on the last night, there wasn't a chance to ask for a replacement. The breakfast buffet was heavy on the pastries, we asked for an omelette and got a plate of unseasoned scrambled egg. There were steps into the bathroom and up to the toilet that could present a problem in the night if you forgot they were there.

I stayed at Lucia apartment for almost a week in the end of June and it was really cute and comfortable, very clean and it is exactly as it`s shown on photoes. I may say it is beyond my expectations. The location is perfect - in for sure one of the most beautiful streets in Valletta with nice cafes and restarurants and very close (maybe 5 min. by foot) to the most recommended attractions, museims, Port, gardens, etc. The breakfast was homemade, various delisious Maltese specialtes, sausages, fruits, which was very nice to try. I would like to thank Alexander who works there, he is so kind with all guests and was fantastic with his advises where are the best places to go in Malta. I want to thank Doris and her husband - my stay in Valletta Lucente Guest house was really perfect. I hope I will visit you soon!

A absolutely perfect location and as we expected the hotel was quirky and individual. Our room was great, but if you book the penthouse with the view, it does have a spiral staircase from the door and bathroom up to the bedroom and then to the roof terrace. We were fine but it won't suit everyone. Breakfast was very nice but not the 'usual' hotel breakfast which was a nice change - all freshly prepared and delicious and the staff were always very happy to help with anything you needed.

Because of the layout of our room, it was very light when the sun came up. Also the fridge wasn't very good at keeping things cold.

O my god what is a room! The hotel is situated inside an 16 century palace and that really feels like a palace, at least in the room Layla on the top floor with not one but two gorgeous terraces. Or maybe even three, depending on how you count them - full of plants, in the middle of everything and still a private sanctuary for relaxation. The interior is an eclectic mix of contemporary design and vintage furniture. Spectacular is the word. There are some stairs and differences in levels in the room and in between the terraces so this is not for people with disabilities. Valletta Lucente Guest House is located in the middle of everything. It’s by no means quiet but vibrant and fun with nice bars and fantastic restaurants literally just steps away. Breakfast is really good, the staff is super friendly and this is going to be a stay to remember. Enjoy!

First of all MALTA it's more beautiful than we can imagine. A perfect combination between the old style with many Romans, African and personal influences. In five days I didn't have time to be bored. Mdina Rabat, Comino Island with Blue Lagoon were my favorites. They know how to make the tourist relax by providing many facilities at low prices. The food is delicious starting with the many kinds of rabbit dishes which is traditional and cheap. The inhabitants give you a sense of peace through their authentic way of behaving. Malta is also accessible to tourists with a limited budget VALLETTA LUCENTE GUEST HOUSE combines the new with the old but also with the traditional in a unique and personal way. The accommodation conditions were beyond expectations. The hosts are very welcoming, assisting with discretion so that we have everything we need. This Guest House it has one of the best positions in Valletta, being located in the most beautiful area with the most popular restaurants and shops, close to the famous St. John's Cathedral. The breakfast is really fabulous and for all tastes. Every day someone discreetly cleans the room. Moreover, discretion is one of the qualities of this place On the ground floor there is also a small traditional art shop that belongs to the owners. From here you can buy a lot of things made by the hosts themselves. The hosts manage to make you feel indeed truly at home. I am overwhelmed by everything that Valletta Lucente Guest House and Malta have meant to me. Although the vacation is over, I can say that my heart is still there and I will definitely come back

All was fantastic

We recently stayed at Valletta Lucente Guest House for our 5th wedding anniversary and had the most beautiful stay. The guest house is charming upon arrival with an abundance of historical features, gorgeous high ceilings in the breakfast room and various murals on the staircase walls of the hallway. All of the staff were so welcoming when we checked in and kindly spent time showing us places of interest on the map, many of which we wouldn’t have known to have visited. We can’t express how stunning our room was! We stayed in the suite which was honestly the most beautiful hotel room we have ever stayed in. Our room was also decorated for our anniversary with swans and rose petals which was a lovely touch. The location is excellent, you step straight out of the guest house into the heart of Valletta and within minutes you can walk to all of the main attractions and enjoy dinner at one of the restaurants on the stairs which had a lovely atmosphere. We also loved the ceramic shop within reception, all of which are handmade, and purchased a beautiful ceramic tile which is so unique and reminds us of our holiday. We highly recommend this guest house and will be booking to stay again next year as we plan more trips to Valletta.
