The El den Bungalows are only 10 minutes walk from down town Mazunte which is super practical and as it is on a small mountain and the view is beautiful. But you need to be in shape as the stairs to go up to the property are quite something. We were 3 days in the Bungalow and 2 days in the family room. There is no AC is either of the rooms, the bungalow had 2 fans that did the job but in the Family room only 1 fan on the ceiling. it was very warm (were their in mid Feb). I do suggest the bungalow. The breakfast was good and cost about 10$ can. I do recommend this place but don't expect a 4* hotel.

Very quiet and tranquil place on the top of a hill with beautiful views over Mazunte (including sunrise and ocean-view). Free drinking water for refill at the reception. Super comfy beds. Had perfect deep sleep every night. We stayed in 2 different rooms: the one in the "main" building with 4 beds had great Wi-Fi connection and A/C, the other adjacent bungalow did not have either Wi-Fi nor A/C (it had a strong fan) Was great to see and hear all the birds and smaller animals around. You have actually 3 different walking paths to reach the village and the beach.

No kitchen, you can't prepare your own food. There is breakfast and drinks available to purchase but we never tried that option. Keep in mind that just like any other accommodations in Mazunte, they use satellite internet connection. It means that the connection could come and go depending on the weather situation.

Really nice place a little bit outside of town (10 min walk uphill from centre) Very quiet and peaceful Our room was basic but adequate. The couple who run the place are very kind and sweet.

Communication was a bit if an issue (our room was double booked and also received a confusing message about payment after which our reply was not replied to) — would definitely recommend staying here but I’d advise you definitely double check you have a booking as they said they’ve had many problems with double booked rooms on booking.com. All was sorted in the end.

I didn’t expect to have an en suite living room and kitchen. The view is gorgeous and it’s quite. Señor Gonzalo and his wife made me feel super welcomed while remaining discreet. The mosquito nets and the fans were the perfect combo for breezy nights. I liked being uphill (although it requires to be in shape) and away from the animation of the center. A home away from home

We were staying in the bungalow with a sea view and it was wonderfully peaceful. The views were breathtaking. The staff were very nice. It is a short walk uphill from the town, but it's definitely worth it for the views and the quiet. Still only about a 10-15min to the closest beach.

Excellent view from the public area. Gonzalo and Estella are excellent hosts. Breakfasts are tasty, convenient and very good value for money. Well placed windows and fan were adequate with no air conditioning.

Bed was small and a plastic undersheet made the corners of the fitted sheet come undone.

The hospitality and kindness shown to me by Gonzalez and his wife was wonderful. Even though I spoke no Spanish Gonzalez made an effort to help with Google translate. Nothing was too much trouble. The views were gorgeous, my room was cool in the evening, regularly cleaned and I can recommend the breakfasts. A wonderful stay. Thank you both so much.

The couple who owns this location is very kinda and caring. The rooms are quiet due to being a tiny bit out of town, but you can get into town in about 5 minutes from a number of foot paths. The rooms were comfortable and right for the price.

The shortest path is a little sketchy to walk down due to construction. I think they're working on making that better though

The roof terrace is beautiful, great spot for yoga or reading. The room was clean and comfortable, little warm with only a fan but we slept with the door open (it has a full insect net). The breakfast was good and great value. Lovely ladies who worked there, very calm and beautiful place.

It is a 5-10 minute walk into town which is downhill on the way and a bit of a climb on the way back. Nothing crazy but bear in mind if your walking ability isn't great. Also a lamp in the room would be a nice touch, the ceiling light was very harsh.

wonderful view and amazing rooftop with hammock for beautiful sunrise meditations. The beds are super comofortable and everything was super clean. I enjoyed my stay a lot :)

It‘s a little bit up the hill from mazunte but easy walking distance to the „center“ and beach. The only thing which I missed was a mosquito net on the door which you could lock up from inside in order to sleep with an open door in the night :) The pricing was a little bit high for 1 person, but it’s seems like the prices in mazunte rising anywhere. all in all very beautiful Place.
