Warm and attentive staff. The location was ideal for us, far enough from the noise of the center but just two blocks away from the beach. Our room was perfect, very clean and with a wide balcony to sit and chill.

Sadly the Island was afected by a severe weather event during our stay, and most of the streets leading to this acommodation flodded, so getting to the city center and back became a mini adventure every day (which of course is in no way this accommodation fault). Just bear in mind staying a bit far from the city center has pros and cons, and ocasional flodding is one of them. The WiFi can be quite spotty sometimes, but that is also a problem across the island.

The hotel was comfortable and the staff was really nice and helpful.

When it rains and the streets are full of puddles, it is very hard to get anywhere. Depending on the amount of rain, if its big puddles, you probably have to walk a bit through them otherwise you have to get a taxi, even if its a 5min walk to the beach.

The facilities were as advertised. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Rooms were cleaned every day. Location was great - within walking distance to stores, restaurants, the beach.

Don't really have anything negative to say - when something went wrong staff tried to fix the issue.

excellent location, less than 5 min walk to the nice part of the beach, less than 10 min walk to the center, good places for food nearby (especially one outstanding taqueria just around the corner), 10 min walk to the ferry port. very nice pool, lovely playground for kids.. we had a room on the first floor with a view over the pool, beds are quite cozy, a kitchenette has a little refrigerator and a microwave, decently working shower.. staff was very nice and helpful all in all we were very satisfied and would happily choose villas palmar again, especially if traveling with kids

wifi in rooms is a bit iffy, but they do state on the page that it is only available in common spaces, so it was pleasant to see it working in the room at all there is a construction going on at the neighbouring building at the moment as mentioned in some other comments, it was not really bothersome during our 4 days stay though, I don't think they ever started working too early and they usually finished before we came back from the beach/town center in the afternoon

We had a really good time, the room was nice, the pool area was lovely, so were the hammocks in the yard. Location was good, we could walk into "town" and to the beach of course but weren't in the middle of busy downtown. Would definitely book again.

Some more kitchen utensils would have been nice, such as a towel for example and some more cutlery/crockery. But these are just minor things.

Close to the centre and beach, the room was very well equipped for our needs and the pool was a plus. You even get the pool towels. There are also hammocks you can use and bikes for rent. The place was almost empty when we were there so it was very peaceful. :)

Nothing really.

The location was great, nice room and surprisingly very quiet. Lovely pool area with lots of lounge chairs. Nice little balcony.

Staff could have replaced empty toilet paper, coffee and sugar without us needing to ask daily. The roof has potential as a lovely place to watch the sunset and sunrise, and/or do morning exercises or yoga but it is completely lacking in amenities. The racoon poo is a bit of a concern. It would be better if it could be cleaned up daily, including washing the area.

Lovely hotel, maybe a little further away from town than ideal, but does mean not impacted by the late night noises etc. Room was a great size, good balcony, kitchen facilities, and functional bathroom. Nice to have option of fan and/or aircon. If walking, don't take the route google maps suggests along C. Hernan Cortes, it is not passable after rain at the far end! Take the next road instead.

Be cautious of whether the door locks properly when you leave - I often had to "slam" mine a couple times to make sure it actually worked. Neither of the bedside lamps worked, but not really an issue.

the property is very nice and new. rooms are big and bed is comfortable. the kitchen is well equipped to prepare breakfast. hot shower and very good cleaning on a daily basis . the swimming pool is nice and I loved the area with the hammocks.

wi fi is terrible , it doesn’t work well at all. we travelled in Nov 22 and we can foresee that the works that are literally in front of the hotel will go ahead probably another 6 months, it can be quite noisy but I’m sure it will be very nice when this second part will be done. we also suggest that guests could have an area to hang wet clothes, there is a line in the shower but it’s too humid for anything to dry.

We spent six nights. The hotel was comfortable, a great place to stay. The staff was very courteous and very accommodating. The location was perfect in relation to the public square and beaches.
