The setting of the rooms was exactly what we were hoping for in Tulum. Our feet were in sand moments after leaving our room. The hotel was full of many nice touches, such as complimentary coffee delivered to our doorstep each morning, that made the stay great. The rooftop pools and bars were also plusses. We spent more of our time on the beach, but also wished we had more time to spend at the pool. We would definitely stay again.

There wasn't anything specific to the hotel that we didn't like. The seaweed on the beach was tough, but that was everywhere. Would would have also eaten at the restaurant had the prices been just a little more reasonable.

location and beach are simply amazing. staff rakes the entire hotel sand every morning and clears seaweed restaurants are great but pricey - loved the smoothie bowls for breakfast we had the beachfront room and woke up to watch the sunrise every morning

from 11am until late in evening - they blast loud music, and some of the speakers are mounted on the hotel rooms (including ours). this goes on even when the beach is empty. the pool at the top stained all of our swim wear a weird yellow/orange color?

Nice cozy hotel in a fine location. Good beach, no rocks, seaweed is being cleaned. Rooftop bar is a unique option.

Location is not in a walking distance to the best restaurants and bars. On the map this is not far, but in reality there is no pedestrian road to those area (you should go together with a traffic on the main road). You have to use a taxi which is more expensive than in New York per 1 km drive (around 20 USD per trip). Close to the hotel there are not a lot of options to go out.

The absolute best part about Tulum was Hotelito Azul! We debated whether we should stay in town (to save money) or the right on the beach and were SO happy we ended up choosing Azul. The staff are wonderful, the rooms are gorgeous and spacious, the wifi was incredible and the their beach front was stunning. Every morning the staff would leave a thermos of coffee with two cups outside your door so you could enjoy it whenever you woke up which was a huge bonus. They also have the best rooftop on the entire beach with the most incredible view. We watched the sunset here every single night without fail. They also have the worlds best cocktails! We stayed in the Villa Suite with a garden view and it was perfect!! If you want to stay in a boutique hotel with a luxury jungle vibe then this is the place for you!!

The only bone I had to pick was the cost of everything (mainly food & drinks). This isn't just exclusive to Hotelito Azul though, it's a common theme across the entire beach. It surprised me that there wasn't anywhere close by to grab a quick snack (the closest would either be the GoMart or Seven Eleven both which are around a 15 minute walk long the dirt road). It also annoyed me that the cafe inside Azul didn't accept Pesos which seemed very odd as they only accept credit card which charges USD...although it's a very small critique and overall we had an amazing stay. If I ever decided to come back to Tulum I would 100% stay at Azul.

We had an amazing stay here, we were here for 6 nights and it was a pitch perfect stay. From the hospitality to the welcome drink, you are made to feel welcome from the very beginning. The place is serene and tranquil and everyday an amazing sunrise and sunset awaits you at the door step. This hotel has Olivia Organic market attached with it where you can have amazing organic breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Ricardo was perfect for the check in, he was extremely welcoming. The room (villa garden) was nice and met the standards of a 5 stars hotel.They serve you free coffee in the room every morning and propose multiples beverages and snacks at the bar or in the lobby. Regarding the pool, it brings a lot of value in the hotel. The infinity pool is fantastic for the specifically for the sunset.

However the hotel must improve a couple things :(1) water bucket : you can clean your foot before going to your room, however I noticed that dog’s employee drinks in the water bucket (for example mine). Totally unacceptable for 5 stars hotel. (2) bottle of water : they charged me $4 for a bottle of water before leaving the hotel after checking out. This type of charge does not meet 5 stars hotel client’s expeditions.

Very nice hotel, all the facilities are super modern, room design is great. One of the best beaches in tulum beach. Amazing location. Very friendly staff.

At the cafe, we asked for 6 slices of bread in the morning as our tour was about to start, and they wanted to charge us 20$ for only 6 slices of bread.

Beautiful, small boutique hotel with limited amount of foot traffic or business as compared to larger properties. Very quaint and relaxing courtyard full of soft lighting/candles, soft sand and hammocks everywhere. Each room is just steps from the beach chairs and ocean, so this was a great fit for our small family. My wife and I traveled with our one-year-old son and he also had such a great time!

The large rooftop pool was under maintenance during our entire stay, so we were unable to utilize it. The small rooftop pool was available for most of our stay, so we did enjoy this pool with great views of the coastline and sunsets!

Loved our stay here! It was quite and peaceful. We went during low season which was amazing and very secluded. Loved how respectful and attentive everyone was from the second we walked in all the way until we checked out. We requested toilet paper and an iron later one night and it arrived within 3 min. The staff is absolutely amazing when it comes to customer service. They make you feel like royalty.

We did have problems with our door locking and unlocking but maintenance was extremely helpful and quick to get it fix. Two things I would recommend to make this place even more spectacular would be to provide robes (nice to have in the mornings because I personally have to sleep in the cold but then it’s hard to get out of bed lol) and to create an all inclusive option (very pricy with the already included tip that we ended up deciding to not eat at the hotel as often).

We stayed one week in Hotelito Azul and I would say, that it was the best experience we had in Tulum. Service is just a TOP! I’d like to mention 4 people that made our stay very comfortable and pleasant: receptionist Renato, who was always very welcoming, concierge Alonso that helped us with everything we needed, the best waiter Miguel, who was always super friendly and nice to the guests, and soo soo sweet cleaning lady Griselda who kept our room very clean and made an elephants and dogs from the towels!:D Azul, muchas gracias for your amazing team and for the service provided. You rock!:) I’m so picky, but your service and the food at Olivia restaurant is just incredible! Highly recommend this hotel!
