Literally...Everything. :) The decor, the ambiance, the smell, the rooftop, the quietness of the Riad, the view and the sounds of the Medina from the rooftopp, the breakfast... :) Jean-Marc booked for us a private transfer from (and back to) the airport, which was extremely handy and convenient. They drop you off a really short walk away from the Riad. Find the Riad (I would say) is relatively difficult at the first time, but after days, you will get used to it, easily. On the first evening we had a 3 course dinner at the Riad, typical Moroccan dishes, we loved it. On one evening we had a glass of wine and nice chat with Jean-Marc, how they ended up there in Marrakech, history of the Riad, and about life, of course. :)) Lovely breakfast is served every morning, absolutely no rush, you can have it when you would like to. Our room was spot on, had everything we needed. I don't want to write books here, don't hesitate to book with Dar Zouar, it will exceed your expectations, it is a beautiful place to stay, in every way. Thank you Jean-Marc, we might return one day! :)

Small note to bad sleeper travellers, bring your earplugs, as you will hear most of the noises coming from the Riad/other rooms/downstairs and the check the prayer times in Marrakech, as the Adhan (song of the muezzin, a call to prayer) could be very loud early in the morning as there is a mosque nearby with megaphones on the tower. But it is part of the authentic experience, it didn't disturb us at all, I just would like to highlight it. Every prayer is different, it was beautiful and interesting to listen to it at the first time. I suggest "google" or "youtube" it to get what I am talking about. :)

The riad is a very cute and cosy place. Lovely staff ,Rahal was there to greet us on our arrival, he patiently explained us everything we needed to know, from maps and free navigation, places we must see ,how to get there,and he has a very good English as well.Always helpful with everything we needed during our stay. Our room ,The Teracota, was a cosy clean room, lovely decorations, comfy bed ,clean bedding, fluffy towels. Cute touches everywhere in the room. Breakfast was delicious, fresh bread and pancakes, fruits, freshly squeezed orange juice,checheese selection and coffee. They also had a spa room , massage, but unfortunately we didn't had enough time to experience it. Upstairs they had a lovely terrace with a jacuzzi.

What an incredible Riad! The owners are lovely and met us shortly after arriving, they gave us a tour and were happy to answer any questions. The day and night staff were second to none, helping us with anything we needed, always had a smile and felt like we were staying with family! The Riad was so beautiful, the roof top, the courtyard and our room (Azul). The small seating areas throughout and the facilities of the room couldn’t be faulted! Breakfast was delightful especially the fresh orange juice. We would recommend this Riad to anyone and would return if we return to Marrakech!

We are so glad we found your lovley Riad. Well renovated and every detail was well choosen to create the perfect stay. The entrance with the open space where you had your breakfast or dinner or just relaxed from the busy center. The room beautiful with the “open” windows to the riad center, and colouerd windows to close at night. Comfortable bed, cousins a but hard for my taste. Well equipped and spacious bathroom. Love the feeling of openness to the Riad space, it makes the place social. Very nice terrace, with places to relax and get away from the busy Medina. We liked that the riad was a bit away from the center. The neighborhood was familiar. Though it was a bit difficult to find first time. I would follow the suggestion to choose the transfer through the Riad where the driver follow you to the door. Also lovley and caretaking staff and owners that came every evening for a chat.

The Riad was in great shape. Design wise was terrific, being the host France, the Riad has that French touch which was awesome. The staff was lively and the breakfast very complete. Despite being up north of the Medina, I don’t mind having to do a 15 minute walk to the plaza.

There was just one small problem with the room. The shower licked water because of the shower head. Because of its oldness, the water spray is aiming to the outside of the shower. I recommend either change the shower head or to put a glass door in the shower. Maybe both

The hosts are awesome and caring, whilst delivering awesome food, information and support. Location is out of the noise, but near enough in walking distance to most attractions, and anything conveniently required is around the corner e.g. stores, atm, restaurants etc. The alternative is taxis, which are always a few hundreds metres away at around $8 within the Medina or $16 outside. The rooftop is an awesome area, and having the Riad diner on the rooftop is romantic and a tasty feast.

Alcoholic drinks are expensive.

Beautiful Riad with nice rooftop. The young man (really sorry i forgot your name) gave us such a warm and friendly welcome with mint tea and helped us with everything needed, from offline navigation to booking a restaurant. We felt home immediately- outstanding, wonderful service. Very pretty decoration as well.

Not easy to find initially. We booked the airport transfer and were picked up at a parking spot. Later we could navigate easily but if you are trying to find it yourself you may have difficulties.

Beautiful decor and friendly service. The small set up made it feel very homely. Rooms beautifully decorated and comfortable. Short walk from main attractions.

The plunge pool on the roof terrace as pictured in the photographs had been replaced by a lazy spa, which didn't seem like a suitable alternative for freshening up after a sun bathe. Not a major inconvenience though. I thought that the chairs at the breakfast table would benefit from seat cushions to make them more comfortable but my family didn't feel this was lacking.

Loved the cozy boutique style riad. Very tastefully decorated in the creamy hues and looked exactly like the pictures. Beds n pillows were very comfortable. Enjoyed the welcome Moroccan tea and the interesting treats served with it. The hosts were a lovely couple and made frequent trips to check if everything was in order and that we were being looked after well by their staff.

About a 3-4 min walk (with our suitcases) through the bylanes of the Medina as the car cannot get to the property entrance. Download an offline version of maps for directions. Breakfast was lovely but with set portions. Water was not replenished. The pool is the size of a jacuzzi so since we were a large group we didn't have the chance to use it.

Such a light and cosy Riad in the heart of Marrakesh, yet a very calm and safe area at night. Marc & Corinne are the perfect hosts and the staff is the nicest and makes sure you have a wonderful stay. I was staying there with 3 friends, we all booked a treatment in the inhouse spa which was very relaxing and transport from and to the airport was easily taken care of.
