Hotel Vondel Garden exceeded our expectations. The room was clean, modern, and larger than we'd expected. The beds were comfortable, and the hotel location was perfect and right next to Vondel Park. The neighborhood was also safe and really beautiful. Breakfast was included (an unexpected surprise!) and included a nice variety of tasty options. The staff were so helpful, friendly, and kind. We appreciated the extra attention and care shown to our children, as well as the helpful recommendations from staff during our stay. We could not recommend this hotel more.

Staff, receptionist information, cleanliness, close to amenities, quiet outsider environment, specially liked the Dutch breakfast which give you good energy for starting the day.

It is only a complement for improvement guess satisfaction in the future . There should have cover mattress in all bedroom, and pillows cover case also. Anti acaries spray highly recommended on mattress. There should have separation of the rubbish, examples plastics, glasses and standard rubbish.

The hotel is situated near Vondelpark to the south of the city - the Museumplein tram station was a 10-15 minute walk away, opposite the Van Gogh museum. The hotel was clean and the staff members were friendly and helpful. Our room was checked over every day, so staff members are obviously very attentive and keen to provide comfort. The bed was very comfortable - nice to have been given a room upgrade for no extra cost as we were staying for 4 nights. Would happily stay there again. To note - there is no lift in the hotel, which may be a struggle for some travellers - fine for us

Exceptionally helpful staff and a convenient location for the major museums and public transport to and from the airport.

Breakfast was ok, but the quality could have been better.

The location was very convenient, just on the edge of the city center - you could still walk to all the points of interest, but it wasn't loud. A great advantage is that it is almost adjacent to the Vondel Park, which is a great option to relax at. I liked that there was access to the fridge at the reception area and you could make yourself a cup of coffee or tea free of charge any time you wanted. During my stay the hotel itself was quiet, with all guests behaving nice and quiet. My favorite part: the receptionist Sasha. He went above and beyond showing us the main point of interest on the map. He was truly invested in the guest satisfaction and he simply made our stay so much more exceptional and memorable. The bathrooms need a bit of renovation. There is no physical boundary between the shower and the rest of the bathroom, which just keeps on damaging the space, the wood frame, the door with water and humidity, etc. It would be nice if there was some sort of chair so sitting on a bed was not the only option.

A wonderful hotel with the kindest staff i have encountered . Located a short walk from the Museumplein and Leidseplein from where you can walk or get a tram to everywhere interesting in the city . As an elderly person with an injured knee i could not have managed tho outp Amsterdam stairs . The heart of the hotel noticed this and aranged my booking to the first floor I stayed in the hotel for 2 weeks .Unfortunatelly i fell ill and lost my passport . Under the circumstances my trip could have been miserable . But the staff did everything to take care of me and cheer me up . I received flowers and Sasha was r to taithke care of my nutritio.n as i was too weak to to go out . I got help and assistance with all my problems .. I allteady miss Sasha , Ruby ., Joanna , Patrick , super Mamadou ,Chiara , Paulina and Mohammed . Instead of being a catastrophy this stay restored my faith in humanity .

The breakfast could have had more variety .

Room was cozy and cute. Staff was helpful. Included breakfast was nice. Complementary drink on arrival. Overall good experience.

Bathroom was a bit too small for my taste, but functional and clean.

The hotel is located in a nice quiet and quite residential area of Amsterdam but in very easy walking distance of the Van Gogh museum, a nice park close by and also friendly bars, cafes and restaurants and good location for tram stations to get back to the centre, I would choose this location and hotel again.

It's not a case of not liking and you have to appreciate it is Amsterdam, where in parts the properties are very narrow and tall, so if you want a bigger room and perhaps not have to use stairs, or are staying for longer, then go for a more main stream central hotel, but it was perfect for our short stay of 2 nights.

The property is in between the old city center and the main museum, thus a perfect place to discover Amsterdam from.

A bit pricey (100€/day for a 7m2 room on 3rd floor). The biggest issue was that in the morning you may not take a shower on pick hour (8-9am) since the water pressure was too low.

This was one of my best ever inner city hotel stays. Our room was on the smaller side, on the top floor, and a little hot in the evening. However, it was inmaculately and stylishly, yet simply, decorated. Very clean. The receptionists were always friendly and ready to give us insider tips about sightseeing. This was much appreciated, since everything seems to be so impersonal and online these days. The area is really safe, yet lively and happy. The location is brilliant, close to everything. I was travelling as a single mum with my teenage daughter and we found the experience safe and reassuring. A great jewel was the breakfast. Loads of nutritious, home made food, ranging from salad, Spanish ommelet, boiled eggs and fruit to very nice coffee. There was no lactose free milk available but I bought some at the store and they kindly stored it for us in their fridge. The family table layout for breakfast sparked a few lively conversations, yet you could be private if you wish. Thank you for running such a lovely little hotel at such great rates.

Nothing was out of order. The name does not feature in the entrance, which was a bit confusing at first but the recepcionist welcomed us straight away. It gave the entrance just a hint of mild surprise. But it was also pleasant. Like a little 'Dutch joke'.
