lovely inside, very grand in places. Nice big clean room.

We ordered room service for day one but it did not arrive. This made us late for our day of plans due to waiting over an hour but then being told to go down to the restaurant by which point most items had been put away although the kitchen did make us some food.

I was traveling many times to Haarlem, but it was my first experience at this hotel. I'm so happy with my choice, the room was so comfortable, staff are so friendly, delicious food and breakfast. I stayed 4 nights without any complaints. 15 minutes to walk city center, location great, my recommendation book with breakfast. Definitely, I will stay again at Carlton Square Hotel when I visit Haarlem .. recommended 👌

perfect location, right by a bus stop for easy access from the airport, but also a quick walk to museums and cafes. the location was also great for getting to other cities as well. the hotel was also very quiet, so no street noise to speak of. many dutch hotel rooms are very small but our room was spacious and comfortable.

the wifi was a little slow, but that's not much of a problem.

We chose this property because of its fantastic proximity to Keukenhof Gardens, which we bicycled 9 miles to the first day of our stay here (well worth it!) The hotel is ideally situated near everything in Haarlem’s old city center and we loved it! The property itself was beautiful, too: situated in a quiet neighborhood, it has a great lobby, attractive restaurant with wonderful breakfast buffet and tasty dinner. Our room was excellent too, with a small balcony and sitting area. The staff was also efficient and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Deluxe room with free mini bar, large room and very comfortable bed. Hotel bar excellent (not like a hotel bar at all). Staff very welcoming and friendly. Location excellent - close to some really nice restaurants, quiet location next to a park, 15 minute walk to centre of Haarlem old town and Grote Market.

Spare bed left in room - could have been removed but not a major issue. Balcony is tiny - only room for one to stand (again, no issue for us really).

The staff was nice, the room was large and breakfast was very good. A really nice hotel to stay in but about a 20 minute walk back to the center

Some people might not like the fact that they have to walk about 15 minutes back to the center. It really didn’t bother me. The only thing is exciting when you’re in the center. But it’s hotels in a nice area by a beautiful park. It is a very nice setting.

The room was very clean and spacious enough with tea/coffee making facilities alongside fridge.Meals were very nice and the staff multi lingual and very helpful.

Everything comes down to cost and that is obviously dependant on your own financial position. As a senior citizen a tiered rate for staying at the hotel would be appreciated.

Breakfast was excellent as well as the evening meals, cleaning staff and staff in the restaurant very friendly

The check out was a bit messy, we had to leave very early in the morning, however the payment system did not work, so we had to wait for some 25 minutes, while we were in a hurry to catch the departure flight at Schiphol, in the end we had to leave the details of our credit card with the reception in order not to miss our flight

Hotel located in a quiet location near the bottom end of city centre. 5min walk in to the centre with plenty shops, cafes and restaurants. My room was very comfy, clean and I had a very good nights sleep. Room also had a balcony over looking the park opposite. Highly recommend booking this hotel when staying in Haarlem.

Empty mini bar - complimentary water would be nice esp if travelling in summer.

Hotel location is excellent, in a walking distance to bus stop, supermarket, restaurants and even to the city center. The staff were so professionals, starting from the receptionists (Peter & Tom) who were very cooperative, Zocher Restaurants staff are amazing. Breakfast shouldn't be missed in Zocher Restaurant, they have a lot of varieties and meet all expectation.

Smoking in the Balcony is not allowed (not mentioned when booking).
