Very nice owners and amazing breakfast. Location was spot on very close to any main point in Haarlem (train station bus and grocery shop are right in the front door)
It was not clean. The carpets, floor and table + counters looked like they have not been cleaned in a while. The bathroom was pretty clean though but overall the floors and counters were extremely dirty and dusty.

The location in the centre of town is excellent with everything in easy walking distance. The room in an historic building has a lot of character. We enjoyed the really good breakfast. The elderly hosts are very nice people but it felt like keeping the place going may be too much for them these days.
The room hadn’t been cleaned properly. There were stale breadcrumbs on the table and I had to clean dirty marks in the bathroom myself. The room isn’t serviced or cleaned at all while you’re there. The bathroom is tiny and the water pressure in the shower is very weak. The towels are small and there’s only one short rail to hang them on to dry. The garden is overgrown and full of weeds and the outdoor furniture was dirty with cobwebs. We expected better quality and cleanliness for a place with such a high rating and which is very expensive.

This b&b is in a historical building. The room was very spacious, beautifully decorated with big windows overlooking a blooming garden. The breakfast was sufficient and served in the morning either in the room or in the garden. The bathroom was small but comfortable with a good high pressure shower. The kitchen had a refrigerator and a microwave. The host was friendly and helpful.
The owner told us that we need to pay the city tax in cash on our last day. It took us a long time to find a cash machine to withdraw cash. One machine was broken, the other was far away and the day was hot. If we knew about it from the beginning we would take care of it while on a trip to Amsterdam.

Location was brilliant for the centre of Haarlem. Access was really simple from Schiphol airport. Simply exit the airport, take the 300 bus and it drops you right outside the apartment. Really simple. Just swipe on and off the bus with a credit/debit card. The house was accessed by a key box, so no waiting around to be let in. The room we had was spacious with seating/dining area, kitchen, sleeping area and a bathroom. There was a tv with both BBC1 & 2, so good for we Brits, a coffee machine and everything else you might need. The hosts were wonderful and provided a superb breakfast each day with fruit, yogurt, cereal, juice, croissants, bread, ham, cheese and jams. There are lots of great restaurants within easy walking distance, and we had some lovely meals whilst there. Transport is really easy on the buses, trams and trains, so Amsterdam was reached in about half an hour, Keukenhof gardens in about 45 minutes and Zaanse Schans in about an hour.

This was a perfect base for our stay in Haarlem. The apartment is right across from the airport bus (300) and instructions for accessing the key were clear. The room was great, the bed was v comfortable, there was lots of reading material and a little kitchenette with fridge and kettle which was really handy. The breakfast was superb, it was brought to our room every morning and set us up for the day. Esther and her husband were lovely too. Haarlem was such a nice city and we much preferred it to Amsterdam, lots of lovely independent shops and cafes. We would definitely stay here again. It was easy to get to Keukenhof, the flower fields in Lisse and to Amsterdam for day trips.
We hadn't realised that the tourist tax (5 Euros per person per day) wasnt included in the booking. This was my fault as when I checked the booking.com confirmation, it did say at the bottom but I'd missed it. The owners mentioned it on the morning we were leaving and we had no cash and were rushing to the airport. Luckily there was an ATM near by and I was able to get it, but it might be a good idea if the owners mention this on the first day so you can keep some Euros aside as you cant pay it by card. Only a minor thing though and not their fault as I should have read the confirmation properly!

The B & B is set in an 18th century mansion. High ceilings with a chandelier. The room was spacious, clean and looked out onto a beautiful garden. The bed was very comfortable with an excellent mattress. The hosts , Ad and Esther are wonderful people. They are superb hosts that provided a great place to stay and included a few extra treats to enjoy. The breakfast was delicious and is delivered to the room on a trolley every morning. This is a wonderful place to stay and I heartily recommend it to fellow travelers.

This is one of the better places I’ve ever stayed in many years of traveling around the globe. A very spacious room, more like an apartment with an extremely comfortable bed and pillow, among the best I’ve ever slept in. A delicious breakfast delivered to your room at 9:00 AM! There was also a large bouquet of freshly cut flowers, and a small mini bottle of wine to greet me when I first arrived. There is also a refrigerator and a small kitchenette, as well as a table with four chairs and a couch. Large picture windows open up to a pretty garden. Just a very short walk from the main sites of Haarlem. There was a lot to love about staying there - helped to make it a very special couple days for me.

Arriving at the B&B from the Amsterdam airport was inexpensive and easy on the bus that stopped right at their front door. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, and sitting out in the garden was delightful. The location was great for seeing the sites of Haarlem and easy enough to take public transportation to Amsterdam if one wished. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, so much so that we saved some of it for a picnic lunch. Many thanks to Ad and Esther!
Can’t think of anything we didn’t like.

A tranquil stay in a charming historical mansion with a beautiful garden. I felt very safe throughout my visit. The location is perfect—right in the heart of downtown, just steps away from shopping, restaurants, canals, and the old square. A direct and frequent bus to the airport (#300) stops just across the street in front of the house. While self check-in and check-out made things convenient, I had the pleasure of meeting the gracious host in the morning when they delivered a delicious and generous breakfast on a cart.
