The communication to the receptionist is not clear to provide the right way going to the hotel from the airport. I am waiting for his call in 1hr bcos he said he called me back I wasted the 1hr that I need to rest after the 16hrs fight. The hotel is in the city area but it's quite far from the airport and it's hard to contact the number that you put in booking so it's not easy to connect and the receptionist is not clear to provide the right way to go there. And one more thing they should put a soap rack in the shower room much better and perfect.

It was so affordable yet so close to where our conference was being held in downtown Auckland. I liked that the room had a fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle as it meant I could easily heat my own meal. I liked that I could park ny car safely in secured parking on the bottom floor garage. Staff are so helpful and friendly.

I didn’t know there would be no lift only stairs. I had quite a few things I needed to bring from my car but then the staff offered me a change of room to one on the ground floor which was lovely of them and made it easier for me thank you! You could add to your website that there is no lift? Or maybe I just missed that when booking?

Third time staying at The Gamma! Such a great wee hotel with super comfortable rooms!

I stayed in one of their basic double rooms this time round, which was great. However it did lack a couple of amenities that would have made the stay even more comfortable. There was only the overhead light, which made it hard to see when getting into bed, lamp by the bed would have been very handy, would have meant I could have read in bed. A comfy arm chair or even just a luggage stand in the corner of the room would have also been quite helpful. It was a great sized room, with a lot of dead space!

Price was very reasonable, room was very clean. Room was very quiet in daytime when i was studying inside for my exam. At night it was relatively quiet with a wee bit of traffic but not too bad. Location of room in the building makes a difference to the stay. The corner location kept it quiet. ( My previous stay here 1 or 2 years back was not as pleasant because there were people talking very loudly in the corridor at 1am but that was a room located in the middle of the common corridor/ hallway.) Also appreciated the very decently priced private car parking facility at their basement.

Had just one weird insect that looked like a millipede or centipede (hopefully it was not!!) that dropped down to the corner of the floor from somewhere but i crushed it and flushed down the toilet bowl😅, so all good. No insect infestation, rest assured. I had to switch off the fridge at bedtime because the sound was affecting my ability to sleep.

Location, parking (paid but a reasonable price considering,). Room room and facilities were clean. Shower had nice strong water pressure. The nice big window was great too.

No do not disturb signs for doors. When I go up to Auckland it's for a late night so I use much of the day to rest. Housekeeping accidentally woke me up, they didn't come in til I answered the door and they were very nice though just doing their job but would have been nice to avoid the interruption to my nap..

The staff at the hotel were excellent - very helpful and accommodating. However, when a rogue took two parking spaces late at night, I had to retrieve the after-hours contact number from the front door as the reception was unattended. The rooms were spacious, with a walk-in wardrobe. While this is great, the space could be utilized better with additional seating, as there was no desk, seating, or table. The bathroom was also gigantic and so well presented it seemed out of place. The hotel is centrally located on a quiet semi-one-way street, but it's on a reasonably steep hill, so it may not be suitable for people who find steep gradients challenging to walk. Overall, the hotel was good, although it needed a few minor improvements. I would recommend it to budget-conscious travelers who need a centrally located hotel with the essential amenities - a clean room with a bed, coffee, shower, and toilet.

I wasn't sure if there was lift access, and if there was, the signs were unclear. The bed moved freely whenever I sat on it, but my wife found it comfortable, and that's all that matters. There was an unpleasant smell either outside the hotel or in the basement car park, which we noticed when we arrived, and it remained two days later, so it might be present all the time. The room had ample supplies of coffee, tea, sugar, etc., and a microwave, but there were no plates or cutlery, only cups. Additionally, there was no iron in the room. However, please note that I did not request any of these items from the staff as I was pressed for time, so they may actually be able to accommodate your needs.

Excellent location - walking distance to city centre, ferry terminal, Countdown (version of Woolworths). Air Conditioner in the room was lovely and was great for winter nights. Fridge in the room, fresh towels daily. Carpark availability Laundry services on site.

Laundry services could've been better - but laundromats are close by. Website advice regarding parking would be appreciated, my understanding was parking was sorted/paid for when arriving, but reception said it was supposed to be organised beforehand.

The shower pressure was amazing, all 4 of us loved the showers! The rooms were clean, the cleaners were very friendly. The location was great for walking to nearby attractions and having on-site car parking was brilliant.

The mattresses were quite uncomfortable, all 4 of us didn't get good rest on the mattresses. The doors were on an automatic shutting mechanism which SLAMMED them loudly enough that you could hear when other people were coming and going. I had a light bulb missing on my side of the bed. Apart from that, we had a great stay.

I really liked how spacious the bathroom is and how clean it is. I also liked the vibe of the room, it feels very homy and comfortable. Going out and coming back in the hotel is also easy and convenient.

I wish the TV could do chrome cast or something or have a cord for HDMI so we could connect our devices to the TV. I also didn't love the supply of milk in the rooms and sugar and all that, I thought it was too small.
