It is located very near to the Christchurch airport (within 15 mins drive) and so it was convenient for us who needed to fly home the next day.

We were placed on a floor with noisy tour/group travellers. The hotel walls are pretty thin and we could hear the loud conversations along the corridor. Perhaps the hotel management can consider putting big group travellers and couple/single travellers in separate floors. The other thing is that the signboard indicating the entrance to the hotel is too small and easily missed. This can also be improved.

The hotel is conveniently located on upper Papanui Road, so walking to shops/mall turned out to be very practical. The whole complex is clean, well maintained and well presented, and the rooms were the same. Big guest carpark. Caters to tours and groups as well as single travelers. They will shuttle you to the airport if you request. Complex has an attached bar/restaurant and garden bar. I didn't eat there but the menu looked good, so next time. The room was a good size for single or couple, had a very clean bathroom (shower & bath). The bed mattress was amazingly comfortable. The TV system had movies channels or you could access your own Netflix. The real gems for this place are the staff. All of them were friendly and incredibly helpful.

A stalwart in Christchurch accommodation, which has been thoughtfully refurbished. The reception still looks pretty plain, but the room I was in on the 4th floor was tastefully decorated, modern and super comfortable. The bathroom and shower were very nice, a nice touch was an automatic motion detection light for a late night toilet visit. The staff were accommodating and even cleared the next night in the event I needed to extend my stay, which I did. Really well located in Papanui, about 4km from the airport and 5km from centre city. Plenty of places to eat with 5 mins drive.

Great staff. Very nice breakfast with lots of options. Could leave luggage after checking out. Shuttle van to the airport - this was our main reason for booking this hotel, and it's proximity to Northlands Shopping Centre where we could walk to to while away a couple of hours before taking the shuttle to the airport. Good price too.

Very noisy air conditioner and right beside a bed.. No walk-in shower. No tap for jug at the jug counter - had to go into the bathroom to fill the jug but this is a minor issue. TV difficult to find your way around. Beds seem to be memory foam and the indents from previous bodies didn't work for us a we like a flatter sleeping surface.

The room was a good size, very clean, and the bed, pillows, and duvet were comfortable. The staff were friendly and greeted us warmly whenever we came and went. The location was excellent—just a short walk to the shops and a quick drive to the city center. The TV had a great selection of channels, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly.

The toilet roll kept slipping off the holder, but it was a minor issue and the only flaw in an otherwise excellent experience.

Great location that came with free parking, sound proofing was great extremely peaceful and great for a good night's sleep. Cleanliness and service of staff was top notch as well, asked for directions to a cafe and staff also kindly helped to check for parking spaces as well! Also love that the bathroom was very spacious and came with lots of toiletries and areas to hang our clothes which we always appreciate :-) 1000% would recommend!

NIL we loved everything!

Size of room was great, well laid out and had everything we needed. Really enjoyed being able to soak in the bath. Staff very welcoming and friendly.

For convenience's sake we decided to have dinner in the restaurant and our daughter joined us. Found it somewhat disappointing, lamb chop was 3/4 fat and what meat was on it was tasteless. Menu was quite limited.

Excellent location, great facilities, helpful staff, and a good restaurant and bar.

The downstairs exit door at the end of the building needs to be accessible by Guest Card. At present it is locked as a Fire Exit Door. This is ridiculous as it means that guests in the far part of the hotel have to access their room by walking through the main entrance, past the foyer and down a long hallway instead of being able to park right outside their room with a 10 second walk to the room. We also did not enjoy the shower over the bath with a shower curtain. This is 20 - 30 years out of date and does not represent four or five star facilities in 2023.

Driving in the entrance of the hotel was very clean, tidy and the beautiful roses and the gardens were kept in immaculate conditions that presentation to me topped off what the inside of the hotel was going to be like and I was right

1) During public holidays dining in for lunch should be made clear to guest that the hours are different from a normal day 2) Shuttle service to airport could be more flexible to cater for early departures out of Ōtautahi Christchurch 3) Would be great if there was a swimming pool at the location

Upgraded to apartment on 2nd night, and very happy. 1st night was very comfortable in room, but when we saw the apartment we decided very quickly to "treat" ourselves. Loved the shower and spa bath, also great having the courtyard, and separate lounge. Very comfortable and well maintained.

Unfortunately renovations were going on, which need to be done, but were a bit noisy at times. We were ok with that, just meant we woke up abit earlier.
