We hired two units for our party of 5. This worked out very resonable conpared to other places we have stayed in. We weren’t staying long enough to do much cooking but everything seemed to be provided. I would have liked to have tried the outside hot tub but time and the cold were against us doing that. It was just a short drive to the central city and the Riccarton Mall….and working distance to several restaurants.

The shower! I am sorry to say that my two attempts at using the shower were disappointing. I am sure there are clear instructions somewhere but when you are actuallly in there, you think it can’t be that difficult to operate. The main problem was that it seemed to have a mind of its own as to when it would shoot out boiling hot, or freezing cold water. I played around with the gizmo and almost mastered it but it was a bit of a fight!

The location is superb, with shops, servo and bottle shop all walking distance. This is homely accomodation with a large courtyard. The management and staff are lovely and helpful. We arrived in the early hours of the morning after a flight and key collection and finding the unit was simple thanks to a helpful email and a map which was left for us. It was a cold night and we walked into the unit and staff had the heat pump on for our arrival and it was lovely and warm. The property is old now but it was a home away from home, plenty of tea and coffe, milk, beautiful soft towels daily and the beds were firm but comfortable. I thought it was good value and will definitely stay at the Camelot on my next visit to Christchurch.

Parking could be difficult especially in the weekend when the motel was heavily booked. The interior could do with some paint upgrade in places.

The check in was easy and the staff friendly. The room was room spacious, it had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. There was a spa pool just outside our door and parking close to our unit. The unit was clean and new towels were provided daily.

It was a but dated and the bathroom did not have an extractor fan. We were in a two bedroom unit and the bedrooms did not have doors on them, the upstairs bedroom was on a mezzanine floor which was open to the lounge and the downstairs one was next to the bathroom and only the bathroom had a door.

We have stayed a few times over the years in the large family apartments. Booked through booking.com because the prices were very affordable! Not super modern, but not old either, nice and clean and well maintaind, everything our family needed, and 2 BATHROOMS (thats always a bonus with lots.of people) The apartments are like a home away from home. All staff we have seen over the years have been really freindly and helpful.

As we stay in the family apartments, I cook because we have had a crew of people, and with cooking comes, steam, smoke and smells and the oven fan extractors didnt work, i was paranoid my frantic cooking skills could set of a fire alarm!! 😆....😬

The rooms were clean and tidy and all the staff were helpful and happy. Great location.

I don't think there was anything I didn't like. It's not a 5* hotel so if you go expecting that you may be dissapointed but it's a good rate and the staff make it 5* they go above and beyond with a smile. It is exceptionally clean and spacious rooms. We stayed in two one was modernised so had the edge on the other room but both were functional and perfect as a base for our NZ travels.

We loved the extremely quiet location ( especially at night ) - the fact that the unit was in a mostly shaded area so it remained a comfortable temperature all day - a nice swimming pool for a freshen up - great location handy to everything we wanted to see - plenty of good restaurants nearby.

No Complaints whatsoever but a couple of things would be handy if wanting to enhance : - a couple of hooks and maybe a shelf in the shower - the desert/cereal bowls were tiny unless you wanted a tiny breakfast - typical motel problem caused by guests - frypan was very distorted and would not sit flat on element - NONE OF THESE A BIG DEAL - just feedback for the operators - Thankyou for a great stay.

Affordable price and great service from the lovely young man on Reception that day that I couldn't remembered his name. He was friendly and managed to find a big room for me and my three children. Kids enjoyed it the pool. We will be back next time.

Everything was okay except our room was not cleaning for three days. I totally understand that they were short staff but would be nice if there's a vacuum in the room so we can clean it each day. I don't mind to clean if there is a vacuum.

Central to everything with great services locally, room had everything we needed . Was warm and cosy and children loved the space . We were right next to the spa and this was excellent so good! Good value. Family friendly.

Rooms are a wee bit tired looking- nothing a lick of paint couldn't fix and some fresh amenities. But they were comfortable and ample heating was appreciated being winter time. Would of loved the living space to of been vacuumed daily but appreciated fresh towels and rubbish bins emptied.

Was nice and warm and spacious. Very cosy and staff were great.

The shower door wouldn't shut properly so water leaked everywhere and there was no soap in the hand basin. Didn't like how there was sky but no movies option this should be mentioned on the advertisement so was very dissappinting for the price to not even have movies to watch. This was quality time with my partner and I believe I didn't get what I paid for. Apart from that staff were great but if nothing is done about this I will be going elsewhere next time.

We stayed 2 nights at this wonderful establishment The gentleman on the front desk was super helpful and friendly. The accommodation itself was spacious and to high standard of cleanliness. The hot tub had a few chipped tiles but nothing to worry about or detract from its enjoyment. The pool although small was very welcome on a hot day. We have been touring around the South Island for the last 3 weeks and this was by far the best value for money we had come across, and the friendliest staff. It was minutes away from Hagley Park and very good restaurants. Guests also get 10%off if dining at the Carlton which is near by. Theres good laundry facilities that allowed us to refresh our clothes before more travels. I would definitely recommend this property, its facilities and staff to anyone staying in Christchurch wishing to have good quality, high standards of cleanliness and helpful staff, close to Christchurch centre. Outstanding service and value 🤗👍

Everything perfect - nothing to dislike would definitely stay again if the opportunity arises
