After a long flight we were relieved to get to Azena and we received a lovely, warm welcome which included a brief explanation of local shops and restaurants 🙏. We had chosen Azena primarily because rooms had a washing machine and after 3 weeks on the road it was needed! With temperatures of 33 degrees in Christchurch the air con in our spacious room worked a treat. The shower was great as were the WiFi and Sky TV channels. The kitchenette came with everything we needed to cook some simple meals and the bed was really comfy. We'd happily go back again.

We were relieved to get parking, there didn't seem to be enough space for the number of rooms, but I could be wrong on that. It could have been a little cleaner, those darn spiders had left a few cobwebs above the bed

Comfy beds and room. Clean kitchen. Great location and spacious, well-equipped room. The staff were really lovely. Easy check in/out. Easy parking and location. There's even a washer and dryer in the room.

The bathroom wall is full of mould, plus there's an ant issue in the bathroom wall. The extractor fan doesn't seem to work so that's likely the issue. Couldn't really enjoy the bath though. Neighbour was smoking right outside our window so the smoke went inside. The room is stuffy without the window open.

Lovely staff...we had to undertake a period of mandatory NZ isolation for Covid-19. The management and staff were very understanding, totally supportive and very helpful and assisted us in practical ways. The cleaning ladies doing the rounds were excellent in particular in providing our needs remotely. Thank you so much ladies..you made our stay as relaxing us possible under the circumstances!!

Office was closed due to a car backing through their door but they told us in advance and made check in and check out easy. Good location with restaurants , pub and supermarket all a short walk away. Washer and dryer in bathroom was a great plus. Very reasonably priced.

I' am being super picky here but shower water pressure wasn't great and bathroom needed repainting, probably due to steam from clothes dryer.

Quiet location, good size rooms. Liked there was washer and dryer. Shower had good water pressure. Staff were friendly. Good value for money. Like they had electric blankets

The beds weren't very comfy and the pillows were terrible. Would have liked either a second or third pillow or for them to be fluffier. The water pressure in the shower was good however the heat would randomly turn cold without touching the nozzle. Finally the rooms were cold, the heat pump didn't seem to pump out much heat. If it wasn't for the electric blankets it would have been unbearable

I love how tidy the Suite is, access to the room, how you can park right outside the door and especially how comfortable the bed is, my favourite would have to be the washing machine, and dryer on your own room is perfect, have a shower and clothes straight in the machine 😃 the staff are so friendly, receptionist was very welcoming. Definitely 5 stars

Great little apartment with a kitchen and laundry facilities ensuite. Great shower and wifi. Small balcony overlooks parking lot. kitchen was well thought out with everything that we needed. Shopping and restaurants right across the road. John was an excellent host.

Not much to see in the neighbourhood but only 10 minutes to downtown

The apartment was very clean and comfortable and well fitted out. It is across the road from supermarkets, restaurants and cafes, petrol etc. It is any easy 30 minute walk into the city. The manager, John, was very helpful when we needed something.

Nothing really. There were a couple of items missing from our room when we arrived, but this was quickly rectified when we spoke to the manager.

The unit was clean and a good size for our requirements. Loved the heated floor. Good kitchenette but the bonus was the in unit washer and drier. Good location, close to downtown and other tourist attractions.

Housekeeping should let management know about burnt out lights in the toilet.

I very much liked that the room had a heat pump, and a washing machine and dryer in the unit. They were very much appreciated.

There was no-one on reception, seemingly at any stage. I had to ring him offsite and get him to come down when I needed him.
