Very central, 2 mins walk or less into the centre of town and hotpools, but also very private and quiet. The rooms have everything you need, amazing strong shower pressure and hot water. The managers are excellent, friendly and helpful. I really loved the stay and would recommend and I'd stay again if travelling pet free.

The only down side was that the walls between rooms are quite thin, we had people talking in the room next door until after midnight the first night and could hear this even though they weren't being super loud, just talking in normal voices. Also I found the Queen bed super firm, i do like a solid bed but something with a touch of give that's just personal preference though.

Excellent location and friendly, welcoming staff. We were welcome to park our vehicle there earlier than check in and grab some towels to head to the pools, which was extremely handy :-)

Walls are quite thin and we could hear everything next door, which made us mindful of our privacy. Rooms could also do with a bit of an update (TV was pretty old and remote picked and chose when it would work). Was difficult to wash dishes in the little jug provided, but we made it work.

Very tidy unit with a large bathroom area, good space in the room and a comfy bed. The unit is well shaded from the sun and very handy for the hot springs. Extra towels provided for the hot springs. Good wifi.

Was surprised (given that the unit had a fridge, microwave, plates, dishwashing liquid and brushes, etc.) that there was no sink (i.e., dishes had to be done in the bathroom). This wasn't a issue for us as we only stayed one night, but would be inconvenient for a longer stay. Our unit had a connecting door (for large family groups we assume), which let sound through from the next unit. Again, this wasn't a problem for us as our neighbours were pretty quiet and retired early, but if they had been (say) watching TV late it could have been problematic.

The location is exceptional. It is very easy to locate on the drive into town and is a very short walk to the Thermal Pools and shopping/restaurant district. The forest walks are just as close when you go in the opposite direction. When checking in the staff member was friendly and helpful and ensured that we were happy with all of the arrangements. The room was a great size and had a kitchenette, milk was supplied in a reusable glass bottle and there was plenty of tea and coffee etc. Towels to use at the pools are supplied and can be exchanged as you need them. At all times and no matter what we asked the owners and staff were helpful and cheerful. We were even allowed to leave our car, after we had checked out of the room, for a little while.

Fabulous on all levels.

Hamner Springs is a lovely place to visit or live. Very picturesque and plenty to see and do. The Alpine Lodge was a lovely place to stay with friendly and helpful owners/staff.

I booked 2 different rooms (1 for 2 people and 1 for 3 people). Rooms were quite spacious although 1 room was a little dated and the bathroom small. 1 room did not have aircon which made sleeping at night a little uncomfortable.

No breakfast available the location was perfect will def stay again

The bed could have been better as i had a dead arm an side both mornings, the shower is tiny an Noise from the cabin next door woke us both mornings but you expect that , an not enough tv channels arrived in time to watch shorties but no tv 2 so maybe add a dvd player as we love to curl up an watch a movie after soaking in the pools or add netflix so we could have usued our netflix acc but again no biggie def not enough to stop us staying there again, was so handy to everything warm an roomy

Our room got upgraded and we loved the room we were in! The bed was big and comfy and the room was nice and cozy, perfect for a couples weekend away, especially during the wet weather it was a nice place to relax and unwind. Staff were also very helpful and friendly 🙂 we loved our stay and will be back again.

The parking especially for a truck was difficult and we found there wasn't dedicated parking for our room and the space was shared with 5 others. There was also a constant dripping noise from a drain outside our room when it rained, it went all night. In saying that this wouldn't deter us from staying again.

The place is opposite the Hanmer Springs water park. It’s is very handy for the shops and restaurants and also on the trail to the lookout point. The room was nice and met our requirements. The room had dining and a breakout area near the tv, so plenty of space. The staff were very friendly and offered us to use the hotel towels for the water park which was very kind as we had checked out.

Some of the cutlery was dirty and possibly due to previous guests. The shower is quite small and pressure a bit low.

Location was perfect, very friendly staff. Very comfortable beds and clean. Extra towels for pools were a bonus. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

Heater was making some noises it was a bit annoying when trying to sleep. The size of fridge was perfect but it freeze our food in it. Washing dishes in bathroom vanity was little hard.

Great location just 1-2 minutes from the thermal pool. Working distance to town centre and amenities. Clean and very quiet environment . Our first trip to Hamner Springs and we really enjoyed it. They have laundry facilities we did ours. Very loving host. We actually had a wee bit of mishap as our car had a flat battery and the host was very helpful and got us going with a jump start. We are so grateful for the awesome gesture.
