We recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming B&B nestled in the heart of Marlborough Sounds, and it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, the hosts greeted us warmly, making us feel right at home. The views from both the room and the deck were simply breathtaking, offering panoramic vistas of the stunning landscape that Marlborough Sounds is renowned for. Waking up to such natural beauty was truly a treat for the soul. One of the highlights of our stay was taking advantage of the complimentary kayaks provided by the B&B. Overall, our stay at this B&B was nothing short of fantastic. The combination of lovely hosts, spectacular views, and complimentary kayaks made for an unforgettable getaway. We would highly recommend this hidden gem to any couple looking for a peaceful retreat in Marlborough Sounds.

The warmhearted welcome by Debbie and Dean, the very, very tasty breakfast, the great location of the place, the wonderfull view from our bedroom to the sound,the lovely dog,the useful suggestions what to visit in the area and where the bedt cafes and restaurants are. And on top, when we forgot our walking sticks Dean was so extraordinary kind to bring them to a gas station in Richmond, so that we could pick them up on our trip to further south the next day. Everything was perfect

Debbie and Dean have the most amazing B and B. They are so welcoming and went above and beyond with their effort to make our holiday perfect. The views from the property are breathtaking. The gardens were lovely and the birdlife plentiful. The guest bedroom was a generous size including a walk-in robe, tastefully decorated with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was definitely something not to be missed.

There was absolutely nothing I disliked about my stay at Moana Haven.

Simply the most beautiful location. Only two guest rooms, both on first floor (2nd floor for Americans) with a shared tv room and full use of outdoor deck. Debbie and Dean are so friendly and welcoming; we felt as if we were staying in the home of good friends. Delicious breakfast and afternoon nibbles. Debbie makes her own yogurt, cheese, preserves and etc.

It was perfection

Along with the Trans Alpine train journey, Moana was the highlight of our visit. Debbie and Dean's attention to detail is superb, with beautifully curated breakfasts which change daily, to home made biscuits and exquisite toiletries. The immaculate home is set in tranquil and beautiful gardens with amazing views from every window. Just a short drive to the mussel capital of Havelock there are plenty of options to eat out. Blenheim is about a forty minute drive.

Nothing, it was all fantastic.

Set in a delightful panoramic vista, overlooking the Sound. There are so many different offerings laid out for breakfast that “a continental breakfast” is not a fitting description for such a wonderful and varied breakfast. Many homemade / produced items make it even nicer. We doubt anyone could get through everything that is on offer! The accommodation was first class, the bed was very comfortable with excellent quality linen. Ensuite shower room was spacious and well equipped. We even had a walk-in wardrobe! There were fresh roses and homemade shortbread in our room on arrival. If you really want to know what being spoilt is like, visit the delightful Debbie and the dependable Dean! It is obvious that Debbie cares to ensure that all her guests are made to feel at home. We will return on our next trip to NZ. Thank you both.

This place is literally 10000/10! Staying at the Moana Haven B&B felt like coming home throughout our holiday. Debbie and Dean are so lovely; we enjoyed really delicious breakfast and some fresh juice and a piece of chocolate after our biking tour and were rewarded with an amazing view. The room was exceptionally clean and the bed was so so so comfy! This place is truly a remarkable B&B; we loved to stay there and we will come back for sure!

Tranquil and very scenic location. Attention to detail like nowhere else we have ever stayed; from the amazing breakfast with homemade cheeses and breads and preserves and home grown fruits, to the carefully selected toiletries, the bed linens and furnishings. Such a lovely house and gardens. It was a pleasure to get know Dean and Debbie. They were always on hand to help but never intrusively. Would love to stay again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Debbie and Dean were amazing hosts, and Debbie served up all kinds of homemade treats for breakfast each morning including fresh eggs from her chickens, homemade yogurts and fruit chutneys,any fruits from her almost 50 fruit trees. This was a park like setting with comfortable rooms and a lounge area, a complimentary bottle of wine and cookies. The views of Pelorus Sound were perfect, and we could have spent much more than 3 nights there!

No negatives whatsoever!

Our stay commenced with a very warm, welcome. The hosts were very friendly, hospitable and always available to answer questions. Breakfast was lovely. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and had a fantastic view. Sitting rooms were available as well as on outdoor patio to sit to enjoy the view and listen to the birds. An idyllic place to stay. Highly recommend it and would return if ever passing through this way again.
