A lovely friendly, cheerful welcome from the staff after a long drive. Having the superior queen room was a Blessing, both with the spa bath and being on the ground floor. The room was fresh, spacious, clean and well appointed. Parking in front of or nearby the unit. Bella Vista is situated within easy reach of eateries and shops and the lake area. Also it is a good midway point from Queenstown, if going to Milford Sound or heading Sth, as I did to Invercargill and the Southlands area. Very friendly and helpful staff upon check as well. I thoroughly recommend Bella Vista and look forward to staying there on future trips to the South.

Great location in Te Anau, walking distance to the glow worm tour. Food and grocery nearby. Room is clean, has microwave and fridge for some essential food preparation. Bed is comfy, shower water pressure is good. Overall, good one night stay.

Bathroom / Toilet have some smell coming from below, it's fine if you close the bathroom door, but is noticeable when inside.

Very good design of the room; all facilities were well designed to fit into a motel size room. Staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful. Good location; near to every facilities in town.

Only minor concern. We had the first Unit on the top floor; all incoming/outgoing customers were passing our door; not enough privacy.

We were greeted by a the manager who was very friendly and accommodating. He let us leave our bags in reception while we waited for check in time. (We had arrived early and check in was not due to happen for at least 6 hours. After a bit of cramped travel, it was VERY nice to stand under a beautiful shower, with fabulous pressure and hot water. The manager also offered us a room on the ground level once he noticed how heavy and cumbersome our bags were. We didn’t have to ask.

Stayed here for the Kepler Challenge. Handy location to waterfront, grocery, cafes etc especially as there is a path from motel to the Gardens. Property was clean and tidy; had everything we needed. Good wifi connection. Host Michael (hope I remembered it right!) was friendly and helpful; appreciated his hospitality. Would happily book again if we find ourselves in Te Anau in the future.

Michael was very helpful and a wonderful host. Beds were very comfortable and warm and bathroom clean and modern. 5 minute walk into the centre of town.

Couldn’t fault anything

It was perfect for our one night stopover in Te Anau. Comfy beds and super clean! Location was great just a short walk to town. Special mention to Michael we had a lovely chat and he was so very helpful, friendly and full of information. He even gave us milk for our morning coffee! Thank you for a great stay!

Everything was suitable for all our family , thank you for providing us all our needs, Michael the property owner was an awesome person keep up the excellent work mate we appreciate your kindness… we look forward to see you again when we travel to Te Anau

Everything was good, no bad comments

Very helpful staff as we needed to leave car overnight when we did Milford Sound overnight cruise the next day. Clean, good facilities. Walkable into town which had a real buzz about it.

Quite expensive but it’s the gateway to Milford Sound so expected that.

Staff so helpful. The receptionist told us the best time to set off to Milford - Luckily. As we JUST got there in time for our boat trip. Lucky we didn't stop off on the way. I'd recommend allowing 1.5-2hrs drive. She also was right about the local restaurants getting booked out and gave us a heads up.
