Modern chain hotel in Central location.

Rooms are small and minimalistic but typical of chain hotels. Some flexibility needs to occur with checkin times when rooms are ready, otherwise at 2pm the foyer is overrun with people waiting to check in. It is no expense to hotel costs by allowing guests to check in at NO cost, as most go out quickly to explore town. Most other chain hotels have allowed this flexibility all through Europe with no charge. If rooms are free then don't be mean and money hungry and allow guests entry.

The hotel is modern and its location is convenient. Very close to the city center, a bus stop and two supermarkets. Snacks and beverages can be purchased at the lobby. My room was nice. I liked that the wi-fi was free and fast. The personnel was friendly and helpful.

I wish the there was an electric tea kettle in every room. You can get hot water for tea at the reception but I found it inconvenient that I had to leave my room and go to the lobby every time I wanted to make tea.

Great location, quiet hotel and rooms and very close to 7/Eleven that is open 24h a day. In case you don't want to shop there for breakfast, the hotel also has some ready made breakfast bags you can take

For comfort need to change place for eating, people use bring food and Microwave situated in resepsjon and table for eating in other side, it is very uncomfortable...

I really liked the overall vibe here. The main lobby / reception area was welcoming and also a great place to just hang out. The hotel was clean and up-to-date. I didn't think the comforter would be thick enough for an always cold person like me, but it was really warm and cozy. Also, the hotel was in a great location, a little separate from the other larger hotels in the area, so it didn't feel like everyone on your street was a tourist. Staff was always friendly and helpful too.

I knew the rooms did not have a safe / lockbox, and I didn't really need it on this trip. (Not needing large sums of cash and carrying passport for various tours.) But still, it would have been nice to have.

The location is perfect. It was excellent value for money, although I booked 6 months in advance. The room had a decent view over the port (see pictures).

When we entered the room we found it boiling hot with a bit of the window open. The heating was very high (felt like 30 degrees C in the room) and we could not decrease the from the controller. We asked reception how to cool down the room since the temperature controller was not working. She suggested we opened the window. This was very disappointing, especially from an hotel which boast to be sustainable and reduce cleaning to avoid waste. Also, I was ok with cleaning the room every 4 days, however the handsoap was not filled up, therefore after the first day we were without handsoap.

I surprised my partner with a holiday in Tromso to see the Northern Lights and picked the Comfort Hotel due to it's location and availability. We stayed for 3 nights in the region but only 2 in the hotel, this was via 2 seperate bookings, the staff were helpful in making sure we were able to check in early so we had somewhere to leave our bags. The rooms were clean and tidy and warm which was good as the temps were minus figures! The shower was hot and the beds were comfortable. We didn't require food but they had options available in reception or you could bring your own and eat in the dining area. The rooms were probably average price for the time of year, which is always expensive, especially due to the location.

Location, accommodation was just what it said on the tin - great

You need to make sure you are not overcharged. This was the negative only of our stay because we were overcharged for 2 bottles of cava - small bottles - from reception. 58O NOK - didn’t realise until I saw my bank notification - that is just under £43 sterling! I checked the next day what the price was and then explained I had been overcharged - we left that day but the reception staff said they would look into it, despite me showing them the transaction on my phone. So beware of prices and make sure you get a receipt for every transaction - I don’t tend to get receipts these days when using contactless.

Good location, easy to access all city and close to stores and market. The hotel is very comfortable, a small room but it was disclaimed before, it knew it. The bed is good for 1 person and the hotel is clean

I didn’t like the shower, the drain didn’t empty quickly, so you need to control the water flow to very slow, otherwise you flood the entire bathroom…..The water was warm but I like to take showers with a good flow of water (keep in mind that I always turn off the water when washing body and hair, so I never get the flow running non stop) and even with that the drain wasn’t working properly

Excellent location, right in the middle of the city. The room was very clean, and the staff were friendly. There isn't a fridge in the rooms but the staff kindly kept our snacks in the communal fridge overnight when we asked.

The room is good for a short stay but small with very basic amenities. Wish there was a fridge in the room to store groceries, snacks, etc. overnight, since breakfast is not available. Also, rooms are not cleaned/tidied by staff until the 3rd day, which means that for stays less than 3 days there is no room cleaning.
