Excellent location, just one block from Plaza de Armas, superb restaurants within steps from the Hostel. The staff was always ready and willing to help, extremely kind and friendly. The room had all necessary facilities and comfort, plenty of hot water. Breakfast was plentiful and adequate.

El Triunfo Hostel in Cusco is an exceptional place that far exceeds our expectations. From the moment we checked in, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They were incredibly helpful, always ready to arrange tours, book taxis, and answer any questions we had about exploring the city and surrounding areas even before our arrival. I can not say the same thing about our fancy hotel in Aquas Calientes. The rooms at El Triunfo are impeccably clean and comfortable, providing a cozy retreat after a day of sightseeing. One of the standout features is the stunning views from the rooms, where you can enjoy breathtaking vistas of Cusco's charming rooftops and historical sites. The location of the hostel is perfect – right in the heart of Cusco. It's within walking distance to the main attractions. Despite its modest rating, El Triunfo Hostel offers services and amenities that rival those of higher-rated hotels. The friendly and attentive staff, the spotless rooms, and the unbeatable location make it a top choice for anyone visiting Cusco. I can't recommend it enough and am puzzled as to why it only has two stars. It truly is a hidden gem!

We looked at dozens of hotels in Cusco before settling on Hostal El Triunfo. It had everything we were looking for! It was the perfect place to spend our first nights in Peru. Great location less than a block from the Plaza de Armas. It was very easy to get to and from the hotel throughout the day for anything we needed in our room. The bedroom heater was warm, the bed was very comfortable, and the room was very clean. Staff was very nice and helpful, and they stored our luggage after we checked out. Great views from our room and common areas. Breakfast was nice and filling, with pastries, fruit, coffee, and made-to-order eggs. Coca and tea were available any time. Shower was hot with good water pressure. The apartment has an in-room washing machine which worked great. There is no dryer in the room, but there was a clothes drying rack and there are laundromats nearby.

We stayed during the Inti Raymi festival so there was a bit of noise from the surrounding area, but we expected that and it wasn't enough to be a real problem. The noise was worth it to be so close to the festivities.

We rented apartment unit upstairs for our family and the apartment was very comfortable with 2 bedrooms and family/kitchen room. We stayed 3 nights. The view from the window we had competing with the best views we had throughout our journeys, which says a lot! Excellent location! Each bedroom has a heater, but the heater is pretty weak, takes a long time to get temperature in the room comfortable in July in mountains.

The to the hotel gets closed around 9 pm, you need to call to get it. Sometimes the response is fast, sometimes not too fast...

Very new facilities. Spacious room, good size double beds. Balcony with mountain view. Very clean. Soft and thick towels provided. Hot shower. Good locations close to the shops and restaurants. This was the cleanest hotel we stayed in Peru in last 2 weeks and the best valued one.

No electrical kettle, no fridge, no hair dryer. But this is quite normal in Peru. As we stayed for 3 nights, we bought an electrical kettle from a local variety shop for us$8, so we could have a tea in the room in the morning.

The apartment was very clean, spacios and close to the city. The staff and host were already helpful, they arrange us a very nice trip out of Cusco, and help always by some recommendation of restaurant etc. It is a secure place and very quiet. Only - first day doesn't work the water in whole house, but the staff was absolutely great - they bring us water in the big bottles and try to solve this problem. The problem was the provider of water. Next day the water works. Thank you so much for such a quick solving of problem.

Great place to stay, so close to everywhere. The room is standard but clean and tidy (they cleaned it everyday). Incredible staff with their kindness and hospitality. They stored my luggage while I was doing my Inca Trail hike and helped me organize taxi at 4.30am in the morning. And when I came to pick up my luggage and transfer to different hotel, they helped me carry my luggage downstairs and helped me find a taxi to my other accommodation. I enjoyed staying here :)

You couldn’t get more central and have lovelier staff. I stayed here twice - first time with balcony overlooking the street which was great to stand out on and watch the world go by. The second time a smaller back room, but still with a view over the cathedral. Coming back was like coming home - the two ladies were so welcoming. Breakfast is simple but perfectly adequate. I would stay here again.

There are stairs up to the hostal and I was silly enough to travel with a big bag, but a lovely American lad carried it up when I arrived and one of the hostal ladies carried it down when I left, so no issue.

We rented the two bedroom, two bathroom apartment which was very big, clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. The washing machine was a bonus. The breakfast was very good. The operators of the property are very friendly and they helped us secure drivers for two days of touring in the Sacred Valley area. Excellent location just one block from the main square. Close to lots of restaurants.

We stayed 5 nights and at least two were quite noisy with loud, live music nearby.

Central location, walking distance to everything, not too high on the hill. Our hosts were wonderful people and helped us with keeping our luggage safe while we went for 2 nights in Machu Picchu, and they also arranged airport transfer for us. The breakfast was very good, we got fresh eggs every morning, ham, cheese, fruits, fresh juices and tea.

We could hear noise/singing at night from the nearby locations.
