We visited Cusco mostly for Machu Picchu, but also visited the Sacred Valley. This hotel is in an almost perfect spot in the city, a 5 minute walk to the main square full of shops and food places, a 15 minute walk to the train station to Machu Picchu and central to all tour drop off points. When we arrived we were able to check in early, and the staff at the check in desk couldn't have been more helpful. They explained all the services the hotel provides (and theres a lot!) and showed us to our room. It was a beautiful room with an incredibly comfy double bed, beautiful bathroom and enriched oxygen in the room which really helped with the altitude. The hotel is an old refurbed historical building and is probably one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. The architecture has been amazingly maintained, and the large court yard area is a perfect quiet spot to relax with the free teas that are provided. They also have an alpaca on site in the mornings for photos and petting. The restaurant / breakfast service is incredible too, with breakfast offering a massive selection of food including a cooked-to-order egg station. If you are heading out on a tour you can ask for a packed lunch included in the room, which consisted of a nice sandwich, a piece of fruit, juice box, and a delicious made-in-hotel cake. It was the perfect food needed on the 4 hour train ride to Machu Picchu. The on site pool / spa area is also beautiful, with a hot tub, steam room, sauna, cryo-showers and heated pool. A nice quite place to relax after a long day of walking over the many many hills of Cusco. Overall this hotel is pretty perfect. Theres not one thing I can think of that they could have done better, and not a single thing that was bad. If I visit Cusco again, I wouldn't be able to stay anywhere else! PS: Theres a really cute cat cafe 2 minute walk away with adorable kittens and rescue cats that are definitely worth a visit if you enjoy that sort of thing!

Hotel is lovely, rooms are nice, I had a beautiful bathroom with a tub and a soft king bed. Staff are super friendly and it's convenient to have the restaurant (which serves buffet breakfast) and spa all in the same building. Also the little extras like filtered water on every level, oxygen in the rooms and tea available in the lobby. Location is good, not far from the main square. Some gluten free options for breakfast were available (although limited).

Price was quite high for Cusco, for both the hotel and the spa. Had a few issues with food allergies at breakfast however the staff were apologetic and fixed things quickly.

Exceptional hotel. The breakfast is amazing, with so much choice. The staff are so friendly and kind, always on hand to assist. The food is top class, we ate there both evenings, the yakitori buffet was top class. The room was nice and spacious, with a big comfortable bed and a good shower. The location is brilliant, just a short walk to the main plaza. The hotel also offer some additional extras, we joined the pisco sour class, which was enjoyable. They also have an alpaca in the courtyard for breakfast.

The only fault was that some of the facilities in the leisure centre weren't working, such as the jacuzzi and the steam room.

We stayed at the hotel after an intense hike to Machu Picchu, specifically to rest, and it was the perfect choice. The hotel was completely renovated from an old colonial-era convent. This convent, in turn, was built on top of Inca ruins, which themselves were constructed over the remnants of an earlier civilization conquered by the Incas. How do we know this? The hotel offers a fascinating daily tour of its underground areas, where you can visit the ruins and learn about the site’s history. During the tour, they explained how the hotel was meticulously renovated and rebuilt to become the stunning place we experienced, while honoring all the historical layers of the past. The room was extremely comfortable, and the amenities – shampoo, conditioner, creams, and bath salts – were of excellent quality, carefully chosen to provide a luxurious experience. Another highlight was the spacious and pleasant common area, where we could see women from Chinchero selling their handmade products and meet Panchita, a lovely llama. This common area also features a variety of plants and herbs cultivated on-site, which are used to prepare different teas offered to guests. This thoughtful detail added a special touch to the experience. Additionally, the hotel offers several amazing activities, such as cooking classes where we made ceviche using peppers grown in the hotel’s own garden, along with other fresh ingredients. The pool and relaxation area were outstanding, featuring a heated pool, hot tub, and both dry and wet saunas, providing the perfect setting to unwind. The breakfast was another highlight. We’ve never had such an incredible breakfast! We even asked for the recipe for some delicious cakes we tried, and the staff provided it to us promptly. Our stay at the hotel was absolutely perfect. The only "problem" is that it’s so amazing, you won’t feel like leaving – not even to explore the incredible city of Cusco

Located close to many shops and restaurants. Top notch service!! Great food and there was a live musician on my last night which was amazing. Spa services - a must!! And oxygen pumping in the room to help you acclimate to the altitude. Bathrooms A+. They made my bed in the morning and also had turn down service in the late afternoon with little chocolates on the beds which made my evening! Really great hotel and I think I’ll start staying at Marriott more often if they’re all like this. Ps. I did try another local hotel prior to this one and it.does.not.compare. Take the plunge and invest in a wonderful vacay by staying here.

No gym (didn’t look for one, but didn’t see one). No direct access to balcony from room. But my courtyard view was beautiful.

- Great service from staff - Really liked the short tour of the hotel, its a very interesting and pretty building - Complimentary teas etc at the entrance - Excellent breakfast buffet with good egg station - Very nice location, within walking distance of everything

- Our room would have greatly benefited from at least 1 ceiling light in the bedroom. It was quite a gloomy room as not much natural light got in

- location : close to the main square and the shops - the room size and amenities in the bathroom - luggage storage: the hotel allowed me to store my luggage 1 day in advance for my trip to Machu Picchu and when I arrived at the hotel. The luggage has been put in the room. - Staff was attentive, especially the reception

The value for money. No room cleaning until 3 pm the next day.

Location was in city center and staff were very friendly.

Was promised airport pickup but nobody showed up, had to take taxi to hotel. Also book a ride back to airport with front desk staff but nobody showed up at pickup time. Front desk had to call taxi when we complained.

The breakfast is great, but we did not spend much time there because our tours started early. Baby Alpaca visits in the morning. The Courtyard is beautiful. Facilities are very nice and provide (outside your room!) enough space for individuals. Complimentary water to refill your bottles. Polite and attentive staff.

The bathroom was quite small.

historical bldg, good atmosphere an great central location. recommend it for a couple of nights only. One should definitely split their stay up between Cusco (50%) and Sacred Valley (50%) since Cusco is loud, noisy and polluted. a couple of days in each is enough.

restaurant was pricey and service not good. soup one night was US$ 70.00 and took long, no bread even asking for it in an empty restaurant. Tons of restaurants just outside. Go out for dinner even if you’re exhausted!
