Great location and lovely staff. Very accommodating, especially with our late arrival time from Machu Picchu. Bed was surprisingly comfortable. Good price.
Bathroom was very small and shower took a bit of time to warm up.

The property is centrally located and in walking distance to Palacio de Armas. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast are is sunny and very clean. There is a kitchen and tea area that are open 24/7. You have access to hot and cold water and coca tea at all times. If you cannot finish your food, you can store it in the fridge in the kitchen area. The staff are amazing. Suly, Iris, Yudi, Yase, Orquídea and Dayana were helpful, welcoming and very kind. Staff made us a cake in honor of our dad’s birthday which was a very nice surprise and delicious.
Breakfast was good. If you have dietary needs you need to let them know in advance probably before arrival. For example, almond milk. Bathroom could be bigger. There were 4 of us with an extremely tiny bathroom and shower. Our room was rather cold however it had a heater that was turned on request.

My wife and I stayed here for a total of two weeks when we used Cusco as a base to explore the Sacred Valley. There are lots to like about this place: central location, a decent breakfast buffet (and a small breakfast pack is available if going on a tour with early morning departure), organised staff, clean rooms with nice showers, complimentary water and tea, heater in each room. We could also leave our backpacks at the posada when we went on a multi-day trek/tour.
We can sometimes hear the folks in the room beside ours quite clearly from the bathroom, but it wasn't really a problem as most guests seem to be quite quiet/considerate.

Wonderful customer service! The ladies at the reception were kind, helpful, and exceptionally warm. They made it feel like home. Suly, Sarit, and Mary gave me lots of recommendations and tips for ensuring an enjoyable and safe trip. This was especially valuable as a solo traveler. I always felt like I was in good hands with them. On one of the evenings, I wasn't feeling well and they brought me extra blankets and ensured that I had something to eat. The location is excellent! Right in the heart of Cusco. There are so many cafes, restaurants, galleries, museums, and shops right next door. There's also a grocery store across the street. There are 3 restaurants and a spa in the same building (different lots). The plaza is a 2 min walk away.
The rooms can get a little chilly but they provide a heater and extra blankets upon request. Overall a great stay.

AMAZING!!! Only a few blocks from The main Plaza de Armas is a hidden gem with the most amazing staff, cozy rooms, and a great vibe . It's not always easy to find great customer service when traveling but the staff at La Posada del Viajero were the best by FAR! From such kind smiles at breakfast in the morning before being whisked off on a magical tour to the warm welcome upon the tiresome return in the afternoon. The staff were always on point with any needs, requests, or a simple recommendation. We would get such a wonderful rest in the rustic yet warm rooms. Of course, there was plenty of hot water for all of the guests in our group and the wi-fi fully aided any work to be done and much easier. There were heaters in the rooms if needed, but the blankets were also very comfortable and warm. Also, The breakfast nook had such beautiful views of the mountains. Just so majestic. So many reasons to come back again. I can't thank your hotel staff enough. Again, most amazing customer service in all of Cusco. A big THANK YOU to Kenia, Sully, Jaseny, Ruth, Naira, Dabne, and Iris for making my Father's birthday so magical. Such a wonderful team, such a wonderful hotel.

The location is really great and close to the plaza and the terrain is pretty flat around it so no struggling walking uphill. My room was reall cozy, but you can definitely hear other guests outside. It was probably one of the best equipped room in my whole trip, as there is a place to hang your coats near the bathroom, a wardrobe, a chair and small table. Breakfast was great as well, with a lot of variety of food and toasters where you could make your own paninis.
The staff struggled a bit with English but they were very nice and we managed to communicate in the end. The shampoo and soap provided in the bathroom were not very good, so I'd recommend bringing your own or buying one across the street at one of the markets. I did get a dirty glass during breakfast by accident, but it might have been a guest who left it there.

I had an incredible experience at la posada del viajero Hostel! The staff exemplified professionalism beyond compare; even a five-star hotel could learn from them. Kenia, Suly, Yaze, Ruth you are a star! They effortlessly resolved all my concerns and went above and beyond by organizing a memorable trip for me. Their recommendation for a spa massage was divine, and on rainy days, they graciously provided umbrellas. Additionally, their attention to detail extended to ensuring my room was cozy and accommodating, and they readily supplied plastic bags when needed.La posada del viajero Hostel exceeded all expectations, making my stay truly unforgettable
Breakfast could be a bit better. I’m vegetarian so I didn’t find even an half of tomatoe:/ but it is typical for Peru. Peruvian don’t like veggies at all:(

The owner Antonella, the front desk staff Sarit and Marylin are really hospitable, cheerful and helpful in every way. Had a wonderful stay and would stay again. The Morning breakfast included 3 types of cooked eggs, fruit , breads, coffee , hot cocoa , coca tea, lunch meat and cheeses. Very nice serving staff. In a wonderful sunlit room viewing the mountains and city. The staff care for you like family.
It was cold in the room when you first got in but after the heater was turned on it warmed up. Some rooms are recently renovated, all rooms were clean and comfortable.

The hotel is set back from the street so avoids traffic noise. It was clean and has an elevator if you need one. The staff was friendly and helpful. They stored my luggage while I was on a side trip. There is a lounge area with hot tea available. The bed was comfortable as well. Breakfast was good and had several options available. The location can't be beat! Near the Plaza de Armas and many restaurants.
The area where the breakfast is served has a nice view of the roofs hills surrounding the city but it is cold, even when the heat is on. It is noisy if people leave early as they roll their luggage to the stairs.

Where to start... first, excellent location. You have everything at walking distance (cathedral, San Blas, 12 angle rock, etc); second, breakfast was excellent. You have a great panoramic view of the city from the dining area and the food was fresh; third, rooms were comfortable and with good heating. But the most important thing was the staff. You know when you have arrived at a great place when the staff takes personal care of you. My son was sick and they immediately helped us with oxygen (they have it ready for anyone experiencing altitude sickness), arranged medical visit and overall where super caring. Patrick, Gaby, Yudith, Sarit, thank you so much for your help. All of you were great! We will be referring the Posada to all our friends and family!
