There are several things that I liked about this hotel in particular. First is the location. The hotel is located very close to Plaza De Armas, there are many shops and restaurants nearby and the area of the city where it us located is clean and feels very safe. Secondly, I liked the staff, as they were very friendly and helpful. Staff also speaks English well enough. Thirdly, I liked the hotel's architecture, originally built as a monastery, and the room itself. The room was clean, spacious and a very comfy bed, and it is nicely furbished and well equipped.

There were two things I didn't like as much, but again neither is a deal breaker for me. The buffet breakfast was not the best, I would say, not only in terms of little food variety (which is not something I need in particular, but for some may be of interest), but more in terms of the tastiness and freshness of the food provided. The second thing I didn't like as much was the fact that the heating in the room didn't work. It was something I expected as some other travelers mentioned this in their comments, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. The hotel staff provided me with a mobile heating system which was enough to warm the room. However, the downside of this was that the air in the room became too dry and I had some trouble with dry nostrils and throat during the night.

We felt very good at Novotel Cusco. Very nice and elegant hotel, right in the city center. Staff was incredibly nice, always smiling and the atmosphere in the hotel courtyard was special. The breakfast was one of the best we had in a hotel. They had anything one can imagine, even ribs and soup for breakfast! Very good fresh fruits and juices, vegetables, all sort of cheese etc etc. They also offer breakfast boxes for those who have early excursions.

The Novotel staff were amazing from the moment I stepped in, we had to book accommodation for that night due to issues with our previous accommodation. They got us into our room early at 9am while we enjoyed the amazing buffet breakfast, where again the staff were attentive. Every time we walked in and out of the hotel we were greeted with a smile and hello. We felt extremely safe here and wish we could’ve stayed a few more nights!

Nothing was a great hotel and beautifully maintained

The service was outstanding especially from the door attendee. The hotel is in a beautiful colonial building with decorations all around the lobby and courtyard. The location was amazing just 2 blocks walking to the main square in the historic center and restaurants and stores all around. The breakfast was not included for us but we had it for 2 days and enjoyed the variety at the buffet. We stayed at some 5 star properties in Peru and the service here was just as good if not better.

The room was a bit outdated but for the price we paid we did not mind.

The hotel was located nice and close to the centre of Cusco. The interior was lovely and the bar / restaurant / breakfast areas were all very nice. The standard of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner (we tried them all) was excellent. Staff were kind and helpful (apart from one grouchy guy on reception)

The rooms not in the original building felt a bit generic i.e. not particularly attractive or large. However ultimately it was comfortable and clean.

Amazing place in a great location. The staff were very helpful, attentive and spoke English. We loved the courtyard which always had a great atmosphere. It could get busy and noisy at night but we couldn't hear it from our room at the back of the hotel so that was great. The breakfast options were also great and had something for everyone.

The only minor negative was the lack of electric outlets in the room (very few plugs and some didn't work). The sofa bed for our kids was not comfortable and mattress made a lot of noise.

The courtyard is so beautiful. Perfect place for breakfast or just to catch up on some wifi. The breakfast one morning with Pork adobo and corn tamales (steamed corn cakes) was my favourite meal in Cusco! So hearty, rustic and delicious! This should be added to the menu so it's available for lunch/dinner! Location is convenient, generally you can walk everywhere early. Rooms are clean. I liked the room with a double bed and more space to place your luggage. There was one which was 2 double beds combined as one bed that took the whole room, which was unnecessary and inconvenient for 1person but would be amazing for a family!

Shower in one room had a problem. This was the night after the inc trail so was very disappointing. Would have given a 10 if not for this.

Great location in the centre of Cusco. The room was big, clean, had double glazing and black-out curtains which made it very comfortable. The breakfast was great (at additional cost). There's a friendly lady with a baby alpaca that comes in the morning and you can take pictures at your ease for a tip, which was nice.

For the price we paid I think breakfast should have been included.

Walking distance to the main square. And I'm not a huge walker so when I say it wasn't a bad walk, that's a compliment. The hotel is like a quiet, safe haven to return to after dealing with crazy hawkers pestering you at every turn. We loved this hotel. The staff were all lovely people.

We were a bit perturbed to find out that for the first 3 days there (out of 6), there actually WAS NOT A CURFEW on. Staff told us when we first arrived that due to the political unrest there was a curfew. This made sense to us but we were told 5 pm to about 7 am. We couldn't understand why locals were still casually working at 4.45 pm when we were quietly making our way back to the hotel, it turns out they were concerned because there wasn't a curfew!

The entire place. Amazing building and facilities. The staff was so friendly and good server. The breakfast was delicious. Restaurant is very good. The shower is my top 3. Is near to Plaza de Armas and very nice location.

The room is so dark and cold. Water machine was inoperated from the second day until to the end. Small street, so be quickly to get or give up a car.
