It was our second time in this hotel and by some incredible coincedince we stayed in the exact room as the last time we went there, which was 5 years ago. The room was the same with comfortable beds and pillows. The decor was clean and cool and the bathroom was really nice with everything you need. But be careful with the shower because the water is really hot. All of the staff are friendly and go above and beyond to help you. The breakfast is amazing and simple but has everything that you need. But the parking space is first come first serve, it only has two spaces in front of the hotel but you can easily find other parking space three minutes away on the street in frot of the Botanical Garden. The hotel is really close to the main city attractions like the Botanical Garden, University of Coimbra etc. We definitely recommend this hotel and will stay in this hotel the next time we c9me back to Coimbra again.

While this was a little bit of a walk to the old town area, it was right by the botanical garden, so if the garden was open, you could walk through the garden. (Be prepared for hills in this town!!) Friendly staff. Decent breakfast.

Location is on a busy street, so there is a lot of street noise if you open the windows. If you opt for air conditioning, the a/c was a bit loud, at least in my room. I also had a room right by staircase, which meant I got all of the noise from the lobby, coming up the staircase. Parking was street parking a couple of blocks away. This ended up not being an issue, though.

Very helpful, pleasant and friendly staff, who went above and beyond to ensure we were happy and asked if we needed anything. Beautifully clean and very comfortable room and bed. Big bathroom, again very clean and with everything we needed. The reception staff posted my cards and gave us advice on the area.

Some fresh water in the room would have made this excellent for everything.

The hotel is situated beside the beautiful botanic garden, only a 10 minute walk to the centre. Our double room had a good size, lovely bright big windows which provided great noise isolation during the night. The beds were very comfortable, bathroom nicely renovated and everything was spotlessly clean. The very friendly and helpful reception is staff is available 24 hours. We cannot comment on the breakfast as we did not have it. But there are plenty of cafes and bars on the way to town which offer good cheap coffee and sandwiches etc. For the night time we can thoroughly recommend Bar Botanico which is just around the corner of the hotel. All in all we had a great stay at Hotel Botanico and will happily return next time when we are in Coimbra.

Clean, modern and straight forward the minimum to have a confortable stay. Breakfast is simple, but with enough options to satisfy all tastes.

The rrom was cold because we don't have control over the thermostat, is centralized. Plus, the air conditioner has a very loud noise when in stand by (is less noisy if it is working). In general, noise isolation is not good as well, you can eeasily hear your neighbors and the lift.

Our stay was great. We had to book a room late in the evening because of a change in our plans, but everything went well, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Parking was easy. The area was peaceful, and breakfast in the morning was nice. Definitely recommend for Coimbra guests.

Nothing, all was good

The staff were great! Helpful and always acknowledged us when we passed by reception. Parking was quite simple and nearby, and the rooms were basic but they had what was indicated so no surprises. Breakfast was just fine and much needed for our busy city visits to start the day. Happy to have chosen this hotel

We had a very good time. The hotel is very close to the city centre and the walk to get there is lovely. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean and well furnished. The air conditioner in the room worked perfectly. The breakfast was the only thing that could be improved, but it was still good and offered both sweet and savoury food as well as seasonal fruit.

We stayed at Hotel Botanico de Coimbra for several days in July. The hotel was well-managed, rooms were very comfortable and air conditioned, complementary wifi worked very well, and the hotel served a good light breakfast. There is a small bodega and cafe next door which made it very nice for drinks and other items. We very much enjoyed the stay and look forward to staying again in the future.

The breakfast was good and had much to choise. Located on a calm zone. The room was clean and the WC was new.

We could listen a little bit the cars sound passing by the street outside, due to the proximity of it. They should have a bigger car parking, so we could park the car near (in front of the building. there's only place for 1 car), instead parked in the street behind the hotel at about 400m of it, (in matter of fact, there was no problem about it).
