We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! Everything was amazing, from the design of the hotel, immaculate cleanliness of the rooms to the exceptional service provided by the Staff. The facilities were outstanding, and every detail was taken care of to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The live cooking, healthy breakfasts were delicious and gave us the perfect starts of days spent on exploring the beauty of Lisbon. On our last evening we got he bottle of Porto and handwritten thank you note from the hotel, which was a very nice gesture. There was no problem with leaving the luggage in the hotel before check-in hour and we could stay in the room longer, what gave us the opportunity to take a shower before a flight, what we really appreciate. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfect stay. Thank you for make our visit so memorable! <3

The hotel is beautiful in a great location, a stunning and quiet neighborhood that is not very central, but also not too far from the center and the tourist attractions. Public transportation is nearby and accessible. The room in the hotel was charming, clean, and comfortable. The interior design is beautiful, and the breakfast is delicious and indulgent. The staff was pleasant and approachable. The hotel is small, calm, and quiet. We enjoyed ourselves very much.

The bed was too small for us and the lights near the beds was too low for reading

The Design aesthetic was incredible - very beautifully set up- tasteful and in keeping with the charm of the character of the building. I had only one breakfast- it was a delight. Louiz the chef did such a beautiful bkfast spread for me- Diogo was a charming host.

The fact that there is no provision for separate quilts for 2 people sharing a bed- ideally some facility to accommodate twin beds would be good- and if that isn’t possible, they should at least provide separate duvets…

Perfect boutique hotel. We loved everything in our state: well built facilities (quality of materials used is very good), large and beautiful room, delicious breakfast, superb staff that truly cared about your experience (e.g. Adriano gave us priceless tips on cities to visit in our way to Porto). Location is amazing, we loved the neighborhood and the fact that we could go to very good restaurants and bars at walking distance is a great plus. We also liked the quietness of the place.

The hotel is in a great location, everything looks newly remodeled and is spotless. The breakfast was INCREDIBLE! Everything was made to order and served by lovely chefs/waiters. When we needed help with a taxi, they were very helpful.

The room was small and without a closet or mirror, while the bathroom was large but had a very small sink and mirror. It had 2 shower heads and a bathtub, but drainage was a problem and we saw lots of water collecting on the floor.

I loved everything about the hotel but in particular the staff.

Unfortunately my husband knocked the lamp off the bedside table and the shade broke. We were perfectly willing to pay a reasonable price to pay for the damage but were sent an invoice for 441 euros. Needless to say I was in shock and did respond as felt this was excessive so suffered the loss of 150 euros security deposit. So beware if you are clumsy.

This small, beautifully designed hotel is designed in minimalistic Scandi-style. It’s unique concept is focused on providing guests with a friendly, calm place which also cares for the environment…..we were converted to the soap shampoo bars! Bedroom and bathroom were luxurious and very comfortable; air con was very efficient. Breakfast is pre-ordered the night before from a wide choice and cooked by Wagner, the amazing chef, watched by guests. We enjoyed this experience and the lovely staff shared many tips on places to visit and restaurants to try (Tascardoso being a real find as we loved the simple but wonderfully cooked traditional food). Montecarmo12 is different. Engaging with the staff and other guests over a leisurely breakfast allowed us to have a memorable time. For those who prefer a quieter start to the day, breakfast can be served in another area than the beautiful kitchen with its breakfast bar.

As the concept of Montecarmo12 is quite unique and different, by only describing it as ‘a hotel’, allows guests to assume it has facilities big hotels provide which could lead to disappointment. Perhaps ‘Boutique Hotel’ is a better description? We loved it and applaud the staff!

Location is great! The property itself is also lovely renovated and very comfortable. The rooms are light and very modern. Really good beds!

The breakfast situation was a big let down. The quality of food was okay, but it could take up to 1 hour to get your breakfast. This is a little annoying when you want to be on your way and explore the city. They also have this fun system where you book a time for breakfast, but when you come down at your assigned time it can be full. Then you end up waiting for other guests to finish their breakfast. This is very time consuming. Very sad that such a nice hotel ruined the experienced with this. Went out for breakfast two mornings of our 5 day stay to save time.

This is a very recently furbished property and visually looks very good. The bed was large and very comfortable to sleep in. Large spacious room with lovely wraparound balcony and views to the Bridge.

A formal reception does not really exist and it is all very much closed doors making it functional rather than welcoming. A entry code was provided upon arrival and a fob in the room. The entry code stops working day 2 and a single fob is not exactly useful between two people. Breakfast is a little disappointing. Sorry guys but the chef cannot make an omelette-served as scrambled eggs.

Its a beautiful hotel, although the part that made our stay amazing were the people working here. Such a kind, hospitable, warm group of people. We really enjoyed the breakfast, but more so because of them - thank you for the lovely exchange and to the owner - keep these people, they are a gem!
