-Great value for what you get -Incredible location, don't think you could get any better -dark shutters meant no light got in at night -great AC in room -I heard no noise at all, though I do sleep with earplugs -Given bottle of water in room, TV & ours had a small balcony overlooking the square with a couple of chairs to sit out -Friendly staff, there 24/7 -Great breakkie that changed slightly on different days- juices, coffees, cereals, breads rools and slices for toast, or a toastie in the toastie maker, basic meats, cheeses, tomatoes & cucumber, plus an extra little pie/tortilla/egg, changing fruits and several changing cakes too. We're veggies, and always ate really well -Vending machines & alcohol available for purchase -lots of info on tours, pub crawls etc...though for a hostel, it was very geared towards coupes and families!
Reception on 2nd floor & our room was on 4th. It was OK for us with no suitcases but wouldn't fancy getting a big case up there! Also meant "nipping" back to our room if we'd forgotten something took an age! One day we had a late breakfast, and the cleaning staff appeared to start cleaning the rooms and every bathroom on our floor at the same time, so we ended up being stranded without being able to get a shower etc for quite a long time! Would have liked a double room with ensuite for a married couple, but not sure if these are offered, or if we just ended up missing out on booking!

We had to cancel our original stay from 2020 and were excited that we were able to book again. Communicate was excellent. We were traveling with our infant son and requested a crib or something for him to sleep in. They provided a pack n play and had it all set up when we arrived. They also offered a high chair for breakfast. LOCATION: A few steps from the Rossio metro line and close to the Rossio train station (a block or two). Located close to two squares, as well as tram, bus, and trolley stops. The squares had Christmas Markets that we enjoyed each evening. There are multiple restaurants and shops close by and its about a 15 minute walk to the riverfront, 10 minute walk to each other district(Alfama, Bairro Alto and Chiado). RECEPTION & STAFF: The reception is located on the 2nd floor and is open 24 hours. They have a vending machine with water and snacks and wine for purchase. Every staff member we spoke to or encountered was friendly and helpful. BREAKFAST: We booked with breakfast included. You sign up for a time slot, to prevent everyone from coming at the same time. They have alot of options: eggs, potatoes, tomatoes, cheese, meats, different types of breads and cakes, fruit, cereal, yogurt, a coffee machine that can make espresso, coffee with milk, macchiato, and a juice machine. There's also a panini press to make a warm sandwich. They're very efficient in keeping the food stocked and everything so clean and neat. ROOM: We booked a triple with private bathroom. It was located on the 3rd floor. We had a small hallway, which we had a key for and then our room. We never heard any noise from inside the pension (nothing above us or next to us). Our room was clean and had everything we would need: desk, chair, small closet with hangers, small safe, mini frig, microwave (we didn't use). Bathroom was well stocked. There's blackout curtains on the windows. And a flat screen TV but we didn't use it.
We didn't mind this but there is no elevator. The entrance is on the ground floor so it's two full flights up the stairs to the reception and then the rooms are on the 2nd, 3rd or 4th floors. I'd recommend not bringing a large or oversized suitcase. The first set of stairs are steep. Also the location is great but being close the square, there's a little bit of noise from outside. Nothing too loud but I'm a light sleeper and could hear chairs being moved at the cafe outside next door.

Location is the best you can find in Lisbon. I had a room with a small balcony that overlooked the square. It had a shared bathroom but it was spectacularly clean and I never faced any issues at any time. The pantry had a fridge microwave plates cutlery everything well stocked. Being a solo woman traveller I felt extremely safe at the property. It has dual lock system. One for the floor and one for the room.
It's just a recommendation to have early breakfast timing. It starts at 7.30 which is a bit late as most of the activities start at 8.00am. You are in a hurry to finish your breakfast and miss the opportunity to relish it.

The location was amazing - right in the centre with metro, bus, and tram stops nearby. The buffet breakfast had a variety of options, including meat, eggs, cheese, and fresh fruit. The main desk always had someone available to answer questions. The twin room had a lovely little balcony (just wide enough for a chair). The Air conditioning worked well. The shared bathrooms were kept clean, and we never found ourselves waiting to use the bathroom. There were kitchen facilities shared by the floor complete with fridge and stove.
Being on a main street, it was a bit noisy at night, but not bad with the window closed.

*Very good breakfasts, the menu of which is updated every other day. What does it mean: The main breakfast option remains the same, but if yesterday there was a “Tortilla de Patatas”, then today there will be “Chicken Empanadas”. * Also, for breakfast the Hotel offering not just chopped tomatoes, but also baked tomatoes with mozzarella cheese. Not only fruit (or vanilla) yogurts, but also jelly desserts and yogurt drink (in the fridge). These details are very important for those travellers who stay at the hotel for 7 days. * Incredibly good coffee! * Complimentary water and a bottle of local Portuguese wine upon arrival at the hotel :)
Room cleaning leaves much to be desired. Yes, the bed is made every day. But there was dust in the corners and under the beds for a whole week. Shabby, old bedding sets. But the staff themselves are very friendly.

Pensao Praca da Figueira is a great spot to stay in Lisbon. It is very central and close to all the attractions, and especially to metro and bus stops (here starts the bus going to the castle hill, and there is Rossio metro station just around the corner). The building is old just like every other building in Lisbon center, but is well maintained and clean. The room isn't too small, and safe. Breakfast is very nice with some options, but since the breakfast area is small, you have to book a 30 minutes time window to have breakfast in the morning. It was not a problem, though.
Nothing, everything was great

The location was fantastic and very convenient for getting around in Lisbon. One advice for future tourists is to wear comfortable and sturdy shoes while avoiding flimsy sandals. I wish we had a private bathroom, but the shared bathrooms were great! The breakfast options were great and varied. I liked that we were asked to pick a time slot for our breakfast; I thought it was a good idea!
The room was small for two people, and it would have been nice to have two tables for our bags; I used a chair. We were on the fourth floor, which made it a bit challenging to bring our bags to the room, but overall it was manageable.

Best location to all attractions in Lisbon including access to Rossio station going direct to Sintra. Breakfast is even better with plenty of choices. Staff was 24/7 and all communicated very well in English. Room was nice, clean and modern.
1) No elevator nor help in bringing our luggage up. Was with seniors and nobody was there to help. Good thing we're only staying at the 2nd floor 2) No lock in the bathroom, so for groups of 4 and 5, that is an inconvenience 3) Breakfast was limited to 30 mins only given then lack of space Otherwise, we had an amazing experience with this hotel. Highly recommended when you're in Lisbon esp with 4-5 pax in your group

Breakfast was very good -- lots of variety. Well organized. Staff were helpful with information, and helping with my luggage up the many stairs. The hotel is in the centre of things with many restaurants, a few small grocery stores, and a short walk to the river front. There is a Metro station pretty - well across the street from the hotel. I had a shared washroom. Worked out to be fine. Plenty of clean washroom facilities available.
There are a LOT of stairs to walk up. Keep this in mind when packing your luggage. Make it lighter, if you can. There can be street noise until close to midnight, depends on where your room is located, and the night (Fridays for e.g). Noise from trams, cars, etc. But some nights can be very quiet. The rooms are not soundproof; but I found most residents to be quiet by 11:00 pm.

It was clean
We were a family of four with 4 large luggages and 4 smaller luggages and four backpacks and there was NO ELEVATOR and the office is on the second floor with about 30 stairs and we had to climb all the stairs to bring the luggage up to realize there was still another two more floors we had to climb up but thank goodness the girl at the desk realized my 67 year old Father couldn't climb anymore and she gave us a room on the second floor 🥹 You have to make an appointment to eat breakfast which they did accommodate us for our time because we had to be at the airport early in the morning.
