Access to the sister hotel's pool was key for us - thank goodness it was there, small but just what you needed especially with a 14 year old lad, keen to mess around! Staff were v helpful and friendly at all times. Our room itself was great, spacious and with a fab view out into the little street below - old part of town so beautiful. Location location location - near the tiny, steep streets (bring proper walking sandals/trainers - not flip flop-friendly!), the train station and down to the town and river. Breakfast was a highlight - expensive but we loved it (just once, as great cafes only a few mins away).

The pool has a drainage point on the bottom that's a bit sharp in places around the edge - my son cut his foot. (Not badly but not ideal either).

From the moment we entered Alibi by YoursPorto we were made to feel extremely at home. The best welcome we have ever experienced. We arrived very early but Ricky spent time chatting and explaining about Alibi, it’s sister hotel and the area itself. We appreciated all the advice, recommendations and help received throughout our stay. The room was larger than we thought it would be and spotlessly clean. The hotel pool at their sister hotel, whilst only being small, was a welcome sanctuary away from the busy city. Again, we were made to feel extremely welcome by the staff. Towels provided, water and other drinks should we wish. We ate twice at the Alibi restaurant and were not disappointed. Typical Portuguese food was served to an exceptional standard. The staff, again were brilliant - Antonio (restaurant manager) and Ella were both very professional, friendly and informative about the menu and drinks - lovely cosy atmosphere in the restaurant. The wine bar at the front of the hotel was wonderful for a night cap. Bruno was very knowledgeable about the wines and ports and we enjoyed finding more out about the local wines/ports. You could also order food from the restaurant to eat at a table in the wine bar. All in all, as you may have guessed, we were very lucky to have found this amazing ‘boutique hotel’ - much better than any of the big hotels in the area.

There was nothing to dislike about the property.

The location was great - easy proximity to a lot of shops and food and the room was spacious and comfortable!

The pool which was highlighted in the amenities was not on site, a 5 minute walk away which was enough to just make it annoying enough to not go check it out. The room was always left tidy enough by the staff but didn't have the feel of being really cleaned, exactly. Any trash that obviously was trash, like a pizza box that didn't fit into the little trashcan was left out by the staff after they cleaned our room. So it wasn't a big deal but didn't feel the way I think it should feel when you come back to your room after a day out exploring.

Clean, presentable room and corridors. Very friendly host, extremely welcoming and very helpful with everything, where to go, where to visit and explore (e.g.) the place to go to get the best city views without any cost, recommendations for places to eat and drink, restaurants suited for all diets and the best wineries in the area. The host had taken time with us to explain all of this, as much time as we needed any questions to answer and a complementary drink and snack to help us feel welcome and relaxed.

The pool is not in this actual accommodation building, it is at another location around 5 minutes walk away. A code is given to enter. Very clean but just a slight inconvenient to have to walk to another location to use the pool. I would have been beneficial to have a small fridge in the room. Not the best if you have a car, it is a bit cheaper to park on the other side of the river and walk over.

The hotel was everything we could have wanted and more. The rooms were spacious (more spacious than some photos suggest) and very comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and modern and good quality towels were provided and replaced during our stay. The beds were extremely comfortable and bed linen was top quality. We really enjoyed our rooms being cleaned daily. Ricky was exceptional. He was so attentive, friendly, welcoming and his communication with us prior to and during our stay was top tier. We were a large group of 16 ladies with lots of needs which were all answered quickly by Ricky and his team. The location of the hotel was great, everything is in walkable distance and there are fantastic restaurants very close by.

There was nothing we did not like about the hotel.

Amazing room in the very heart of Porto! Wr had a cozy room with a small balcony and a perfect view! Thera are many cafes and restaurants around, the entrance to the hotel is also through the bar and a restaurant, perfect place! Ricardo Filipe serves perfect breakfasts in Alibi restaurant, book it a day before!

The sofa is not comfortable to sleep on. The room is great for 2 persons, but not for 4, otherwise 2 persons will have to sleep on uncomfortable sofa. The pillows are different, some of them are too big and too stiff, they cause neck pain in the morning.

I liked: - location is ideal to visit around by foot - reactivity of the staff - self check in - the bedroom

I didn’t like: - the noise of the restaurant and bar downstairs (owned by the same owners). Noise due to clients, music, restaurant air extractor, changing room of the staff on the guest’s floor... - the breakfast: not a buffet, no eggs, mostly sugar and too small

Location could not be better, centre of town, close to the beautiful old station, 5 mins walk to the underground. The rooms are above the Alibi restaurant and wine bar both of which are beyond excellent. The view from the wee balcony and window was wonderful. Cleanliness and care from staff also wonderful. Ricky our host and his team went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect.

The only thing we could have enjoyed better would have been a broader choice for breakfast. There is lots of bread or different types for breakfast and smaller amounts of ham and cheese, but our personal preference would have been better fulfilled if there had also been a boiled or scrambled egg option ( but that is just us!!) the breakfast was fine - and held us together well for our busy days out.

We really enjoyed our stay at Alibi, the staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating on arrival. We stayed in room A6 and it walk great, really spacious and had a nice view over the rooftops of Porto. The bed was comfy and the facilities were nice and clean! The location was great too, just a minute or two from Rua das Flores and not far at all from the Ribeira! We didn’t get a chance to eat in the restaurant but had a lovely glass of wine in the bar. I noticed a few reviews mentioning a lot of noise from the restaurant but we couldn’t hear a thing in our room, was nice and quiet at night and the AC made a big difference too! Would definitely return to Alibi!

The only thing I wasn’t a huge fan of was the pool in the other property, it felt it could have done with a little clean, but otherwise our stay with Alibi was fantastic!

We had the top 3rd floor room, wonderfully quiet, high ceiling, spacious room and bath. Lovely light coming through the window and view of the city. DIdn’t hear a thing all night even though there is a restaurant on the ground level. Great bed. We were greeted and given a detailed orientation to the city, great eating suggestions and touring tips. Couldn’t have been happier.
