Location. The room 6 was quiet and I was happy to see the sky from the window. Breakfast was good and has many things to choose of, but tomato or some greens would make it even better. I could check in earlier which was great. All the sfaff members were friendly.

I would not have needed cleaning and changing the towels every day, that feels unnecessary but I understand it is a common practice and the people cleaning and washing need work. But also washing towels ever day consumes water and electricity. Nowadays in many nordic hotels they do not clean the room every day unless asked to. And in many hotels the towels get changed only of they are thrown on the floor.

It was the best stay we could have asked for in Porto! The property in itself has that old Porto charm and at the same time has all the modern amenities. It very comfortable and the room has one of the best views of Porto. The owners are really kind and were available for any questions we would have . They would also make sure that the breakfast was ready every morning by 8 AM. Since there is not enough space for all people to have breakfast at the same time , there are 2 slots for it . So, we needed to make sure that we signed up for the next day slots every morning. Specially if you have an early tour or something. But, again , it’s really flexible , so even if there’s no space , you can just grab and go and come back later . :) All in all, it’s been a great experience.

There’s no elevator but that’s the charm of living in an old establishment , so really not a factor.

I loved that I was in the middle of (walking distance) to all the attractions I wanted to see. I liked that a laundry maté was next door. There were so many good restaurants within a 2-minute walk. Being a single female traveller, I felt safe walking alone at night, and building security was good. My room (with ensuite) was clean and spacious, and the kitchenette suited my needs. I enjoyed that breakfast was in a shared space, so I could talk with other diners. Breakfast was standard but the pastries were fresh that morning.

The back-alley neighbours were noisy in the middle of the night. The handrail on the first flight of steps was unsafe (I hope this has now been rectified).

Location is great -- walkable to all of central Porto's main sights, communication was clear and specific, minimalist space felt fresh and was immaculately clean, and there were a surprising number of amenities in my small room, even a miniature kitchen creatively designed to fit into the wall. Continental breakfast selection served in the common space on the main level was of good quality -- lovely pastries brought in fresh -- although I would have liked to have had the option to have it before 8 AM, as I had to leave for the airport and was only able to grab a yogurt on the fly. Another advantage is a closet under the stairs on the ground floor with a key-coded entry where you can store your luggage if you arrive before check-in or after check-out.

The biggest downside was that there was no air conditioning in my room (#4). That is the only reason I didn't give a perfect score. Fortunately it was not excessively hot while I was in Porto, and the ceiling fan took the edge off for sleeping, but had it been any hotter, I would have been very uncomfortable. It would be beneficial to install a mini-split type A/C on the wall. Also, guests should be aware that there is no lift, and the stairs to the rooms are very steep. Pack light!

The room is compact but very well designed . There is a built in kitchen. The location is fantastic. Close to Livraria Lello and some great restaurants and bars. The style is industrial, plywood and concrete. Original art works on the walls.Art books available to read. Breakfast is pleasant, fresh juice, fresh pastries, fruit, and a coffee machine. No staff on-site but they come in to make breakfast. Storage room for luggage if you arrive early or leave after checkout.

Nothing. Just need to be aware that there is no lift and the stairs are steep, and the rooms are compact.

This place was amazingly quiet for being located in the heart of old town. The tiny cobbled pedestrian street was so pittoresque. The staff was so friendly and willing to please without being invasive. And breakfast! Homemade, original, delicious and respectful of the environment--what more could one ask?

It was a bit expensive, the tiny balcony wasn't usable and being just across from other apartments and bright streetlights made it uncomfortable to open the curtains

Excellent location that enables you to walk around all the tourist attractions. Close to metro/train station. Really useful to have the luggage storage ahead of check in hours (or after checkout) so you don’t have to drag your luggage around. Our room (Room 5) had a nice view of Porto. Simple but nice breakfast, we really enjoyed the fresh bread and pastries from a bakery in the morning.

The bathroom glass door wouldn’t close fully, but somehow it also made a loud sound when sliding and closing itself if you left it partially opened.

Easy to find and very central location with cafes/restaurants all within easy reach and near main tourist sites in Porto. The room was a good size and although basic had all the facilities needed and all in good working order. The breakfast had a good range of cereals, bread and pastries with fresh orange juice most mornings.

Overall happy with the hotel and feel we got good value for money

Perfect location for the hotel, staff were always extremely helpful. Room was very nice and kept clean. Hotel stored luggage before and after check in/check out which was also very helpful. Great breakfast. There is also a laundry service beside the hotel. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

I find the double bed small.

The location. The guy that tried to serve us breakfast before 8.00am. We didn't manage to pay the City tax via card :( and he was still very polite cause we had 0 cash. He prepared us breakfast at 7.30 while the regular hour starts at 8am. For me it's crucial to be welcomed by nice people. Then the property is up to us to check everything carefully. .

For one evening it's acceptable, but it's a tiny room, with tiny windows, no natural light. So for claustrophobic people, think twice. Carefully with the bathroom as it can flood due to its style. Usually I get better room for the money I paid but since war and everything, there is no such thing as a good deal nowadays. For breakfast I would love to try it but since they serve from 8 onwards...
