The staff is very nice and friendly. The room is good in size, clean. Wonderful location. Great view of the embankment and the sea. Excellent bed. Good choice of TV channels.

There is a slight but noticeable musty smell in the room. And there are very few sockets in the room.

I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend it to others. My room was newly renovated and had excellent sea view rooms.

I don’t like that the price of the spa isn’t included with the rooms

The location is of course exceptional. There is a private beach nearby (Le Temps d'un Été) which is comfortable and beautiful and about 30 euros per person for the day for a chair. Given that I don't like fighting for chairs and parasols, the reservation system is beautiful. The hotel is just okay.

Smelled a little musty, and décor is out of touch. Lobby could also use an upgrade as the little wooden reception counter makes it look like a Motel. In dire need of an update for all their paint, tiles, bedding, curtains, etc. A little remodel will go a long way to match the location, and to match the pricing. I know that it's Nice, but still, I would like to feel not in the early 90s for $3500 for 2 nights (Family of 5).

Excellent choice of breakfast. Good customer service from staff. Very comfy bed. Good location.

Disappointed to have to pay extra to use pool and steam, 25 euros for an hour is a bit steep as usually included free for hotel guests.

Breakfast was wonderful. Bar staff was great, as were the drinks! Bed, pillows and linens were very comfy.

The bathroom in 401 was much smaller than 404 - I realize there is not anything to be done about that though. Also, neither of these room has what I would call a "city view" There was not a view of anything really. Might be better to be more clear about that up front. I would have booked an ocean view if I would have known the city view was just the back of a building.

The comfort of the room. Balcony looking to the mountains and to the Promenade. Excellent breakfast room and choice of food/drink. Excellent staff - ,friendly obliging. Beautiful bed and spotless bedding.

The bath/shower was a let-down. The shower was an overbath arrangement. The bath was very high and quite difficult to get into . My husband is 81 and I was coming up to 79 years of age. The shower head leaked all around the rim of the bath. The taps on the sinks also leaked. A bathroom fit for a refurb I feel. I also was not keen on the fact that you had to leave the separate toilet and go into the bathroom to wash your hands.

Rooms were comfortable and lots of space. Bathroom also large and clean. Shutters great for total black out and enjoyed being able to open window for fresh air. Hotel situated right on the beautiful promenade. Short walk to old town.

Surprised that such a hotel had no dressing gowns and slippers? Once out of the shower I was freezing with nothing to keep me warm. Strange to have the first day complimentary water and then all other days you pay for your water. Not appropriate for a 4 star hotel. Would also appreciate hair conditioner in the shower. This is often missing in many hotels these days.

The location is wonderful and our room was lovely. We paid extra for a superior room and had a view of the sea, the promenade and the busy street scene which was amazing to watch. Breakfast was good although a tad limited but certainly enough choice. The hotel building itself is beautiful. The staff were very helpful and polite. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The staff are fantastic! And the location was perfect for my event. It's opposite the beach, and a minutes walk to the back streets with plenty of restaurant options. It has a good bar with a lovely view to relax in the evening, with a live band.

We were competing in Ironman, and stayed in a sea view room. In hindsight this was sub-optimal, as although the hotel has gone to a lot of effort to reduce the noise from the street, as we are light sleepers, we could still hear some of the heavier / louder vehicles. The room had electric shutters, thick triple glazed windows and heavy curtains, but some sound still leaked through. In future I would request a non sea view room, as they are at the back of the hotel which I suspect may be quieter.

All the staff are well established and have been there a long time, this demonstrates ownership which both cares for its staff but also considers consistency and quality paramount for its guests over profit. Staff are excellent, accommodating, and happy, willing to go that extra mile to make guests stay memorable. Decor is the right balance of traditional and modern and highlight original features of the hotel architecture in a complimentary way. Views from the sea view rooms are epic. Beds are literally comfiest I’ve ever slept in punching well above their price grade. Bar and restaurant are really reasonable priced and good quality range of products. Reception staff and concierge are a particular strength and credit to the hotel.

Spa pool could do to be a few degrees warmer, I’m guessing it might have been heated but was not working when we stayed? Glass lift door was smashed but safe, that said, it’s an unusual shape so I’m guessing it’s something which has either been ordered or takes a while to be manufactured or there is a significant cost involved with replacing - personally I was not concerned as we have stayed before, but would urge caution of ensuring you create the right first impression for someone staying for the first time….there’s every possibility it’s already been replaced as I write this though so don’t let this put you off! It’s a minor thing.
