Great staff (both pre-visit and during stay) - friendly and willing to help. Hotel very busy but I wasn't rushed or made to feel a nuisance. Great location for SEC events and some of the museums/science centre etc. Comfy beds. I wasn't able to make use of hotel's facilities due to time but several on offer from pool to salon. Easy to get to and easy to park (though it cost to do so). Surprisingly quiet at night for a busy hotel in a city.

Room service - charged £5 to deliver; not obvious from menu how to order and 'room service' button on phone didn't work. Had to go down to reception to order which defeated the point of being able to stay in room. One meal excellent, the other was a bit cold and chips were like oven chips (though burger very good). Lifts took ages to come (one out of order) and hotel was busy. Pillows not comfortable (but I'm fussy about that! - guest slept well).

Proximity to the hydro - excellent location for attending a concert. 20- 30 minute walk into town centre or a short walk to train station which will deliver you into town in a couple of minutes - train ticket prices very reasonable. Lovely bar with attentive and friendly staff. Lounge access with our room was good but spoilt by greedy uncivilised people stuffing bottles of wine and beer into bags to take away and getting drunk at the same time.

Breakfast could be a whole lot better. Buffet style with a menu but the menu is taken away when it's busy so you get a very reduced choice for the same price.

The room was very comfy and had a decent view. The breakfast quality was very good, as per usual for the Crowne Plaza. Location was decent if one wishes to walk or grab a quick taxi within the West End of Glasgow. Staff was always extremely friendly and helpful when necessary.

The room upon entering required some extra cleanup as there was some food detritus left behind from the previous patron, but this was quickly corrected. The bed I was sleeping in was broken in several areas (mattress springs most notably), but the hotel was kind enough to refund my night and provide me with a new room come morning. My particular compliments go to the Night Manager Frank who was extremely helpful and professional.

From the moment we arrived and greeted by Mohamed, to day we left it was amazing. All the staff from reception, breakfast chefs and waiters and waitresses to evening meal all the staff went above and beyond. The Spa and pool was an added bonus and definitely worth the money. Room service was excellent, the room was immaculate with amazing view of the river Clyde and BBC studio which when lit at night was as spectacular as the Armadillo and SEC complex. We used the train which was a 5 min walk mostly under cover, from £2.40 for 2 adults return to Glasgow City Centre. Everything was absolutely amazing and we’re currently planning our next trip.

On this occasion absolutely nothing

Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the lovely staff, including Maria and Mohammed, who were exceptionally attentive, warm, and cheerful. Check-in was seamless, and we were in our suite within minutes. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The swimming pool was delightful—warm and inviting. Breakfast offered a good variety of options, and the service was excellent. Attul, in particular, went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed. The hotel is conveniently located just across from the science museum, making it a great choice for families. We highly recommend it!

The breakfast could benefit from more vegetarian options, a better selection of cheeses, and perhaps some pancakes for the kids. Additionally, the changing rooms by the pool would be even more convenient if they included a swimsuit tumble dryer.

Room was clean, bed comfortable. Very quiet area since I like to be able to get a good night sleep when I travel. Only a few minutes downtown in taxi. I was traveling with a friend. We had booked a therapy at the spa and we used the pool area twice. Breakfast was really good and every member of staff was really polite and helpful

The elevators were slow and the biggest elevator in the middle seemed to get very easily overweight. It said 1000 kilos but seemed to handle a lot less. It didn´t give you any notification other than it just did not close the door. We ended up using the stairs once because of this.

Very clean friendly hotel, staff went over and above to ensure that our stay was as comfortable as possible Due to freezing temperatures we were a little cold, staff found a heater and delivered it swiftly Food at night was also good, we just wanted wraps and beers, perfect Breakfast was exceptional, the best breakfast I’ve had in any hotel, nuts, seeds fruit and yogurt was freely available as well as a selection of teas, bread, continental and cooked breakfast Staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble I used the spa facilities, pool, steam room and sauna again all very good, towels were freely available as was shampoo and body wash

On our arrival the check in staff were very friendly and efficient.Our allocated room on the 14th floor had a wonderfull view of the River Clyde and was spacious clean and comfortable and we both slept well. The breakfast selection was fresh ,varied and tasty,we particlarily enjoyed the haggis.We enjoyed the long walk into Glasgow.

On our arrival the car park was very busy and it was raining heavily, we were parked further from the hotel entrance but there is no walkway through the centre of the car park and if you are carrying bags you cannot walk between the cars so you have to walk around dodging the cars trying to park.The parking is expensive and open to the elements, many of the city centre hotels offer reduced rates in the multistorey NCP car parks making them no more expensive. I found it annoying that some people seemed to have been given complimentary parking and others not.Problems with the lifts during our stay really dulled our enjoyment of the views from the 14th floor.

Booked this stay for a concert at the hydro, it’s great to be so close to the concert venue and your in your bed in about 20 minutes, the bed was comfy with a good size bed, the room was a great size and even had a mini bar (not stocked) in the room if you wanted to keep your drinks cold. I had breakfast in the morning with a great variety of food from cooked breakfast to cereals. I also made use of the pool facilities as it came with the stay and was great to have a swim and use the sauna and steam room. Great views over the Clyde and I loved how decorated it was for Christmas Staff were very friendly as well

Didn’t have any issues at all with the stay

The service provided was excellent despite an initial problem. I attended for a busy global dental conference. Initially they had overbooked the rooms and I did not have a room for my first night. The hotel arranged a room in another nice hotel 10 minutes away which I was not happy about particularly as it was my birthday the following day. I explained this to the manager Nikos, who gave me the first night free of charge and arranged transport to and from the other hotel. On my return the following day, I was upgraded to a suite with free minibar and access to the lounge. The team wrote me a nice note for my birthday with a small box of chocolate truffles which I thought was a lovely touch and a mark of great service. Mistakes happen occasionally, how they are dealt with after is what is important and Nikos and his team did a great job of rectifying the issue.

They overbooked the rooms due to a busy conference but made up for it after.
