Everything was amazing and breakfast had all the options. Lots of eating and drinking options and a great pool.

They need to be selective in allowing private functions. A 12 hour rave party is too noisy for guests who are paying for five star hotel experience.

Overall we were very happy with the staff at the entrance, reception staff and room service. The staff who attended to the room cleaning always did an excellent job. Dinning room staff were better after we bought up lack of service to the management. The food was excellent the pool was very clean.

The behaviour of a dinning room reception staff member was not acceptable. When complained to the relevant managers it was corrected promptly. We really appreciated and found the dinning room staff excellent after that.

Nice decent size room with a swimming pool right in front of the lake and the view of the Lotus tower. My main highlights were the breakfast and dinner. The wide variety and selection was out of this world and you get to try different cuisines as well. By far, the best restaurant I've been to in a hotel. Breakfast has a variety of European and Asian selections which was a nice touch. Also, it's location in downtown Colombo is great which is just a few minutes drive to the shopping mall and the Lotus Tower.

The check-in was way too long and they took more than 30 minutes considering we were tired after our road trip from Mirissa. The shower head in the bathroom was broken as well as the bathtub drain stopper, so I couldn't take a nice bath unfortunately which I was really looking forward to.

From the first moment onwards, we felt very welcomed. Any staff was on point. The room was great. WiFi worked. All facilities at the hotel convinced us. The gym is in good condition, with staff around to approach. Same with the pool. It’s long enough to really take a proper swim. They even offered us swimming equipment for our junior. Our highlight was the food: We had half board, and the breakfast as well as the dinner buffet were amazing. And there are enough other options aside from the buffet restaurant for an afternoon snack or anything else. We’ve been at some hotels already in Colombo, but Cinnamon Lakeside definitely was outstanding. We will return!

It didn’t bother us, but the shallow area at the pool is still quite deep, that our 3 year old couldn’t reach the ground. We were not allowed to swim while rain (no thunder, only rain). There’s a dashboard in the room to switch on and off the lights. That was a quite interesting setup.

It was a great location by the lake in the heart of Colombo. Staff were great and very hospitable. Facilities were good. Receptionist Sajali was great, very helpful, and very professional. I was impressed by her attire and the presentation as the welcome face of the hotel.

Perhaps the buffet breakfast could have been better. It's a bit disjoint. Needed more of a floor of each type of food and the food on offer itself. It's not a great variety, and the standard could be better. The bed linen needs replacing. It seemed to me they are quite old and worn out. In addition, the pillows are too big for my liking. Therefore, sleep was not that comfortable. Otherwise, the bed/mattress itself was comfortable.

I liked the pool area and sun loungers, I also want to highlight the dinner buffet, it’s very good, I recommend checking it out! and in general, even the food in the room was very tasty and there was a good choice. The room was very cozy and the layout was well thought out.

there is carpet in the rooms and it is no longer fresh, no matter how the cleaning staff cleaned it, it’s just tired and it makes you want to sneeze from time to time, I think it’s time to replace or get rid of this covering. Also, some lights in the room were not on, apparently it’s time to check and change the light bulbs.

The quality of the room and the comfort of the mattress quality was beyond our expectation. The lake view was exceptional. Each and every staff member were very friendly and attentive to small details. We had dinner and lunch at The Dining Room restaurant. This particular restaurant staff were amazing. Mainly, the staff member illankoon guest service was superb. He even offered a pillow to one of my kid have to her meal comfortably. He even offered a Green Tea after our dinner was a personal touch. Overall this hotel stay was great.

Great buffet breakfast. Comfy bed. Lovely big pool right by the lake. Worth having the lake and pool view and can also see the luminating lotus tower at night. There is gym and steam and sauna room in basement. There is bistro by the pool, thai and Chinese restaurant if one does not fancy buffet dinner. We enjoyed the bistro and the thai restaurant very much. Also enjoyed the library lounge. Excellent relaxing resort in the city.

The music at the bar/club is a bit loud at night.

The staff is wonderful and they help you in every possible way... Unfortunately I didn't receive a lake side view room. But the rooms as well as bathrooms were spacious and neat. And it's centrally located so that's another big plus... All in all a nice location but a bit pricey

The room was noisy due to a continuous thumping sound from the celebration in their event hall.. so that was a nuisance. Also, the room was too chilled even after putting off the AC. So, I couldn't sleep for several hours.

Suite on upper floor - changed original allocation which was handled very well by front desk - good sized balcony and view over lake and of the Lotus Tower. Food options very good for both breakfast and dinner. Dinner particularly offered super range of international food which was excellent opportunity to sample new foods. Coffee shop on lower ground floor - again good food options and take away - very good coffee. On same level a hairdresser and beauty salon - good manicurist and value for money. Travel office here too who organised several very good tours for us. Location of hotel is excellent .
