The hotel has wonderful ambience and the room was huge. Staff everywhere except the restaurant were excellent

The restaurant lets the hotel down hugely - breakfast is not good value for money and the staff in the restaurant are not very friendly or helpful at all

The bed was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was clean. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful despite the busyness. The location was the main reason I chose this place. It's close to eateries, MRT, and shopping malls.

I have always been staying in Village Hotel Albert Street when I am in Singapore. There is a price hike after Covid. I hope the room rates can be lower, especially for Malaysians like me.

Wonderful location, charming building. Very close to little India and walking distance to lots of facilities and malls. The staff were wonderful and couldn’t have been more helpful - especially Syed and Jamal, who were so lovely when I was dealing solo with toddler and newborn: they brought me coffee and snacks for my daughter. Thank you!

The pillows!! Sounds like such a small thing but they were so high that I ended up making a pillow out of a sweater. Everything else was wonderful

1. staff- after more 12 hours continuous journey, children were so exhausted. there was a gentleman looking after luggage's (sadly didn't get his name) who was so accommodating. as it is early (8Am) and far from check in time, he offered washroom to freshen up and lobby to rest a bit. he was very kind and considerate. As children ended up dozing off on the couch, before 10AM Syed Aleedroos from the reception/check in, approached us to say, they managed to get us a room earlier and got my kids to properly rest. That gesture meant a lot for travelling families. Syed has been very kind and considerate too, same as housekeeping staff. kind and attentive but not intrusive. 2. facilities - its basic but everything you need for a short stay. we stayed for 4 days and never lack anything. just perfect 3. location - its near groceries, not too far from airport and few steps out are restaurants and shops. its pretty center 4. bonus is: theres a Pubs with outdoor sitting just as you walk out of the hotel entrance. we even thought its part of the hotel as it is on the hotel strip. we love the place and will stay again if we return to SG.

Breakfast had a good selection for our family with young kids. Hotel rooms were spacious and the hotel fulfilled our request for connecting family rooms, which we we very grateful for. The beds were comfy and there was good storage space. Staff were polite and friendly. The hotel was in a great location for the metro (Rochor station was a 5-minute walk from the hotel).

Our family rooms (214 and 215) were above a live music bar which was very loud and noisy and on two of our 5 nights went on until around 1 am. If you are traveling with young children going to bed early and don’t need interconnecting rooms, we would recommend asking for a room in a quieter part of the hotel. Nevertheless, we highly appreciated the spaciousness of the two interconnecting rooms and we all slept well after the long sightseeing dates.

Location was quite central and nestled between 2 MRT stations: Rochor and Little India We were able to walk to most places with ease. Found food nearby easily. For those who are adventurous, it took us about 40-45 mins to walk from Lau Pa Sat to the Merlion to the hotel. We had many stops to take in the sights and area of interest.

There were no pool and their jacuzzi tub was closed when we were there.

Amazing location ,very central to RMt ; very kind and thoughtful staff ! Liked the variety in breakfast and the strong local colours in flavours !

Staff were great. I had a team member named Aghilain check me in, extremely friendly and quick to help. The room was very comfortable and quiet. Additionally they provide umbrellas which was very convenient with the crazy weather. The hotel is really close to Rochor MRT and Little India.

The people who work there were friendly. The room was spacious, the beds were comfortabele with 2 pillows per bed. The buffet breakfast was good. There were enough tables and the hotel employees kept it clean. Good location, 5min walk from blue MRT line Rochor station.

The family room that we got was on the 2nd floor above a nightclub. Tuesday and Wednesdays they have Ladiesnight. The rest of the week there is loud rave music. This goes on every day past midnight.. There are bars on the ground floor with seats outside. So be prepared for noise. After complaining about the loud noise, we were assigned a better room on a higher floor. The hotel employee was helpfull and helped us move our luggage. Rooms located on higher floors don't have the noise problem. Our new room was facing the street. Uet, no streetnoise, so that was great. The noise from closing hotelroom doors in the hallway woke me up every morning. The sound can be pretty loud. So bring earplugs.
