we loved the location with the river running behind the property, the views and sound whilst having our morning coffee was amazing. The location was short drive to Yosemite NP.

our pillows were small and flat, leaving us with sore necks. The towels were old and tattered. the staff were unable to explain the payment correctly, leaving us unsure of when we will be paying for the property. As we are from a different country it was difficult to ensure the correct money was ready for the payment.

Lovely room, clean, good bar and restaurant. Location.

I'm sorry to go on about this but there is a "passive aggressive" attitude towards tipping in most U.S. restaurants. Tipping has gone from a nice gesture by customers to staff hovering over you with a piece of paper "suggesting" you tip them 20,22, or 25%, and if you don't you get obvious disappointment. I am considered generous in the U.K. because I always tip good service10%; most people don't tip at all. But in the U.S. I up treated like a lepur when I do this. This restaurant was as guilty as many others. We met an Australian gentleman who was particularly angered by this. Perhaps American employers should pay their staff properly like they do in Europe and Australia. Otherwise this is a terrific place to stay; top notch!

Great location.

Everything was added cost. You paid extra for internet, breakfast was close to $30 a person, salad with dinner was extra, laundry cost was more for dark loads than white loads.

loved the view of the raging river and the location to Yosemite valley! the pizza was also good.

For the price, I think there should be at least free Wi-Fi in main areas and restaurants if not also in your room. You will not have cell service due to the location, but Wi-Fi is kind of a modern necessity for looking up tours/info/directions and for the price you’re paying, you’d expect some included access.

Super close to the Park Entrance; the closest accommodation just outside the park. The Game Room on-site had a good selection of games; the pool table was a fun, safe, no pressure environment to teach my son how to play pool. The Merced River was lovely. Kitchen in the room was adequate, but there is no oven so plan accordingly if you intend to cook there. The mini-fridge had a small freezer, perfect for burritos, burger patties, and ice cream bars, but cannot fit a pint of ice cream in there. Dishes and utensils are included. There is a restaurant on-site but check the menu beforehand to make sure any dietary requirements or restrictions can be met. There is a convenience store on-site as well, but prices are typically higher than a grocery store (and about the same prices as at the Yosemite Village Store). Room is simple, clean, and comfortable. Bathroom is clean and appeared newly remodeled.

Restaurant on-site is helpful, but the Pizza Place was closed the whole time we were there for no stated reason so that threw off our dinner plans. Cellular service (Verizon) was spotty (only 1 bar) likely due to geography, so messages, photos, websurfing is slow... Let family members know you might not get their texts or calls in a timely manner so they don't worry about you. Cellular service in the Yosemite Valley is much better.

Very close proximity to Yosemite National Park. Reasonably priced, for California, gas station just down the road. Large market store. Two restaurants on site were great evenings we were too tired to cook. Parkside pizza was delicious. Laundry facilities on site very useful and convenient. Limited housekeeping services only by request which we didn’t mind, front desk accommodating for towel, blanket and toiletry needs for my family of 6 during our weeklong stay. Not all rooms have Merced River views but all guests have sidewalk access to river seating/patio area.

Some room/bathroom finishes outdated and in fair condition. Kitchenettes were nice to prep meals each day but even up on the third floor we experienced ant problems with our groceries. Would recommend better IPM program to control ant problems.

It’s a little community. The game room was fun 🤩! If we had kids it would’ve been even better. Location to Yosemite was a lot closer than my Google map said. We were on the ground floor and our patio was amazing next to the stream/creek. We were naughty and opened that window so we could hear the water and had the fireplace on for ambiance. The room was spacious and comfortable.

The beds are super hard, the shower/tub is very dated and needs new caulking. The fire pits near our room were mostly broken, 1 out of 3 was operating. Restaurants on sight are not very yummy and overpriced. Our kitchen was missing plates. Only bowls available.

Location was perfect. 5 minute drive from entrance to Yosemite. Hotel had clean bathrooms, kitchenette with supplied with basic pots, pans, cutlery, plates, and bowls. King Room had electronic fireplace that heated the room very well. Balcony view was breathtaking!! Having coffee in the morning with a view of Merced River will be most memorable. Staff at check in was extremely nice - Chris was an extremely friendly front desk staff and offered his favorite things to do inside Yosemite. Hotel facilities included pools, lounge areas, and the River Restaurant.

As many people have said - no wifi included. $10 for 24 hrs for only 2 devices (no changing devices). No cellular signal around hotel. This trip however is a place for us to unplug and enjoy nature.

I travelled to Yosemite View Lodge with my husband and two children aged 11 years and 16 years old. We had an excellent stay! The best thing about the lodge is it's just a 5 minute drive to the El Portal gate at Yosemite National Park. It means that you can be in the park bright and early with no need to do the long 30-45min drive from Mariposa or similar first, avoiding the long summer queues and lack of parking once inside the park. We are not super early risers but found that even an 8.30/45am arrival at the park visitor centre meant an availability of parking (particularly on a weekday). The accommodation itself is comfortable with a large family room with two large beds, kitchenette with small fridge & hob, a small dining table chairs and armchair. We requested a river view room which we got! We had some of our meals or a glass of wine on our huge terrace with outdoor table and chairs overlooking the stunning Merced river. There is a small grocery shop attached to the reception area which was reasonably priced for all basic needs, and our kids loved the 3 outdoor pools though they are a little small (there is also an indoor pool for colder months). The laundry room is cheap and a very useful especially after a few days on the road! We had pizza from the takeaway on site one evening, and a lovely meal at the restaurant on our final evening. Overall a fantastic stay!

The rooms and bathrooms are quite dated. They could definitely do with an update! The temperature of the air conditioner was hard to control and was either too cold or too warm! It could also do with an upgrade.

The location just outside the National Park was excellent and couldnt be beaten for a similar price and quality of facilities. Despite some reviews, we found the accommodation to be of a good standard, our room was clean and well presented, the on site laundry facility worked well for us on our road trip and the swimming pools and gym provided additional activities on site.

The on site restaurant served better food than we expected but added a charge for debit cards whilst only stating that the levy would be for credit cards - we hadn't experienced this anywhere else on our trip and to us just seemed a way of making additional money out of what was essentially a captive market given the distance to other restaurants and eating places. Some minor issues of attention to detail in our room like there only being three mugs for four people, and the bottom sheets on the beds not reaching the foot of the mattress!? - but these issues wouldn't put us off from staying at this accommodation again in the future.
